Multivariate Expansion and Integrated Symbiosis--An Approach to the Innovating Technique in the "Generalized Regional Architecture"

The "Generalized regional architecture" is an important trend of exploration in contemporary architectural creation. The change of its idea is expressed at the marginal expansion, the blend of opposite sides, and the many-sided exploration. This paper summarizes some architectural innovative technique, such as: the reappearance and abstraction; the contrast and assimilation; the symbol and metaphor; the ecology and digitization, etc. As an special case of generalized regional architecture, "the high-tech vernacular" and its some technique are also analyzed.
