| Abstract: | The working principles and mechanical characteristics of the structure of several intelligent materials are discussed, which contain shape memory alloy, piezoelectric material, electromagnetorheological suspensions and so on. The application of them in civil engineering and related research achievement are introduced. The problems existed in research and application process is also pointed out. In the end some constructive suggestions are proposed. |
