Comparison of the Two Types of Variable Speed Devices of Centrifugal Compressor Driven by Motor

This paper had introduced the superiority of variable speed control of centrifugal compressor and the features of every variable speed driven sys- tem. The main two types of driven systems, that are variable frequency driven and hydraulic driven, are compared in the aspects of technology economy and energy saving. Meanwhile, the actual effects during use are compared. Finally, the developing trend of variable speed driven system in the driven centrifugal compressor market is especially pointed out.
