Leather hide, as a natural material, may have many types of undesirable surface defects. No analytical method has been devised
for classifying and grading wet blue hide surface defects. A high return rate and disputes between the customer and manufacturing
company usually cause additional costs. This paper proposes a semi-automatic machine vision method to measure the unusable
surface defect areas in wet blue hides and a clear reference standard for the demerit count for graders to classify and grade
wet blue hides. A statistical comparative evaluation of the grade deviation rate and a practical demerit count method for
tannery performance are given to show the usefulness of the proposed approach. a clear evaluation standard for leather surface

The proposed work reports the performance of parabolic annular fins of constant weight made of functionally graded materials. The work involves computation of temperature gradient, efficiency and effectiveness of such fins and compares the performances for different functionally graded parabolic fin profiles obtained by varying grading parameters and profile parameters respectively keeping the weight of the fins constant. The functional grading of thermal conductivity is based on a power function of radial co-ordinate which consists of parameters, namely grading parameters, varying which different grading combinations are studied. A general second order ordinary differential equation has been derived for all the profiles and material grading. The efficiency and effectiveness of the annular fins of different profile and grading combinations have been calculated and plotted and the results reveal the dependence of fin performance on profile and grading parameter. 相似文献

Two tests for evaluating an engine lubricant's tendency to form deposits at high temperature have been developed by a working group of the GFC, 1 Groupement Français de Coordination (French Coordination Group). set up to establish laboratory pre-selection tests. The first is a new static microcoking test where the oil is deposited on an aluminium alloy plate and submitted to thermal conditions similar to those found in the piston ring zone of an IC engine. The results are analysed to determine the temperature at the oil's thermal stability limit and to evaluate the quantity and nature of the deposits in the form of varnish, according to a grading system based on the CEC M-02-A-78 method of gauging engine cleanliness. The second is an improved panel coking test in which a thin film of oil of a given volume is fed on to a stainless steel panel, at high temperature, and the deposits formed at the end of the test are evaluated, again using the CEC rating method, in terms of quantity and type (carbon or varnish). In addition, a video system has been designed to grade the micro-coking panels through colour recognition. This not only allows visual grading to be faithfully reproduced but also eliminates the subjective element of colour grading. The results obtained with the ‘Video-Rater’ constitute a first step towards computer-assisted grading of engine parts. 相似文献

In this paper, three-dimensional analysis of thermal stresses in four-parameter continuous grading fiber reinforced cylindrical panel subjected to thermal load is studied. The cylindrical panel is assumed to be made of an orthotropic material. The continuous grading fiber reinforced panel has a smooth variation in matrix volume fraction in the radial direction. A generalization of the power-law distribution presented in literature is proposed. Symmetric and asymmetric volume fraction profiles are presented in this paper. Suitable temperature and displacement functions that identically satisfy the boundary conditions at the simply supported edges are used to reduce the thermoelastic equilibrium equations to a set of coupled ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients, which can be solved by generalized differential quadrature method. The fast rate of convergence of the method is demonstrated and to validate the results, comparisons are made with the available solutions for orthotropic shells. The main contribution of this work is to illustrate the influence of the power-law exponent, of the power-law distribution choice and of the choice of the four parameters on the thermal behaviour of continuous grading fiber reinforced cylindrical panels. 相似文献

Confocal scanning laser microscopy provides the opportunity to obtain three-dimensional (3-D) images by piling up consecutive confocal planes. This technique was applied to capture 3-D images from 100-μm-thick tissue blocks from prostate lesions (hyperplasia, dysplasia, adenocarcinomas). Automated methods were implemented to perform a nuclear grading of 3-D cell nuclei from these specimens. Special attention was focused on the development of a new approach to 3-D chromatin texture analysis. This method uses mathematical morphology operations to tessellate the chromatin into homogeneous domains. The nuclear features (volume, shape, texture) were subjected to a discriminant analysis. Using a set of five features, the classification of cell nuclei yielded an accuracy of 963%. The results indicate the potential of 3-D imaging and analysis techniques for an automated nuclear grading of prostate lesions. 相似文献

为了实现禽蛋检测与分级的自动化,建立一种轻型自动化系统,即禽蛋检测与分级智能机器人系统(System of intelligentrobot detecting and grading eggs,SmDGE).SIRDGE将禽蛋的破损检测、内部品质检测以及检测和分级时的搬运工作联系起来,统一由一个关节型机器人来完成,能实现禽蛋检测和分级的全程自动化.介绍该系统的组成结构和工作原理,对系统关键的硬件设备和软件实现过程作了必要的说明,包括场景图像的采集和摄像机的标定,图像处理和特征值的提取,机器人运动控制和轨迹规划,真空吸盘的单片机控制,敲击声音的处理与破损检测,彩色图像处理与内部品质检测等内容,并对SIRDGE系统进行性能测试,测试结果证明,SIRDGE能够实现禽蛋检测和分级的全程自动化. 相似文献
