Abstract:Four schemes of image control points are investigated under the assistance of high-precision POS data to explore the optimal layout of image control points in the plain terrain that meets the standard tolerance requirements. The results show plane accuracies in the aerial triangulation of the four schemes are similar, but elevation accuracies are significantly different. POS data-assisted solution can significantly improve the elevation accuracy. Through a comparative analysis, it is found that image control points with the number of 10 baseline intervals and 4 airline intervals is the best optimal layout, when its plane accuracy can meet the requirements of 1∶500 scale mapping and elevation accuracy can meet the requirements of 1∶2000 scale mapping.
