Raft Foundation with Stump of Ribbed Beam

In stump-raft-ribbed beam foundation, a vertical load spreads over ribbed beam and foundation plate across stump, at last the ground carries it. Different from general raft foundation, the inner force of ribbed beam is calculated as variable section because of the stump. The bending moment, the shear force of variable section and their coefficient of continuous beams on many supports of variable section are given. As an example, the design calculation of stump-raft-ribbed beam foundation is introduced.
