High hardness alumina coatings were formed at atmospheric pressure by gas tunnel plasma spraying, and the characteristics of these coatings were investigated. The hardness on the cross section of the alumina coating at a short spraying distance was more than 1300 HV, and the thickness of the hard layer increased with an increase of power input. The microstructure of the alumina coating was investigated by microscopy and x-ray diffraction (XRD) methods. It was ascertained that the cell size was small (∼10 μn), and α-alumina was dominant in the high hardness layer of the coating. Finally, the effect of plasma energy was estimated from these results.  相似文献

A high-precision plasma system has been pursued for advanced thermal processing. The gas tunnel type plasma jet device developed by the author exhibits high energy density and also high efficiency. Among its various applications is the plasma spraying of ceramics such as Al2O3 and ZrO2. The performance of these ceramic coatings is superior to conventional ones. Properties such as the mechanical and chemical properties of the zirconia coatings were reported in previous studies. In this study, the enhancement of the performance of functional ceramic coatings by the gas tunnel type plasma spraying method was carried out using different powders. Results show that the alumina/zirconia composite system exhibited improvements of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. The alumina/zirconia composite coating has the potential for use as a high functionally graded thermal barrier coating. Another application of the gas tunnel type plasma is for surface modification of metals. As an example, TiN films were formed in 5 s and, thick TiN coatings were easily obtained by gas tunnel type plasma reactive spraying.  相似文献

采用超音速等离子喷涂技术(SAPS)在Q235钢基体表面制备了ZrO2涂层。利用扫描电镜(SEM)、能谱仪(EDS)、X射线衍射仪(XRD)分别对ZrO2涂层微观形貌、物相组成、元素分布进行了检测和分析,同时利用维氏硬度计对ZrO2涂层硬度进行了测量,分别得出了涂层、涂层与基体连接处、基体的硬度值。结果表明:利用超音速等离子喷涂技术所制备的ZrO2涂层表面存在大量颗粒凸起和孔洞。涂层截面存在形状为“马蹄形”、“弯月形”、“椭球形”以及“不规则多边形”的孔洞和横向裂纹缺陷,孔隙率为13%。在高温作用下,涂层中Zr元素发生扩散,由涂层顶部至底部Zr元素含量上升,且基体表面出现少量Zr元素。涂层材料在喷涂过程中发生相变,由单斜相转为四方相。涂层、涂层与基体连接处、基体显微硬度分别为740.51、205.79、189.33 HV0.2,涂层与基体连接处相比于基体材料表面的显微硬度提高。  相似文献

Metallic glass has excellent functions such as high toughness and corrosion resistance. Therefore it is one of the most attractive materials, and many researchers have conducted various developmental research works. However, the metallic glass material is expensive and a composite material is preferred for the industrial application. Thermal spraying method is one of potential candidates to produce metallic glass composites. The gas tunnel type plasma system, which has high energy density and efficiency, is useful for smart plasma processing to obtain high quality ceramic coatings such as alumina (Al2O3) and zirconia (ZrO2) coatings. Also, the gas tunnel type plasma spraying can produce metallic glass coatings. In this study, the Fe-base metallic glass coatings were formed on the stainless-steel substrate by the gas tunnel type plasma spraying, and the microstructure and mechanical property were investigated. The Fe-base metallic glass coatings of about 200 μm in thickness were dense with a Vickers hardness of about Hv = 1100 at plasma current of 300 A. The abrasive wear resistance of Fe-base metallic glass coating was higher than the SUS substrate.  相似文献

The spraying distance, substrate temperature, coating thickness and surface roughness of substrate during deposition play an important role on the plasma spray coating process and effect the final properties of the coatings. Al2O3 coatings on AISI 304 L stainless steel substrate were prepared to investigate the effects on the coating of these parameters. The results indicated that the parameters such as the spraying distance, substrate temperature, coating thickness and substrate roughness were fairly effected the hardness, porosity and surface roughness of Al2O3 coatings. The lowest surface roughness and the lowest porosity and the highest hardness values of Al2O3 coating were obtained for the spraying distance of 12 cm and the surface roughness of 3.28 μm and the substrate temperature of 500 °C. It also found that the increases of coating thickness were lowered the hardness and enhanced the porosity and the coating roughness.  相似文献

采用大气等离子喷涂制备了Ta2O5原位复合钽基纳米晶涂层,利用SEM、微束XRD、微动摩擦磨损实验机及非接触三维表面轮廓仪等技术手段并结合计算分析,考察了喷涂功率、主气(Ar)流量等对钽基涂层表面Ta2O5含量、晶粒尺寸、显微硬度和摩擦磨损性能等的影响规律及原因。在考察范围内,随喷涂功率增大,钽基涂层表面Ta2O5含量呈先减小后增大的变化,而涂层表面α-Ta的晶粒尺寸及点阵畸变则均呈先增大后减小的变化;随Ar气流量增大,涂层表面Ta2O5含量总体呈减小趋势,在流量为2.17×10-3~2.33×10-3m3/s时达到最低,α-Ta的晶粒尺寸与点阵畸变的变化呈负相关性;采用间断喷涂方法时涂层表面Ta2O5含量降低,α-Ta晶粒尺寸及点阵畸变均略有减小。通过对喷涂相关微观过程特点的分析,对这些规律作了阐释。涂层的显微硬度与其表面Ta2O5含量相关,高硬度涂层的表面Ta2O5含量相对较低;干摩擦条件下晶粒较大、Ta2O5含量较少的涂层抵御硬质陶瓷低速刻划的能力较差;边界润滑状态下硬度较高的涂层表现出更优的抗磨减摩性能;采取间断喷涂可获得摩擦学性能最佳的涂层。钽基涂层的机械性能与其微观结构特征显著相关;除显微硬度外,涂层晶粒尺寸、点阵畸变及表面Ta2O5含量的相对值可用作质量控制的重要指标。  相似文献

The aim of this study is to investigate residual stresses occurred during cooling procedure of ZrO2 insulation coating on Ag substrate for magnet technologies. ZrO2 coatings were produced on Ag tape substrate by using a reel-to-reel sol–gel technique. SEM inspection showed that ZrO2 coatings had mosaic structures. ANSYS finite element software was used to calculate the temperature and stress distribution of the ZrO2/Ag structure. The effect of coating thickness on residual stresses was also examined. The results obtained showed that thermal stresses in ZrO2 coating and Ag substrate were considerably affected by the cooling time and coating thickness. It is concluded the thermal stresses increase with increase of film thickness.  相似文献

为提升氧乙炔火焰喷涂NiCrFeAl/hBN复合涂层的力学性能,对氧乙炔火焰喷涂的氧燃比、喷枪速度及喷涂间距等3个主要参数,采用L9(34)正交试验方法,以涂层的表面洛氏硬度和结合强度性能为主要判定指标分析了不同工艺参数的影响主次关系,对最优工艺制备涂层性能进行了验证。结果表明,喷涂间距是影响涂层性能的主要因素,最优工艺参数为氧燃比(O2/C2H2)26/20,枪速600 mm/s,间距12 mm,涂层内部组织更为均匀、熔融结合较好,表面平整、未熔颗粒较少,涂层平均结合强度高达10.3 MPa,表面平均洛氏硬度为54.9 HR15Y。  相似文献

The effects of La2O3 addition on thermal conductivity, phase stability and thermal cycle life of Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2 plasma sprayed coatings were investigated. Although low thermal conductivity as well as high resistance to sintering was achieved by La2O3 addition, it tended to also result in lower phase stability and thermal cycle life of the coatings. Optimization of the composition and structure of the coatings improved these properties, and the optimized coatings showed prolonged thermal cycle life.  相似文献

Ni53Nb20Ti10Zr8Co6Cu3 (at.%) amorphous alloy with high glass forming ability (GFA), capable of forming a wholly amorphous rod of 3 mm diameter by casting, was adopted to deposit amorphous metallic coatings by high velocity air fuel (HVAF) thermal spraying. The effects of powder feed rate and spraying distance on amorphous phase content and porosity of the coatings were investigated. It was indicated that an appropriate powder feed rate was desirable to produce a coating with high amorphous fraction, whereas a larger spraying distance led to a more dense coating. The corrosion resistance of the sprayed coatings was also examined in 1 M HCl aqueous solution.  相似文献

采用激光熔覆和大气等离子喷涂技术在镍基高温合金(GH4169)上制备NiCoCrAlYTa涂层,研究2种涂层的微观组织和高温氧化性能。采用扫描电子显微镜、X射线衍射仪和能谱仪观察涂层的微观组织形态和物相分析。结果表明:激光熔覆涂层中形成胞状亚结构的等轴晶凝固组织,相对于等离子喷涂涂层结构更致密。在1100 ℃氧化100 h后,喷涂涂层的氧化产物主要为Cr2O3和尖晶石,抗氧化能力降低;而激光熔覆涂层较为致密、孔隙少,氧化产物为γ-matrix、NiO和少量尖晶石,其抗氧化性能明显优于等离子喷涂涂层。  相似文献

Improvement of wear resistance of plasma-sprayed molybdenum blend coatings   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The wear resistance of plasma sprayed molybdenum blend coatings applicable to synchronizer rings or piston rings was investigated in this study. Four spray powders, one of which was pure molybdenum and the others blended powders of bronze and aluminum-silicon alloy powders mixed with molybdenum powders, were sprayed on a low-carbon steel substrate by atmospheric plasma spraying. Microstructural analysis of the coatings showed that the phases formed during spraying were relatively homogeneously distributed in the molybdenum matrix. The wear test results revealed that the wear rate of all the coatings increased with increasing wear load and that the blended coatings exhibited better wear resistance than the pure molybdenum coating, although the hardness was lower. In the pure molybdenum coatings, splats were readily fractured, or cracks were initiated between splats under high wear loads, thereby leading to the decrease in wear resistance. On the other hand, the molybdenum coating blended with bronze and aluminum-silicon alloy powders exhibited excellent wear resistance because hard phases such as CuAl2 and Cu9Al4 formed inside the coating.  相似文献

采用微束等离子喷涂方法在St37低碳钢上制备了NiCrBSi涂层.研究了基材温度、等离子气体流量、喷涂距离和电流强度等工艺参数对涂层组织结构和性能的影响.采用光学显微镜观察涂层的组织结构,用Perthometers M4P 150测定涂层的表面粗糙度,以及用LECO TC316气体抽提仪检测涂层的氧含量.结果表明,在试验条件下,喷涂参数对涂层组织和性能产生较大的影响.随着电流和基材温度的增加涂层的粗糙度降低,涂层的氧含量随着基材温度和喷涂距离的增加而增加.大多数涂层的显微硬度大于600 HV0.2.尽管粒子速度较低,涂层的平均结合强度仍然大于50 MPa.  相似文献

One- and two-dimensional thermal models were developed to predict the thermal response of tubes with and without thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) tested for short durations in a H2/O2 rocket engine. Temperatures were predicted using median thermophysical property data for traditional air plasma sprayed ZrO2–Y2O3 TBCs, as well as air plasma sprayed and low pressure plasma sprayed ZrO2–Y2O3/NiCrAlY cermet coatings. Good agreement was observed between predicted and measured metal temperatures. It was also shown that the variation in the reported values of the thermal conductivity of plasma sprayed ZrO2–Y2O3 coatings can result in temperature differences of up to 180°C at the ceramic/metal interface. In contrast, accounting for the presence of the bond coat or radiation from the ceramic layer had only a small effect on substrate temperatures (<20°C). The thermal models were also used to show that for the short duration test conditions of this study, a 100 μm thick ZrO2–Y2O3 coating would provide a metal temperature benefit of approximately 300°C over an uncoated tube while a 200 μm thick coating would provide a benefit greater than 500°C. The difference in the thermal response between tubes and rods was also predicted and used to explain the previously-observed increased life of TBCs on rods over that on tubes.  相似文献

利用等离子喷涂方法制备Al2O3-40% TiO2涂层,对涂层进行激光重熔处理.分别对等离子喷涂层和激光重熔涂层进行耐冲蚀磨损性能试验,研究了激光重熔对Al2O3-40% TiO2等离子喷涂层耐冲蚀性能的影响.结果表明,激光重熔消除了Al2O3-40% TiO2等离子喷涂层的层状结构,使得等离子喷涂层中γ-Al2O3转变为α-Al2O3,形成了α-Al2O3+TiAl2O5稳定结构.激光重熔后的涂层组织致密均匀、硬度高,具有冶金结合特征,使得耐冲蚀性能得到极大提高,其磨损特征为冲蚀粒子冲击作用下产生的裂纹、破碎与块状剥落.  相似文献

在Q235低碳钢板上利用电弧喷涂工艺进行喷涂,以制得Fe65Cr20Mo7B3.5SiMn1.5W3涂层。喷涂材料为自行配制的丝材,按照35%的填充率将配好的粉填充到U型不锈钢外皮中,经过多道拉拔、挤压工艺制成Φ2mm的粉芯丝材。采用X射线衍射仪、扫描电镜、能谱分析仪、透射电镜对涂层的物相和组织形貌及成分进行了表征;采用差示扫描量热仪、显微硬度仪等设备对涂层的热稳定性及显微硬度进行了检测和分析。试验结果表明:涂层组织形貌呈典型的层状组织结构,由变形良好的带状粒子相互搭接堆积而成。涂层含有50.63%的非晶相,同时含有纳米级的晶相。涂层组织均匀、结构致密、孔隙率低,并且涂层硬度高达1040.5HV0.3,属硬质涂层,具有良好的热稳定性。  相似文献

采用大气等离子喷涂(APS)技术在0Cr25Ni20奥氏体不锈钢表面制备了NiCoCrAlYTa-Al2O3涂层,并对该涂层的显微组织、相组成、显微硬度以及在500 ℃时涂层的高温摩擦性能进行了研究。结果表明,NiCoCrAlYTa-Al2O3涂层呈典型层状结构,各层间结合良好。涂层内存在大量微孔隙,且硬质相与软质相分散分布,有效抑制了高温磨擦过程中裂纹的产生和扩展,涂层耐磨性能较奥氏体不锈钢基体材料显著提高。高温磨损过程中,涂层表面形成氧化产物,起到固体润滑作用。NiCoCrAlYTa-Al2O3涂层的磨损失效形式主要是磨粒磨损、疲劳磨损和粘着磨损。  相似文献

采用等离子喷涂技术在TiAl合金表面制备了MCrAlY涂层,并用激光重熔工艺对涂层进行处理,研究了TiAl合金、等离子喷涂MCrAlY涂层及激光重熔MCrAlY涂层850℃下75%Na2SO4+25%NaCl(质量分数)混合盐浸泡热腐蚀性能,分析了不同试样的热腐蚀破坏机理,并讨论了激光重熔处理对涂层热腐蚀性能的影响.结果表明,等离子喷涂MCrAlY涂层能显著提高TiAl合金的耐热腐蚀性能,经过激光重熔后可进一步提高其耐热腐蚀性能.MCrAlY涂层在高温熔盐中的热腐蚀发生的是表面氧化反应和内部硫化反应,主要生成Al2O3,Cr2O3,NiO,NiCr2O4,Ni3S2及CrS等腐蚀产物.  相似文献

使用激光熔覆技术在Q235钢基体上制备AlxNbMn2FeMoTi0.5高熵合金涂层,期望借此提高干切削技术适用刀具表层的硬度和耐磨性。经过初步筛选之后,主要研究了AlxNbMn2FeMoTi0.5(x=1、1.5、2)高熵合金涂层体系,并采用XRD和3D激光扫描成像等手段分析了不同Al含量的AlxNbMn2FeMoTi0.5合金涂层的晶相结构、显微组织和具体元素分布。结果显示,对于AlxNbMn2FeMoTi0.5高熵合金涂层,随着Al含量的增加,涂层的相结构由单一的BCC相逐渐转变为双相BCC结构,晶粒逐渐细化。当x=2时,AlxNbMn2FeMoTi0.5高熵合金涂层硬度最高,平均为1089.6 HV0.3,大约为基材的5倍,且其具有最优的耐磨损性能。x=1.5时,AlxNbMn2FeMoTi0.5高熵合金涂层的自腐蚀电位最高,自腐蚀电流密度最小,耐腐蚀性最好。  相似文献
