| Abstract: | Biorefinery is defined as an industrial process which converts biomass into a range of biochemicals, materials and energy products. The application of biorefinery in the pulp and paper industry includes the extraction prior to pulping, ethanol production, chemicals and structural materials, black liquor gasification, lignin precipitation and biodiesel extraction from tall off. These technologies were introduced and some general information was disclosed. |
