| Abstract: | This paper introduces the theory, construction of system and software design of a new portable measuring instrument to surface roughness with microcomputer as controller and optical fiber as sensor. This instrument has many advantages such as high efficiency, easy to use, high probability of test, low cost and small in volume. It is very usable to examine large quantity of parts at production sites or spot check. |
