用溶胶-凝胶法在普通玻璃基片上成功制备了CeO2防紫外薄膜。采用交叉镀膜的方法,将TiO2膜层作为缓冲层,成功制备了不同膜层配比的防紫外膜。实验表明,不同膜层配比,紫外线透过率及可见光透过率均不同,在一定范围内,随着CeO2溶胶浓度增大,紫外吸收能力增大,溶胶的陈化时间对薄膜紫外屏蔽性能影响不大。  相似文献

All-optical logic gates based on photoinduced anisotropy of bacteriorhodopsin (BR) film are proposed. The photoinduced anisotropy in BR film, which arises from the selective absorption of BR molecules to polarized light, can be controlled by changing the amplitudes and polarizations of exiting beams. As a consequence, the polarization of the probe light passing through the BR film can be controlled by the polarization of the exiting beam. Based on this property, a novel scheme of all-optical logic gates, such as AND, OR, XOR and NOT, has been implemented via the pump-probe technique. A theoretical model for the all-optical logic gates is proposed, and the theoretical predictions are demonstrated with the experimental results.  相似文献

A novel spectrometer that is based on the use of the thermal lens effect for sensitive measurements of absorption in the near-IR region has been developed. In this instrument the near-IR excitation light (from 1515 to 1590 nm) was provided by an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA). An acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) was used to spectrally disperse the light from the EDFA. The AOTF was used in a new configuration in which, instead of the diffracted light, the transmitted light was used. The heat generated as a consequence of the absorption of the near-IR excitation beam by the sample was monitored by a He-Ne laser. The sensitivity of this spectrometer was found to be at least two to three times higher than that of conventional transmission measurements. Its application in the sensitive determination of nucleotides (adenosine, cytidine, guanosine, and thymidine) is described.  相似文献

Light profile microscopy (LPM) is a recently developed technique of optical inspection that is used to record micrometer-scale images of thin-film cross-sections on a direct basis. In single beam mode, LPM provides image contrast based on luminescence, elastic, and/or inelastic scatter. However, LPM may also be used to depth profile the optical absorption coefficient of a thin film based on a method of dual beam irradiation presented in this work. The method uses a pair of collimated laser beams to consecutively irradiate a film from two opposing directions along the depth axis. An average profile of the beam's light intensity variation through the material is recovered for each direction and used to compute a depth-dependent differential absorbance profile. This latter quantity is shown from theory to be related to the film's depth-dependent optical absorption coefficient through a simple linear model that may be inverted by standard methods of numerical linear algebra. The inverse problem is relatively well posed, showing good immunity to data errors. This profilometry method is experimentally applied to a set of well-characterized materials with known absorption properties over a scale of tens of micrometers, and the reconstructed absorption profiles were found to be highly consistent with the reference data.  相似文献

Low-power all-optical switching with pharaonis phoborhodopsin (ppR) protein is demonstrated based on nonlinear excited-state absorption at different wavelengths. A modulating pulsed 532-nm laser beam is shown to switch the transmission of a continuous-wave signal light beam at: 1) 390 nm; 2) 500 nm; 3) 560 nm; and 4) 600 nm, respectively. Simulations based on the rate equation approach considering all seven states in the ppR photocycle are in good agreement with experimental results. It is shown that the switching characteristics at 560 and 600 nm, respectively, can exhibit negative to positive switching. The switching characteristics at 500 nm can be inverted by increasing the signal beam intensity. The profile of switched signal beam is also sensitive to the modulating pulse frequency and signal beam intensity and wavelength. The switching characteristics are also shown to be sensitive to the lifetimes of$mmb pbf pR_bf M$and$mmb pbf pR_bf O$intermediates. The results show the applicability of ppR as a low-power wavelength tunable all-optical switch.  相似文献

Photo-induced behavior of polymethacrylate polymer, with cyano azobenzene side group, was studied. The photoisomerization process occurs in cyano azo polymer, by illumination of a film with polarized and unpolarized light. The illumination of the polymer film with light results in color change, the color of film gets darker. This is in opposition to common azo polymers in which the result of illumination is a photo-bleaching. Study of spectrum changes of a dilute polymer solution shows that the color change under pump beam illumination is not due to interaction between dye molecules. Time evaluation of probe beam absorption induced by Ar+ laser pump beam shows the fast change in population of isomers at higher light powers. Light induced birefringence (LIB) experiments with high power pump beams shows uncommon new features. A high long-term stability of LIB is demonstrated when the polymer film is kept in the dark. Not only a circular polarized light cannot erase the birefringence but it also induces anisotropy in polymer film. It appears that this is relevant of a phase transition in the polymer film.  相似文献

We propose a new novelty optical filter that uses a bacteriorhodopsin film. This filter is based on the time-dependent nonlinear diffraction efficiency of real-time holograms recorded in the film. As soon as the signal beam carrying a pattern is diffracted by the polarization hologram recorded in the bacteriorhodopsin film, it begins to erase the hologram and suppresses the diffraction of the beam at the position of the stationary part of the pattern. This filter enhances only leading edges of moving patterns. In this system undesired scattered light, which is orthogonally polarized to the diffracted beam, is discriminated by a polarizer.  相似文献

为了提高海藻酸钠与明胶各自的性能,首先,以海藻酸钠和明胶为原料,以京尼平、CaCl2为交联剂,采用分步交联法制备了明胶/海藻酸钠互穿网络膜。然后,利用FTIR对明胶/海藻酸钠互穿网络结构进行了表征与分析,根据FTIR结果推测了互穿网络结构形成的机制。最后,探讨了京尼平的加入量和明胶与京尼平的质量比对互穿网络膜力学性能和交联度的影响,及海藻酸钠与明胶的质量比对互穿网络膜力学性能、断面形貌、热稳定性和吸水保水性能的影响。结果表明:当明胶与京尼平的质量比为200∶1、海藻酸钠与明胶的质量比为2∶1时,互穿网络膜具有最佳的力学性能、吸水保水性能和相容性;此外,互穿网络膜的力学性能也优于纯海藻酸钠膜与纯明胶膜的。明胶的加入提高了互穿网络膜在低温区的热稳定性,但降低了高温区的热稳定性。海藻酸钠与明胶之间可能以分子间作用力、氢键及离子键等相互作用,提高了二者各自的初始分解温度与最大热分解温度。研究解决了海藻酸钠与明胶力学性能差的问题,为拓展海藻酸钠在医用领域的应用提供参考。  相似文献

Abstract

Holographic beam splitters can split an incoming beam into several partial beams travelling at different angles with arbitrary intensities, thus offering high design flexibility. In this paper the fabrication of beam splitters as multiplex holograms in dichromated gelatin is reported. Shrinking or swelling of the gelatin was avoided by careful process control, reciprocity law failure (as expected from silver halide holograms) was not observed, and, for example, a 1 : 2 beam splitter diffracting 47·4% and 47·0% of the incoming light into two higher orders was realized.  相似文献

The dynamic range of fiber-optic fluorescent probes such as single fibers and fiber bundles is calculated for strongly absorbing samples, such as process liquids, foodstuffs, and lubricants. The model assumes an excitation beam profile based on a Lambertian light source and uses analytical forms of the collection efficiency, followed by an Abel transformation and numerical integration. It is found that the effect of primary absorption of the excitation light and secondary absorption of the fluorescence is profound. For fiber bundles and bifurcated fiber probes, the upper accessible concentration limit is roughly given by the absorption length of the primary and secondary absorption. Fluorescence detectors that are placed at right angles to the excitation beam axis or collinear to the beam axis are equally strongly affected by secondary absorption. A probe in which the same fiber is used for excitation and for collection of the fluorescence emerges as the fiber probe with the largest accessible concentration range.  相似文献

We report experimental results on enhanced backscattering from a plane mirror that is viewed through polymer-film-dispersed nematic liquid crystals. The distribution of the averaged intensity of the light reflected from the mirror placed behind the polymer film is investigated with an image-processing system when a Gaussian beam wave is incident. The enhanced light peak is observed in an incident beam direction, the result of which is predicted by a theory based on the circular Gaussian statistic random-phase-screen model. We pay attention to the enhancement dependence on parameters such as the distance between the polymer film and the flat mirror. The observed result is similar to a previous study by Jakeman et al. in which a random diffusive glass plate was used as a random-phase screen [J. Phys. D 21, 32 (1988)].  相似文献

Anew method for the preparation of stratified light-sensitive film is developed, and the stratified gratings (SG's) are recorded in the film. The sensitive layers on both sides of a dichromated cellulose triacetate film are produced simultaneously through chemical reaction and not with the conventional coating technique. Compared with SG's in other materials made with coating techniques, double-layer SG's in the film have, to my knowledge, the highest experimental diffraction efficiency (~54%) in addition to their having a simple recording optical system. The diffraction efficiency and the periodic Bragg selectivity of the SH in the film is given. Based on the SG's of the film, several beam splitters with 2, 3, 4, or 7 fan-outs and higher than 80% total diffraction efficiencies are realized experimentally. The advantages of this method as compared with others, such as the method based on volume holographic beam splitters, are explained.  相似文献

A position sensitive detector (PSD) has been used to determine the diameter of cylindrical pins based on the shift in a laser beam's centroid. The centroid of the light beam is defined here as the weighted average of position by the local intensity. A shift can be observed in the centroid of an otherwise axially symmetric light beam, which is partially obstructed. Additionally, the maximum shift in the centroid is a unique function of the obstructing cylinder diameter. Thus to determine the cylinder diameter, one only needs to detect this maximum shift as the cylinder is swept across the beam.  相似文献

Thin films of zinc sulphide, in single-crystal and in polycrystalline form, were grown by vacuum deposition methods onto silicon and gallium arsenide substrates. The thin film optical constants are determined from a computer solution of the optical waveguide dispersion relationship for measured effective indices and loss of guided modes excited by prism coupling of laser light at discrete wavelenghts between 465.8 and 632.8 nm. Sputtered films exhibit much higher levels of absorption than films prepared in ultrahigh vacuum from a molecular beam source, yet both preparation techniques give consistent values of the refractive index close to those measured for bulk material. High absorption also occurs in films prepared from heavily doped sources. The lowest absorption coefficient obtained was 1.4 cm-1 at 632.8 nm in an ultrahigh-vacuum-deposited film. At the same wavelenght, bulk absorption is 0.7 cm-1 and sputtered film absorption is 10.6 cm-1.  相似文献

目的 制备花青素明胶/聚乙烯醇淀粉双层复合膜,以期提高花青素单层膜的综合性能.方法 采用流延法分别制备紫薯、紫甘蓝、黑米、黑枸杞、玫瑰、玫瑰茄等6种花青素明胶/聚乙烯醇淀粉双层复合膜,并对比研究膜层的微观组织结构、含水率、力学性能及光学性能.结果 从红外光谱图中可以看出,双层复合膜分子结构没有出现新的特征峰,双层膜结合方式为物理结合,没有新的结构生成,且除紫甘蓝明胶/聚乙烯醇淀粉双层复合膜外,其余复合膜均存在明显的分层界线,2层结合处膜层结构均匀致密,结合良好.不同双层膜的含水率差异显著,而双层复合膜比花青素单层膜的含水率明显降低,不同双层膜的拉伸强度和断裂伸长率差异不显著,与单层花青素明胶复合膜相比,双层复合膜的拉伸强度和断裂伸长率大幅增加,其中紫薯双层膜的拉伸强度增加了75%,断裂伸长率增加了22.9%;所有双层复合膜的透光率相差不大,均在80%以上;与花青素明胶单层膜相比,双层膜的雾度增加了20%左右.结论 制备的双层膜改善了单层膜的力学性能,提高了花青素明胶单层膜的综合性能.  相似文献

Optical interference is used to enhance light–matter interaction and harvest broadband light in ultrathin semiconductor absorber films on specular back‐reflectors. However, the high‐temperature processing in oxygen atmosphere required for oxide absorbers often degrades metallic back‐reflectors and their specular reflectance. In order to overcome this problem, a newly developed film flip and transfer process is presented that enables high‐temperature processing without degradation of the metallic back‐reflector and without the need of passivation interlayers. The film flip and transfer process improves the performance of photoanodes for photoelectrochemical water splitting comprising ultrathin (<20 nm) hematite (α‐Fe2O3) films on silver–gold alloy (90 at% Ag–10 at% Au) back‐reflectors. Specular back‐reflectors are obtained with high reflectance below hematite films, which is necessary for maximizing the productive light absorption in the hematite film and minimizing nonproductive absorption in the back‐reflector. Furthermore, the film flip and transfer process opens up a new route to attach thin film stacks onto a wide range of substrates including flexible or temperature sensitive materials.  相似文献

The thickness of a transparent layer of oil upon the surface of water is measured as the distance between the surface of oil film and the interface of the oil with the water. Two experimental results have demonstrated that the interface can reflect a white-light beam well enough to form an interferogram, even if the light is subjected to oil-film dispersion. When a beam of white light is incident vertically onto the oil-film surface, a scanning white-light interferometer in the Michelson configuration is employed to locate two serial reflections, surface reflection and interface reflection. The thickness of the transparent oil film on water is calculated based on the separation of these two interferograms. A limitation thickness, approximately 250 microm with 1.25 microm resolution, is achieved under the condition that there is 50 nW of optical power incident onto the oil-film surface with a wavelength centered at 1310 nm.  相似文献

Low-absorption optics made of OH-reduced fused silica are a key technology for future gravitational wave detectors such as the Advanced LIGO. We developed a sensitive method to measure the absorption inside the beam splitter of the GEO 600, taking advantage of the effect of thermal lensing. Using this method, we derived a bulk absorption of less than 0.25 ppm/cm for a piece of Suprasil 311 SV at a wavelength of 1064 nm. To the best of our knowledge, this is the lowest value of light absorption inside fused silica reported so far in the literature.  相似文献

Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is ill-suited to microanalysis because of its low absorptivity. We have developed a highly sensitive detection method for NIR spectroscopy based on absorption-sensitive surface plasmon resonance (SPR). The newly named SPR-NIR spectroscopy, which may open the way for NIR spectroscopy in microanalysis and surface science, is realized by an attachment of the Kretschmann configuration equipped with a mechanism for fine angular adjustment of incident light. The angular sweep of incident light enables us to make a tuning of a SPR peak for an absorption band of sample medium. From the dependences of wavelength, incident angle, and thickness of a gold film on the intensity of the SPR peak, it has been found that the absorbance can be enhanced by approximately 100 times compared with the absorbance obtained without the gold film under optimum conditions. This article reports the details of the experimental setup and the characteristics of absorption-sensitive SPR in the NIR region, together with some experimental results obtained by using it.  相似文献
