Abstract: | In the GNSS era, how to effectively enhance the navigation signal integrity monitoring capacity by using multi-frequency information is becoming a hot topic and the mainstream of RAIM technique. Based on the “virtual” multi-frequency ionospheric delay model of the single-frequency receiver, the paper proposes a novel virtual multi-frequency integrity monitoring technique for the single-frequency receiver, then presents the virtual multi-frequency criterion for fault detection and identification. Simulating results show that the “virtual multi-frequency” RAIM technique not only breaks through the limit to the number of visible satellites of traditional RAIM algorithms, but also greatly enhances the RAIM performance of the receiver without changing the hardware structure of the receiver, which would be of a tempting theoretical and practical value. |
