| Abstract: | Nowdays,artificial neural networkhas become one of basic technologies in artificialintelligence. This paper briefly looks back on itsadvances in recent years and discusses its role inthe progress of mechanical engineering science.The paper emphasizes the importance of its topo-logical structures and training algorithms for do-main experts in their research activities. Finally,the present situation and perspectives in mechan-ical engineering applications of the ANN are alsoreviewed. |
