| Abstract: | The advancements of research on nicotine catabolism of microorganisms in the past decades were reviewed.The advancements mainly include classification and diversity of nicotine-degrading microbes,catabolism pathways,molecular biology and enzymes about nicotine degradation,and the application of these nicotine-degrading microbes is also overviewed.It is suggested that nicotine-degrading microbes play important roles in depressing nicotine of tobacoo leaves and environment. |
