文章首先分析了中国、国外宽带接入的发展现状,然后分析各种宽带业务对网络带宽的要求,并结合公众客户、政企客户的带宽需求,对目前主要的固网宽带接入技术进行了分析与比较,指出带宽需求与网络能力的辩证关系;提出网络能力应适度超前用户的带宽需求;最后总结了推动宽带发展的思路。  相似文献

In recent years, the development of multimedia devices has meant that a wider multimedia streaming service can be supported, and there are now many ways in which TV channels can communicate with different terminals. Generally, scalable video streaming is known to provide more efficient channel capacity than simulcast video streaming. Simulcast video streaming requires a large network bandwidth for all resolutions, but scalable video streaming needs only one flow for all resolutions. In previous research, scalable video streaming has been compared with simulcast video streaming for network channel capacity, in two user simulation environments. The simulation results show that the channel capacity of SVC is 16% to 20% smaller than AVC, but scalable video streaming is not efficient because of the limit of the present network framework. In this paper, we propose a new network framework with an SVC extractor. The proposed network framework shows a channel capacity 50% (maximum) lower than that found in previous research studies.  相似文献

Given a quality-of-service constraint, a wireless network has to sacrifice its capacity in order to support an increase in mobility. In other words, the network needs to convert some of its capacity into mobility. We develop an analytical model to evaluate the efficiency of the mobility/capacity conversion processes of several wireless networks. One practical implication of our results is that a network, if designed correctly, should have a free convertibility between the two.  相似文献

Diverging optical network requirements are driving innovations in optical components in multiple directions. The telecommunications network core needs new components to increase capacity while reducing cost: optics that enable faster line rates, more wavelengths per fiber, and longer spacing between repeaters. Metro networks need components to handle complex traffic patterns. A desire for network reconfigurability in both long-haul and metro segments drives demand for switches, but also for other associated components to condition signals after switching. 随着不限量套餐的推广,移动用户的业务结构发生了巨大变化,音乐、短视频等业务的流量冲击给运营商网络带来的压力亟待缓解。针对这一问题,提出了一种容量管理方案,运用业务预测方法,充分考虑实施提前量,预估网络业务量发展趋势;进一步根据预估业务量及网络配置情况划分业务场景,通过聚类分析,实施差异化的疏忙手段。工程实践表明,该方案能够有效缓解现网容量问题,大大提高了容量建设的精准性,并且具有良好的时效性。  相似文献

We consider extensions of the most common mesh-restorable network capacity design formulation that enhance the dual-failure restorability of the designs. A significant finding is that while design for complete dual-failure restorability can require up to triple the spare capacity, dual failure restorability can be provided for a fairly large set of priority paths with little or no more spare capacity than required for single-failure restorability. As a reference case we first study the capacity needs under complete dual-failure restorability. This shows extremely high spare capacity penalties. A second design model allows a user to specify a total capacity (or budget) limit and obtain the highest average dual-failure restorability possible for that investment limit. This formulation, and a relationship between dual-failure restorability and availability, can be used to trace-out the capacity-versus-availability trade-off curve for a mesh network. A third design strategy supports multiple-restorability service class definitions ranging from best-efforts-only to an assurance of complete single and dual-failure restorability on a per-demand basis. This lets a network operator tailor the investment in protection capacity to provide ultra-high availability on a service-selective basis, while avoiding the very high investment that would be required to support complete dual-failure restorability of the network as a whole.  相似文献
