Abstract:Semiconductor lasers have become the most rapidly advanced laser technology in the last ten years. The paper introduces the present status of the semiconductor lasers,and also describes the applications of the semiconductor lasers in various fields, including laser radar, laser range finding, laser fuse, laser guidance and tracking, laser acquiring and warning, laser simulation, laser and optical fiber communication, optical fiber gyroes, and in the fields of the national economy.
