Abstract:In this paper,the research background of highly branched macromolecules used as papermaking retention aids was explained,the classification,conformation and production methods of highly branched macromolecules as papermaking retention aids was mainly discussed.We can predict that the highly branched polymers with low molecular weight and high cationic charge density will offer a bright foreground as retention aids.
