摘    要:从空气中分离一株分枝杆菌属菌株C(?)_(-1)能够在以1~1.5%蔗糖或葡萄糖为唯一碳源的培养基中良好生长,并产生桔红色的胞内色素,经鉴定为类胡萝卜素。其色素的形成与细胞生长同步。在最适条件下,色素产量可以达到650mg/L,其中β-胡萝卜素的含量占总色素量43.17%。

Study on the Characters of a Higher Carotin -producing Bacterium Cr-1
Abstract:A strain Cr-1 of Mycobacterium, isolated from atmosphere, grew well on the medium of 1-1.5% glucose or sucrose as a sole carbon source and produced orange intracellu-lar pigments, which were identified as carotenoids and the carotenoid pigments formation was nearly paralled with the bacterial growth. Under the optimum condition, the amounts of pigments produced reached about 650mg per liter of the culture and β-carotein was 43.17% of total pigments.
