| Abstract: | The viscous damping wall is a type of energy dissipation device for building structures.In this paper,the details and the seismic reduction principle of the viscous damping wall are presented,and the recent advances in the research on it both at home and abroad are summarized.The applications of viscous damping walls in Japan are introduced.Finally,in order to use viscous damping walls in China,some problems to be further studied are suggested. |
