A smart drug delivery system integrating both photothermal therapy and chemotherapy for killing cancer cells is reported. The delivery system is based on a mesoporous silica‐coated Pd@Ag nanoplates composite. The Pd@Ag nanoplate core can effectively absorb and convert near infrared (NIR) light into heat. The mesoporous silica shell is provided as the host for loading anticancer drug, doxorubicin (DOX). The mesoporous shell consists of large pores, ~10 nm in diameter, and allows the DOX loading as high as 49% in weight. DOX loaded core–shell nanoparticles exhibit a higher efficiency in killing cancer cells than free DOX. More importantly, DOX molecules are loaded in the mesopores shell through coordination bonds that are responsive to pH and heat. The release of DOX from the core‐shell delivery vehicles into cancer cells can be therefore triggered by the pH drop caused by endocytosis and also NIR irradiation. A synergistic effect of combining chemotherapy and photothermal therapy is observed in our core‐shell drug delivery system. The cell‐killing efficacy by DOX‐loaded core–shell particles under NIR irradiation is higher than the sum of chemotherapy by DOX‐loaded particles and photothermal therapy by core–shell particles without DOX.  相似文献

Fabricating theranostic nanoparticles combining multimode disease diagnosis and therapeutic has become an emerging approach for personal nanomedicine. However, the diagnostic capability, biocompatibility, and therapeutic efficiency of theranostic nanoplatforms limit their clinic widespread applications. Targeting to the theme of accurate diagnosis and effective therapy of cancer cells, a multifunctional nanoplatform of aptamer and polyethylene glycol (PEG) conjugated MoS2 nanosheets decorated with Cu1.8S nanoparticles (ATPMC) is developed. The ATPMC nanoplatform accomplishes photoluminescence imaging, photoacoustic imaging, and photothermal imaging for in vitro and in vivo tumor cells imaging diagnosis. Meanwhile, the ATPMC nanoplatform facilitates selective delivery of gene probe to detect intracellular microRNA aberrantly expressed in cancer cells and anticancer drug doxorubicin (DOX) for chemotherapy. Moreover, the synergistic interaction of MoS2 and Cu1.8S renders the ATPMC nanoplatform with superb photothermal conversion efficiency. The ATPMC nanoplatform loaded with DOX displays near‐infrared laser‐induced programmed chemotherapy and advanced photothermal therapy, and the targeted chemo‐photothermal therapy presents excellent antitumor efficiency.  相似文献

Telluride molybdenum (MoTe2) nanosheets with wide near‐infrared (NIR) absorbance are functionalized with polyethylene glycol‐cyclic arginine‐glycine‐aspartic acid tripeptide (PEG‐cRGD). After loading a chemotherapeutic drug (doxorubicin, DOX), MoTe2‐PEG‐cRGD/DOX is used for combined photothermal therapy and chemotherapy. With the high photothermal conversion efficiency, MoTe2‐PEG‐cRGD/DOX exhibits favorable cells killing ability under NIR irradiation. Owing to the cRGD‐mediated specific tumor targeting, MoTe2‐PEG‐cRGD/DOX shows efficient accumulation in tumors to induce a strong tumor ablation effect. MoTe2‐PEG‐cRGD nanosheets, which are relatively stable in the circulation, could be degraded under NIR ray. The in vitro and in vivo experimental results demonstrate that this theranostic nanoagent, which could accumulate in tumors to allow photothermal imaging and combined therapy, is readily degradable in normal organs to enable rapid excretion and avoid long‐term retention/toxicity, holding great potential to treat tumor effectively.  相似文献

A theranostic platform combining synergistic therapy and real‐time imaging attracts enormous attention but still faces great challenges, such as tedious modifications and lack of efficient accumulation in tumor. Here, a novel type of theranostic agent, bismuth sulfide@mesoporous silica (Bi2S3@mPS) core‐shell nanoparticles (NPs), for targeted image‐guided therapy of human epidermal growth factor receptor‐2 (HER‐2) positive breast cancer is developed. To generate such NPs, polyvinylpyrrolidone decorated rod‐like Bi2S3 NPs are chemically encapsulated with a mesoporous silica (mPS) layer and loaded with an anticancer drug, doxorubicin. The resultant NPs are then chemically conjugated with trastuzumab (Tam, a monoclonal antibody targeting HER‐2 overexpressed breast cancer cells) to form Tam‐Bi2S3@mPS NPs. By in vitro and in vivo studies, it is demonstrated that the Tam‐Bi2S3@mPS bear multiple desired features for cancer theranostics, including good biocompatibility and drug loading ability as well as precise and active tumor targeting and accumulation (with a bismuth content in tumor being ≈16 times that of nontargeted group). They can simultaneously serve both as an excellent contrast enhancement probe (due to the presence of strong X‐ray‐attenuating bismuth element) for computed tomography deep tissue tumor imaging and as a therapeutic agent to destruct tumors and prevent metastasis by synergistic photothermal‐chemo therapy.  相似文献

Developing plasmon‐enhanced fluorescence (PEF) technology for identifying important biological molecules has a profound impact on biosensing and bioimaging. However, exploration of PEF for biological application is still at a very early stage. Herein, novel PEF‐based core–shell nanostructures as a near‐infrared fluorescent turn‐on sensor for highly sensitive and selective detection of pyrophosphate (PPi) in aqueous solution are proposed. This nanostructure gold nanorod (AuNR)@SiO2@meso‐tetra(4‐carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (TCPP) contains a gold nanorod core with an aspect ratio of 2.3, a silica shell, and TCPP molecules covalently immobilized onto the shell surface. The silica shell is employed a rigid spacer for precisely tuning the distance between AuNR and TCPP and an optimum fluorescence enhancement is obtained. Due to the quenching effect of Cu2+, the copper porphyrin (TCPP‐Cu2+) results in a weak fluorescence. In the presence of PPi, the strong affinity between Cu2+ and PPi can promote the disassembly of the turn‐off state of TCPP‐Cu2+ complexes, and therefore the fluorescence can be readily restored. By virtue of the amplified fluorescence signal imparted by PEF, this nanosensor obtains a detection limit of 820 × 10?9m of PPi with a good selectivity over several anions, including phosphate. Additionally, the potential applicability of this sensor in cell imaging is successfully demonstrated.  相似文献

The metallic nanostructures with unique properties of tunable plasmon resonance and large field enhancement have been cooperated with semiconductor to construct hetero‐nanostructures for various applications. Herein, a general and facile approach to synthesize uniform dumbbell‐like gold–sulfide core–shell hetero‐nanostructures is reported. The transformation from Au nanorods (NRs) to dumbbell‐like Au NRs and coating of metal sulfide shells (including Bi2S3, CdS, CuxS, and ZnS) are achieved in a one‐pot reaction. Due to the reshaping of Au core and the deposition of sulfide shell, the plasmon resonances of Au NRs are highly enhanced, especially the about 2 times enhancement for the visible transverse plasmon resonance compared with the initial Au NRs. Owing to the highly enhanced visible light absorption and strong local electric field, we find the photocatalytic activity of dumbbell‐like Au–Bi2S3 NRs is largely enhanced compared with pure Bi2S3 and normal Au–Bi2S3 NRs by testing the photodegradation rate of Rhodamine B (RhB). Moreover, the second‐layer sulfide can be coated and the double‐shell Au–Bi2S3–CdS hetero‐nanostructures show further improved photodegradation rate, especially about 2 times than that of Degussa P25 TiO2 (P25) ascribing to the optimum band arrangement and then the prolonged lifetime of photo‐generated carriers.  相似文献

The NIR light‐induced imaging‐guided cancer therapy is a promising route in the targeting cancer therapy field. However, up to now, the existing single‐modality light‐induced imaging effects are not enough to meet the higher diagnosis requirement. Thus, the multifunctional cancer therapy platform with multimode light‐induced imaging effects is highly desirable. In this work, captopril stabilized‐Au nanoclusters Au25(Capt)18?(Au25) are assembled into the mesoporous silica shell coating outside of Nd3+‐sensitized upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) for the first time. The newly formed Au25 shell exhibits considerable photothermal effects, bringing about the photothermal imaging and photoacoustic imaging properties, which couple with the upconversion luminescence imaging. More importantly, the three light‐induced imaging effects can be simultaneously achieved by exciting with a single NIR light (808 nm), which is also the triggering factor for the photothermal and photodynamic cancer therapy. Besides, the nanoparticles can also present the magnetic resonance and computer tomography imaging effects due to the Gd3+ and Yb3+ ions in the UCNPs. Furthermore, due to the photodynamic and the photothermal effects, the nanoparticles possess efficient in vivo tumor growth inhibition under the single irradiation of 808 nm light. The multifunctional cancer therapy platform with multimode imaging effects realizes a true sense of light‐induced imaging‐guided cancer therapy.  相似文献

Multifunctional theranostic agents have become rather attractive to realize image‐guided combination cancer therapy. Herein, a novel method is developed to synthesize Bi2Se3 nanosheets decorated with mono‐dispersed FeSe2 nanoparticles (FeSe2/Bi2Se3) for tetra‐modal image‐guided combined photothermal and radiation tumor therapy. Interestingly, upon addition of Bi(NO3)3, pre‐made FeSe2 nanoparticles via cation exchange would be gradually converted into Bi2Se3 nanosheets, on which remaining FeSe2 nanoparticles are decorated. The yielded FeSe2/Bi2Se3 composite‐nanostructures are then modified with polyethylene glycol (PEG). Taking advantages of the high r 2 relaxivity of FeSe2, the X‐ray attenuation ability of Bi2Se3, the strong near‐infrared optical absorbance of the whole nanostructure, as well as the chelate‐free radiolabeling of 64Cu on FeSe2/Bi2Se3‐PEG, in vivo magnetic resonance/computer tomography/photoacoustic/position emission tomography multimodal imaging is carried out, revealing efficient tumor homing of FeSe2/Bi2Se3‐PEG after intravenous injection. Utilizing the intrinsic physical properties of FeSe2/Bi2Se3‐PEG, in vivo photothermal and radiation therapy to achieve synergistic tumor destruction is then realized, without causing obvious toxicity to the treated animals. This work presents a unique method to synthesize composite‐nanostructures with highly integrated functionalities, promising not only for nano‐biomedicine but also potentially for other different nanotechnology fields.  相似文献

Nanocarriers for chemo‐photothermal therapy suffer from insufficient retention at the tumor site and poor penetration into tumor parenchyma. A smart drug‐dye‐based micelle is designed by making the best of the structural features of small‐molecule drugs. P‐DOX is synthesized by conjugating doxorubicin (DOX) with poly(4‐formylphenyl methacrylate‐co‐2‐(diethylamino) ethyl methacrylate)‐b‐polyoligoethyleneglycol methacrylate (P(FPMA‐co‐DEA)‐b‐POEGMA) via imine linkage. Through the π–π stacking interaction, IR780, a near‐infrared fluorescence dye as well as a photothermal agent, is integrated into the micelles (IR780‐PDMs) with the P‐DOX. The IR780‐PDMs show remarkably long blood circulation (t1/2β = 22.6 h). As a result, a progressive tumor accumulation and retention are presented, which is significant to the sequential drug release. Moreover, when entering into a moderate acidic tumor microenvironment, IR780‐PDMs can dissociate into small‐size conjugates and IR780, which obviously increases the penetration depth of drugs, and then improves the lethality to deep‐seated tumor cells. Owing to the high delivery efficiency and superior chemo‐photothermal therapeutic efficacy of IR780‐PDMs, 97.6% tumor growth in the A549 tumor‐bearing mice is suppressed with a low dose of intravenous injection (DOX, 1.5 mg kg?1; IR780, 0.8 mg kg?1). This work presents a brand‐new strategy for long‐acting intensive cancer therapy.  相似文献

P‐n junctions based on two dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure are one of the most promising alternatives in next‐generation electronics and optoelectronics. By choosing different 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), the p‐n junctions have tailored energy band alignments and exhibit superior performance as photodetectors. The p‐n diodes working at reverse bias commonly have high detectivity due to suppressed dark current but suffer from low responsivity resulting from small quantum efficiency. Greater build‐in electric field in the depletion layer can improve the quantum efficiency by reducing recombination of charge carriers. Herein, Cu9S5, a novel p‐type semiconductor with direct bandgap and high optical absorption coefficient, is synthesized by salt‐assisted chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. The high density of holes in Cu9S5 endows the constructed p‐n junction, Cu9S5/MoS2, with strong build‐in electric field according to Anderson heterojunction model. Consequently, the Cu9S5/MoS2 p‐n heterojunction has low dark current at reverse bias and high photoresponse under illumination due to the efficient charge separation. The Cu9S5/MoS2 photodetector exhibits good photodetectivity of 1.6 × 1012 Jones and photoresponsivity of 76 A W?1 under illumination. This study demonstrates Cu9S5 as a promising p‐type semiconductor for high‐performance p‐n heterojunction diodes.  相似文献

Copper‐based ternary bimetal chalcogenides have very promising potential as multifunctional theragnosis nanoplatform for photothermal treatment of tumors. However, the design and synthesis of such an effective platform remains challenging. In this study, hydrophilic CuCo2S4 nanocrystals (NCs) with a desirable size of ≈10 nm are synthesized by a simple one‐pot hydrothermal route. The as‐prepared ultrasmall CuCo2S4 NCs show: 1) intense near‐infrared absorption, which is attributed to 3d electronic transitions from the valence band to an intermediate band, as identified by density functional theory calculations; 2) high photothermal performance with a photothermal conversion efficiency up to 73.4%; and 3) capability for magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, as a result of the unpaired 3d electrons of cobalt. Finally, it is demonstrated that the CuCo2S4 NCs are a promising “all‐in‐one” photothermal theragnosis nanoplatform for photothermal cancer therapy under the irradiation of a 915 nm laser at a safe power density of 0.5 W cm?2, guided by MR and infrared thermal imaging. This work further promotes the potential applications of ternary bimetal chalcogenides for photothermal theragnosis therapy.  相似文献

Poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4‐styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) nanoparticles, after being coated with polyethylene glycol (PEG), are used as a drug carrier to load various types of aromatic therapeutic molecules, including chemotherapy drugs doxorubicin (DOX) and SN38, as well as a photodynamic agent chlorin e6 (Ce6), through ππ stacking and hydrophobic interaction. Interesting functionalities of PEDOT:PSS‐PEG as an unique versatile drug delivery platform are discovered. Firstly, for water‐insoluble drugs such as SN38, the loading on PEDOT:PSS‐PEG dramatically enhances its water solubility, while maintaining its cytotoxicity to cancer cells. Secondly, the delivery of Ce6 by PEDOT:PSS‐PEG is able to remarkably accelerate the cellular uptake of Ce6 molecules, and thus offers improved photodynamic therapeutic efficacy. Using DOX‐loaded PEDOT:PSS‐PEG as the model system, it is demonstrated that the photothermal effect of PEDOT:PSS‐PEG can be utilized to promote the delivery of this chemotherapeutic agent, achieving a combined photothermal‐ and chemotherapy with an obvious synergistic cancer killing effect. Moreover, it is also shown that multiple types of therapeutic agents could be simultaneously loaded on PEDOT:PSS‐PEG nanoparticles and delivered into cancer cells. This work highlights the great potential of NIR‐absorbing polymeric nanoparticles as multifunctional drug carriers for potential cancer combination therapy with high efficacy.  相似文献

Photodynamic therapy (PDT), which utilizes reactive oxygen species to kill cancer cells, has found wide applications in cancer treatment. However, the hypoxic nature of most solid tumors can severely restrict the efficiency of PDT. Meanwhile, the hydrophobicity and limited tumor selectivity of some photosensitizers also reduce their PDT efficacy. Herein, a photosensitizer‐Pd@Pt nanosystem (Pd@Pt‐PEG‐Ce6) is designed for highly efficient PDT by overcoming these limitations. In the nanofabrication, Pd@Pt nanoplates, exhibiting catalase‐like activity to decompose H2O2 to generate oxygen, are first modified with bifunctional PEG (SH‐PEG‐NH2). Then the Pd@Pt‐PEG is further covalently conjugated with the photosensitizer chlorin e6 (Ce6) to get Pd@Pt‐PEG‐Ce6 nanocomposite. The Pd@Pt‐PEG‐Ce6 exhibits good biocompatibility, long blood circulation half‐life, efficient tumor accumulation, and outstanding imaging properties. Both in vitro and in vivo experimental results clearly indicate that Pd@Pt‐PEG‐Ce6 effectively delivers photosensitizers to cancer cells/tumor sites and triggers the decomposition of endogenous H2O2 to produce oxygen, resulting in a remarkably enhanced PDT efficacy. Moreover, the moderate photothermal effect of Pd@Pt nanoplates also strengthen the PDT of Pd@Pt‐PEG‐Ce6. Therefore, by integrating the merits of high tumor‐specific accumulation, hypoxia modulation function, and mild photothermal effect into a single nanoagent, Pd@Pt‐PEG‐Ce6 readily acts as an ideal nanotherapeutic platform for enhanced cancer PDT.  相似文献

A core–satellite nanotheranostic agent with pH‐dependent photothermal properties, pH‐triggered drug release, and H2O2‐induced catalytic generation of radical medicine is fabricated to give a selective and effective tumor medicine with three modes of action. The nanocomplex (core–satellite mesoporous silica–gold nanocomposite) consists of amino‐group‐functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN‐NH2) linked to L‐cysteine‐derivatized gold nanoparticles (AuNPs‐Cys) with bridging ferrous iron (Fe2+) ions. The AuNPs‐Cys serve as both removable caps that control drug release (doxorubicin) and stimuli‐responsive agents for selective photothermal therapy. Drug release and photothermal therapy are initiated by the cleavage of Fe2+ coordination bonds at low pH and the spontaneous aggregation of the dissociated AuNPs‐Cys. In addition, the Fe2+ is able to catalyze the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide abundant in cancer cells by a Fenton‐like reaction to generate high‐concentration hydroxyl radicals (·OH), which then causes cell damage. This system requires two tumor microenvironment conditions (low pH and considerable amounts of H2O2) to trigger the three therapeutic actions. In vivo data from mouse models show that a tumor can be completely inhibited after two weeks of treatment with the combined chemo‐photothermal method; the data directly demonstrate the efficiency of the MSN–Fe–AuNPs for tumor therapy.  相似文献

Cubic and octahedral Cu2O nanocrystals and Au–Cu2O core–shell heterostructures are used as sacrificial templates for the growth of Cu2S nanocages and Au–Cu2S core–cage structures. A rapid sulfidation process involving a surface reaction of Cu2O nanocrystals with Na2S, followed by etching of the Cu2O cores with HCl solution for ≈5 sec, results in the fabrication of Cu2S cages with a wall thickness of 10–20 nm. Transmission electron microscopy characterization reveals the formation of crystalline walls and the presence of ultrasmall pores with sizes of 1 nm or less. Formation of Cu2O–Cu2S core–shell structures and their conversion into Cu2S cages is verified by UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. X‐ray photoelectron spectra further confirm the composition of the cages as Cu2S. The entire hollowing process via the Kirkendall effect is recorded using in‐situ transmission X‐ray microscopy. After shell formation, continuous ionic diffusion removes the interior Cu2O. Intermediate structures with remaining central Cu2O portions and bridging arms to the surrounding cages are observed. The nanocages are also shown to allow molecular transport: anthracene and pyrene penetration into the cages leads to enhanced fluorescence quenching immediately upon adsorption onto the surfaces of the encapsulated gold nanocrystals.  相似文献

In this study, biocompatible Fe(III) species‐WS2‐polyvinylpyrrolidone (Fe(III) @ WS2‐PVP) nanocapsules with enhanced biodegradability and doxorubicin (DOX) loading capacity are one‐pot synthesized. In this nanocapsule, there exists a redox reaction between Fe(III) species and WS2 to form Fe2+ and WO42?. The formed Fe2+ could be oxidized to Fe3+, which reacts with Fe(III) @ WS2‐PVP again to continuously produce Fe2+ and WO42?. Such a repeated endogenous redox reaction leads to an enhanced biodegradation and DOX release of DOX @ Fe(III) @ WS2‐PVP. More strikingly, the Fe2+ generation and DOX release are further accelerated by the overexpressed H2O2 and the mild acidic tumor microenvironment (TME), since H2O2 and H+ can accelerate the oxidation of Fe2+. The continuously generated Fe2+ catalyzes a fast Fenton reaction with the innate H2O2 in tumor cells and produces abundant highly toxic hydroxyl radicals for nanocatalytic tumor therapy. Together with the high photothermal transforming capability, the DOX @ Fe(III) @WS2‐PVP nanocapsules successfully achieve the endogenous redox reaction and exogenous TME‐augmented tumor photothermal therapy, chemo and nanocatalytic therapy outcome. The concept of material design can be innovatively extended to the synthesis of biodegradable Fe(III) @ MoS2‐PVP nanocomposite, thus paving a promising novel way for the rational design of intelligent theranostic agents for highly efficient treatment of cancer.  相似文献

The insufficient blood flow and oxygen supply in solid tumor cause hypoxia, which leads to low sensitivity of tumorous cells and thus causing poor treatment outcome. Here, mesoporous manganese dioxide (mMnO2) with ultrasensitive biodegradability in a tumor microenvironment (TME) is grown on upconversion photodynamic nanoparticles for not only TME‐enhanced bioimaging and drug release, but also for relieving tumor hypoxia, thereby markedly improving photodynamic therapy (PDT). In this nanoplatform, mesoporous silica coated upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs@mSiO2) with covalently loaded chlorin e6 are obtained as near‐infrared light mediated PDT agents, and then a mMnO2 shell is grown via a facile ultrasonic way. Because of its unique mesoporous structure, the obtained nanoplatform postmodified with polyethylene glycol can load the chemotherapeutic drug of doxorubicin (DOX). When used for antitumor application, the mMnO2 degrades rapidly within the TME, releasing Mn2+ ions, which couple with trimodal (upconversion luminescence, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging) imaging of UCNPs to perform a self‐enhanced imaging. Significantly, the degradation of mMnO2 shell brings an efficient DOX release, and relieve tumor hypoxia by simultaneously inducing decomposition of tumor endogenous H2O2 and reduction of glutathione, thus achieving a highly potent chemo‐photodynamic therapy.  相似文献

Near infrared light, especially the second near‐infrared light (NIR II) biowindows with deep penetration and high sensitivity are widely used for optical diagnosis and phototherapy. Here, a novel kind of 2D SnTe@MnO2‐SP nanosheet (NS)‐based nanoplatform is developed for cancer theranostics with NIR II‐mediated precise optical imaging and effective photothermal ablation of mouse xenografted tumors. The 2D SnTe@MnO2‐SP NSs are fabricated via a facile method combining ball‐milling and liquid exfoliation for synthesis of SnTe NSs, and surface coating MnO2 shell and soybean phospholipid (SP). The ultrathin SnTe@MnO2‐SP NSs reveal notably high photothermal conversion efficiency (38.2% in NIR I and 43.9% in NIR II). The SnTe@MnO2‐SP NSs inherently feature tumor microenvironment (TME)‐responsive biodegradability, and the main metabolite TeO32? shows great antitumor effect, coupling synergetic chemotherapy for cancer. Moreover, the SnTe@MnO2‐SP NSs also exhibit great potential for fluorescence, photoacoustic (PA), and photothermal imaging agents in the NIR II biowindow with much higher resolution and sensitivity. This is the first report, as far as is known, with such an inorganic nanoagent setting fluorescence/PA/photothermal imaging and photothermal therapy in NIR II biowindow and TME‐responsive biodegradability rolled into one, which provide insight into the clinical potential for cancer theranostics.  相似文献

To integrate treatments of photothermal therapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT), and chemotherapy, this study reports on a multifunctional nanocomposite based on mesoporous silica‐coated gold nanorod for high‐performance oncotherapy. Gold nanorod core is used as the hyperthermal agent and mesoporous silica shell is used as the reservoir of photosensitizer (Al(III) phthalocyanine chloride tetrasulfonic acid, AlPcS4). The mesoporous silica shell is modified with β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) gatekeeper via redox‐cleavable Pt(IV) complex for controlled drug release. Furthermore, tumor targeting ligand (lactobionic acid, LA) and long‐circulating poly(ethylene glycol) chain are introduced via host–guest interaction. It is found that the nanocomposite can specifically target to hepatoma cells by virtue of the LA targeting moiety. Due to the abundant existence of reducing agents within tumor cells, β‐CD can be removed by reducing the Pt(IV) complex to active cisplatin drug for chemotherapy, along with the releasing of entrapped AlPcS4 for effective PDT. As confirmed by in vitro and in vivo studies, the nanocomposite exhibits an obvious near‐infrared induced thermal effect, which significantly improves the PDT and chemotherapy efficiency, resulting in a superadditive therapeutic effect. This collaborative strategy paves the way toward high‐performance nanotherapeutics with a superior antitumor efficacy and much reduced side effects.  相似文献

Although near‐infrared (NIR) light‐absorbing organic dyes have recently been proposed for photothermal ablation of tumors, their clinical applications have often been hampered by problems such as low water solubility and minimal tissue absorption. Rapid development of nanotechnology provides various novel nanostructures to address these issues. In this work, doxorubicin (DOX)‐loaded stealth liposomes are engineered through the incorporation of an NIR‐absorptive heptamethine indocyanine dye IR825 into the thermoresponsive liposomes for photothermal/chemo combined cancer therapy. It is demonstrated that the lipid nanostructure can enhance the bioavailability of water‐insoluble IR825 for efficient photothermal treatment, while delivering the anticancer drug doxorubicin to achieve simultaneous anticancer medication. The combined treatment of photothermal ablation and chemotherapy synergistically improves the overall cancer cell killing efficiency, which can be of future clinical interest.  相似文献
