新城是大城市城镇体系的重要组成部分,新城建设有助于疏散大城市人口和产业,缓解＂大城市病＂。在新一轮上海城市总体规划中,新城作为郊区建设的重点,其地位正日益凸显。利用六普人口数据,探讨上海人口增长和新城人口集聚态势;通过新城实地调研,掌握新城建设发展现状及存在问题;结合人口发展与新城建设,提出相关对策建议以推动未来新城的进一步发展。

A Study on the Development of New Towns in Shanghai

New Towns are the important parts of the metropolitan urban system,and the development of new towns can help to disperse the population and industry of metropolis,and also relieve the urban problems.As a result,a new round of the urban planning in Shanghai will focus on the development of New Towns in the suburbs.The paper discusses the trend of population growth of Shanghai and population agglomeration of New Towns using the newest data of sixth census.And then it tries to find the current status and existing problems in the development of New towns through the field research.Finally,the paper puts forward several measures to promote the further development of New Towns in Shanghai.
