浅谈影响炼油厂机械密封使用的几个因素

机械密封运行状况的好坏 ,直接影响装置的正常生产。分析了影响机械密封使用的几个因素 ,包括温度、压力、转速以及被密封介质的特点。针对各种不同的使用条件 ,提出了相应的可行性方案。例如普热条件时采用普通弹簧型机械密封 ,并加装水冷却系统 ;高温条件时采用金属波纹管机械密封 ;对于工作压力波动的机械密封应选用碳化钨对碳化钨摩擦副 ;对于气体介质采用双端面密封等。采用这些方案 ,可在一定程度上提高机械密封性能 ,延长其使用寿命

Factors affecting use of mechanical seals in refinery

Working status of mechanical seals influences directly the performance of equipment in the petroleum refinery. The factors affecting the use of mechanical seals, including temperature, pressure, rotary speed and characteristic of the sealed medium, are analyzed. Corresponding feasibility schemes are offered for different service conditions. At normal temperature, conventional spring type mechanical seal can be used and a water cooling system should be installed; at high temperature, metallic bellows seal can be adopted; at fluctuated pressure, tungsten carbide tungsten carbide friction pairs should be selected for the seals; and mechanical double seals can be used for sealing gas. As these schemes are put into effect, the property of mechanical seals can be improved to a certain degree and thereby their service life can be extended.
