| Abstract: | This third report by the ITA Working Group “Design of Underground Structures” deals with the state-of-the-art vis-á-vis the main design considerations for underground waste repositories in different types of grounds. The report discusses various types of underground facilities, as well as the general approach to safety assessments and design criteria. It is hoped that the report will contribute to a wider application of the ground for environmental purposes. |
