| Abstract: | In this paper, the products, mechanism and application of halogen, phosphous and intumescent flame retardants were summarized. The importance of flame retardant treatment on leather articles was put forward. The factors affecting the flame resistance property of leather were discussed and the future development of flame retardants on leather industry was also described. |
