埋深仅几十米至百余米的第四系浅层生物成因天然气藏广泛分布于苏、浙、皖、沪、闽、粤、鄂、湘等省市的冲积平原区。历史上曾多次打井试图加以利用，但终因气层薄、压力低、产量小且多为气水同层，一直未能奏效。１９９２年起，通过对多种勘探方法的试验比较，选择了以静力触探技术为主，配合少量横波骨干地震剖面的勘探方法，大幅度地降低了勘探成本，在杭州湾地区已发现了６个浅气田及一些小块的含气面积，共获控制储量３．４３亿立方米。

QUATERNARY SHALLOW GAS CHARACTERISTICS IN HANGZHOU BAY AND THE EXPLORATION METHOD,

??Quaternary shallow biogenic gas reservoirs with burial depth of several tens to over one hundred are widely distributed in the alluvial plains of Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Anhui,Shanghai,Fujian,Hubei,Hunan ctc.It was not successful in the past trying to drill and develop the shallow gas because of the reservoirs with thin gas layers,low pressure,small production and gas-water bearings.Through testing and comparing with many exploration methods,the one of taking static trigger exploration as mainbody and combining a few of shear wave backbone seismic sections has been applied since 1992,which made the explorative cost greatly reduced.6 shallow gas fields and some small gas bearing areas with 3.43×10⁸m³ of controlled reseres have been found out in Hangzhou Bay.
