Abstract:Thermoplastic vulcanizates(TPV)based on ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer(EAA)/nitrile rubber(NBR)blends were prepared by dynamic vulcanization process,the tearing strength,microstructure,Mullins effect under tearing mode and its reversible behavior at different heat temperatures were investigated.The results showed that the tearing strength and strain of EAA/NBR TPV were higher when the mass ratio of EAA to NBR was 40/60.Microscopic observation showed that EAA/NBR TPV had a typical structure of“sea-island”microstructure.An obvious Mullins effect could be observed during the uniaxial cycle loading-unloading of EAA/NBR TPV under tearing mode.The maximum tear strength under tearing mode,residual deformation,internal friction and damping factor were increased with the increasing of strain under tearing mode,while the degree of stress softening effect was decreased.During the reversible recovery process of Mullins effect,the recovery ability of EAA/NBR TPV was significantly improved after the proper heat treatment,and the recovery effect was best at 105℃.
