Robot hands have been utilized in bilateral teleoperation as mechanical interfaces. As mechanisms of robot hands, wire mechanisms and rod mechanisms have been developed. Wire mechanisms have a flexibility of allocation of actuators and the fingertips of the robot hand. The demerit of wire mechanisms is that they do not transmit position and force accurately. On the other hand, rod mechanisms are useful for transmitting position and force accurately. The disadvantage of rod mechanisms is that they restrict allocation of actuators and the fingertips of the robot hand. Therefore, the flexible actuator has been developed for having merits of both wire mechanisms and rod mechanisms. In the flexible actuator, the thrust wire transmits position and force from actuators to the fingertips of the robot hand. This paper verifies position and force transfer characteristics of the thrust wire. Moreover, as one of the application of the flexible actuator, the experimental results of a bilateral teleoperation system with the flexible actuator is shown. It is confirmed that the flexible actuator has the merits of both wire mechanisms and rod mechanisms when the flexible actuator is applied to the bilateral teleoperation system.  相似文献

To ameliorate high collision, a nefarious side effect of route discovery stage of reactive routing protocols in wireless networks, jitter mechanisms are proposed which enforce wireless nodes to postpone their transmission for a random amount of time so as to reduce probability of simultaneous transmission. Although it has been shown that jitter mechanisms can dramatically improve reactive routing protocols, it was not until recently that jitter mechanisms have been subjected to study. In this paper, different random distributions are proposed for jittering mechanisms and also shaping function, with the aim of which a simple routing protocol like AODV becomes sensitive to any arbitrary metric, is defined. Comprehensive simulation of routing metrics and jitter mechanisms have revealed that simple modification of a jitter mechanism, which can be even implemented independent of a routing protocol, greatly improves routes discovered by any routing protocol.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the modeling of dry silicon thermal oxidation in the light of the model capabilities and the trends in microelectronics. We show how a combined use of different models can be made in a way to generate process simulations that are strongly related to microscopic physical phenomena. In conjunction with experimental literature data, first principle calculations have been carried out with the objective of isolating some elementary oxidation mechanisms, i.e. basic atomic movements and their corresponding activation energies. This preliminary list of mechanisms is discussed in detail. A growth mechanism allowing the oxide defect generation is proposed. We then present Monte Carlo calculations with the implemented mechanisms where at least three silicon layers are oxidized. Finally, we introduce a macroscopic formulation of these mechanisms via the Chemical Rate Theory.  相似文献

Crosstalk in directional couplers (DC's) is an important parameter for device and system performance. Although various crosstalk mechanisms have been studied through the course of integrated optics, the fundamental lower limit for crosstalk is still uncertain. In this paper, crosstalk mechanisms are reviewed and fundamental limits are discussed. Catalysts are usually required to produce carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and play important roles during the growth process. Any catalysts that remain after processing are expected to add extra properties and removal of the catalysts is usually required to achieve the original properties of CNTs. Recently, CNTs have been filled incidentally by catalysts, such as Pb, Sn, Ni and Bi. This has led to success in obtaining additional properties and a few models have been proposed to describe the encapsulating mechanisms. In the present study, CNTs were filled with palladium by a microwave plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition method. Detailed structural and compositional investigations of these metal-filled CNTs were carried out by transmission electron microscopy to elucidate the growth mechanisms.  相似文献

The use of agent and multiagent techniques to assist humans in their daily routines has been increasing for many years, notably in command and control C2 systems. In this context, we propose using multiagent planning and coordination techniques for resources management in C2 systems. The particular problem we studied is the design of a decision-support for antiair warfare on combat ships. In this paper, we refer to the specific case of several combat ships defending against incoming threats and where coordination of their respective resources is a complex problem of capital importance. Efficient coordination mechanisms between the different combat ships are then important to avoid redundancy in engagements and inefficient defence caused by the conflicting actions. To this end, we present four different coordination mechanisms based on task sharing. Three of these mechanisms are communication-based: central coordination, contract Net coordination, and ~ Brown coordination, while the last one is a zone defence coordination and is based on conventions. Nowadays, around 80 % of the mobile data traffic is generated indoors, and, therefore, in-building solutions are gaining interest among mobile operators, to improve user’s quality of experience and optimize the use of network resources. In this context, with IEEE 802.11 and 3G/HSPA femtocells competing as in-building solutions long term evolution has appeared to enable operators to meet growing data-rate demands, and it is expected to have a key role in future indoor deployments. In this paper, a complete analysis of the performance of in-building self-deployment LTE solutions is carried out, by means of system-level network simulations in multiple typical indoor scenarios. The variability of the performance due to aspects such as the arbitrary HeNB location, the penetration rate of the service, the neighboring effects of HeNB nodes, the frequency used and the interaction among LTE macrocells and femtocells are thoroughly studied and discussed. Besides that, mechanisms proposed in 3GPP Release 11 to mitigate performance degradation in high density HeNB deployments are presented and analyzed. With regard to these mechanisms, different configuration access modes control schemes to automatically select transmitted power and Intercell Interference Coordination Techniques (ICIC) have been considered, and their effect on the performance of HeNB in-building deployments have been assessed. The results obtained provide network designers and mobile operators with valuable information about the expected number of indoor users which can be served using HeNB networks and its variability under different network conditions. In addition to this, results presented are useful to define policies to select when mechanisms to mitigate performance degradation are required to be activated, depending on the type of deployment scenario, penetration rates, HeNB loads or operator prioritization requirements, and both select the ranges of the configurable parameters of these mechanisms, and HeNB default settings.  相似文献

Stress-induced leakage current (SILC) has been recognized as a topic of concern in flash memory reliability. It is a reliable failure mechanism, occurring long before oxide breakdown and, hence, limiting oxide lifetime[1]. The physical origin and mechanisms of SILC have not yet been clearly understood and several points open to discussion remain. In this work the role of oxide hole fluence in producing the SILC is discussed. An universal power law of SILC generation kinetics is proposed versus the hole fluence throughout the oxide. The experimental results are theoretically validated by modeling the measured quantum-yield by the contributions of both anode hole injection and electron valence band injection mechanisms.  相似文献
