Abstract: | Accurate and reliable fault diagnosis technique is crucial to guarantee the safe, stable and reliable operation of lithium-ion batteries. First, the common fault types of battery system are briefly summarized and the failure initiation mechanisms of battery are elaborated. Then, the current developed fault diagnosis techniques for battery system are classified. Moreover, several typical fault diagnosis methods and their corresponding application cases for battery system are reviewed. Finally, the challenging and future research direction of fault diagnosis for lithium-ion batteries are proposed. |
