Abstract:The inflexible response to variation of groundwater level and the adverse impact on building or environment are two main defects of the common design methods on anti-floating of structures.The water-discharging pressure relief technology on anti-floating of structures got effective approaches to dealing with them on the basis of common methods.The new technology aimed at keeping a stable groundwater level and minimizing adverse effect on environment around by dynamic control system of the combination of water-discharging pressure relief system and pressure relief security control system.Refer to the successful application of the new system in the project of Universal Studios Singapore,the new system and its design principle was introduced.The practice showed that the system in Universal Studios Singapore well adapted to the variation of groundwater level in different seasons since which was put into service,and ensured safety of the project.
