| Abstract: | Fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) holds many virtues in the field of timber structures reinforecement,such as lightness,high strength,corrision stability and excellent flexibility.The status in quo of timber structures reinforcement is presented.The test on short|term and long|time behaviors of timber structures reinforced by FRP and the application in building structures are addressed.Considering the bright future of FRP in the reinforcement of timber structures,there are still many fields need be studied in the future. |
