江阴名园适园

适园为江苏省江阴市古典园林,始建于清咸丰年间,几经战乱,保留至今。因历代园主均为诗画双全的传统文人,故堆山理水颇得诗情画意,可以称得上是典型的江南文人园。布局合风水及绘画空间经营之要,讲究远近高低、前后左右方位、山水结合、花木结合、四季有花和步步成景。景名典出历代名人之作,意蕴深潜,境界高远,处处引证据典,令人遐思。苦思冥想之后,豁然开朗,所得匪浅。古园饱经风霜,已显旧态。虽构筑朴素,然可鉴者不少,不失为古园佳作。

Shiyuan——The Famous Garden in Jiangyin

Founded during Xianfeng period in Qing Dynasty,the famous garden Shiyuan of Jiangyin City was rebuilt many times after wars.There is something of poem and painting and something of Fengshui,which is so called typical south China scholar garden.It is very important in height and distance,orientation,combination of mountain and water,combination of flowers and trees,blossom in every seasons,and sceneries by steps.Because the names of sceneries come from works of famous persons, the meanings become deep and profound,and the conception becomes high and far.One cannot be suddenly enlightened without hard thinking.The garden has become weather-beaten and old.There is something for us to learn although some buildings are very simple.
