通过对美国Kokomo市公园与游憩部(KPRD)4名主要官员的访谈,并结合访问相关部门官方网站、咨询专家、查阅文献等方式,对美国联邦和州级相关重要组织,如内政部、农业部、非营利性组织——美国国家游憩与公园协会(NRPA)、州自然资源部等机构进行了较为全面的梳理;对美国城市公园与游憩部(PRD)在上级机构和市级城市功能中的地位和职能进行了分析;对美国城市公园与游憩部(DPR)的组织结构、服务内容中的游憩项目、资源和公共参与方式进行了介绍,为中国城市游憩供给与管理提供了重要参考。

Functions and Status of Parks and Recreation Department in USA

Through the interviews with four key officers of Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD), expert consulting, website visiting and literature review, the authors have put the important organizations on recreation, such as Department of Interior, Department of Agriculture and NRPA in order. This paper analyses the status, organization structure, the recreational items in its service, resources and public participation of parks and recreation department (PRD) of USA and provides reference documents for promoting recreation supply and management of the cities in China.
