| Abstract: | The paper analyzes and explores various mistaken thoughts and ideas towards "tradition" and "modernity". By elaborating on issues of the relation between "tradition" and "modernity" and the meaning of traditional culture as well as the nature of modernity, the paper puts forward its own opinions on how to understand "tradition" and "modernity" correctly, and how to think about and deal with their relations in terms of the development of Chinese contemporary city and architecture. |
