| Abstract: | The types and characteristics of stress corrosion cracking(SCC) for pipeline steels are introduced. The conditions associated with the generation of environments for high pH SCC and near neutral pH SCC are discussed. Some suggestions on the environmental simulation in SCC research of pipeline steel used for the West to East Natural Gas Transmission Project in China are brought forward. |
