Design of the Expanded Inpatient Building of Ningbo Medical Centre (Li Huili Hospital)

The quality of hospital environment and medical space has aroused great concern among all walks of life, which shows the sustained increase in the patients demand on high quality medical service on the one hand and the developmen- tal pressure of improving quality of service, medical environ- ment as well as integrating architectural functions that hospi- tals at various levels all face on the other. This paper intro- duces the expanded inpatient building of Ningbo Medical Cen- tre (Li Huili Hospital) and explores the designing methods in order to balance the environment, form and function.
