Abstract:This paper presents an introduction to a quasi three dimensional numerical computer program of the fluid flow fields and heat transfer performance of condensers based on WINDOWS operation system. The method makes use of a porous media model with distributed drag and distributed mass sink, respectively modeling the effect of blockage and condensation in cooling tube bundle regions. The numerical method and computer program is applied to predict the performance of mass of condensers, in which the results show a satisfactory rationality as well as a good agreement with experimental data.
