Abstract:This paper introduces the outstanding performances of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, and describes its application in every field. Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene is of many outstanding physical and mechanical performances such as impact resistance, self lubrication, be able to bear wear and erosion and so on. Although there is some shortcoming, it may be modified by additives such as PEFE, fibreglass, carbonglass, talc and micropyroceram. With the development of the methods of molding and processing, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene will be used in more and more new fields.
