A circuit concept is developed which allows impedance transformations to be performed over extremely broad bandwidths. The transformation is obtained by coupling one or more input or output lines of a distributed amplifier into several output or input lines, respectively. The circuit technique is demonstrated by results for an amplifier for a 1:2 impedance transformation over a 2-20-GHz bandwidth. The amplifier yields a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of better than 1.7:1 into 25 Ω at the input and better than 1.5:1 into 50 Ω at the output while maintaining a gain of 9±1 dB. An application of the technique to the broadband impedance-matching problem of a laser diode driver is discussed. 设计了一个毫米波频段的宽带功率均衡器与固态功率驱动模块。通过对用于驱动模块的功率均衡器进行改进,提出了一种新型的微带阶梯阻抗谐振线的功率均衡器结构,这种结构频带宽,驻波好,结构紧凑。为了验证其性能,加工实物并进行测试,测试结果表明,均衡器在32 GHz~40 GHz宽带频段,其最小插入损耗小于3.3 dB,回波损耗优于13 dB,均衡量9 dB。固态功率驱动模块采用2级放大器,且均衡器后置,布局合理。测试结果表明,在32 GHz~40 GHz,功率均衡精确度优于2 dB,输出功率更为准确,实现了固态驱动模块的小型化设计。  相似文献

功率均衡器是改善微波系统幅度响应平坦度的一种有效的解决办法。文中研究了电阻加载谐振网络及其在宽带功率均衡器中的应用。利用ADS仿真软件对电阻加载宽带功率均衡器进行联合电磁仿真设计与优化,实现了X波段宽带低差损功率均衡器。均衡器在整个频带内均衡5 dB,输入输出驻波比均小于1.5∶1,最终测试结果与初始设计相吻合,满足了工程需要。结果表明,电阻加载均衡器适用于宽带功率均衡器的研制。  相似文献

A miniaturized broadband balanced MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) frequency double, composed of a common-gate FET and a common-source FET directly connected to each drain electrode, has been proposed and demonstrated. The doubler is designed and fabricated as a miniaturized function module using a conventional two-gate FET configuration, active trapping, and active impedance matching. The doubler design has been performed through phase error estimation, gate width optimization, and gate-source voltage optimization. The phase error estimation in a nonlinear condition has eliminated phase error compensation circuits. The fabricated chip size is only 0.5 mm×0.5 mm, which is about 1/10 the area of previously reported doublers. A conversion loss of 8-10 dB, a fundamental frequency suppression better than 17 dB, and an input return loss better than 8 dB are obtained in the output frequency range from 6 to 16 GHz. The broadband doubler as a miniaturized MMIC function module can be applicable to small-size oscillator MMICs and multifunction MMICs  相似文献

针对高功率天线的差分馈电和阻抗匹配问题,文中提出了一种基于同轴线结构加载铁氧体磁环的宽 带巴伦模型。双同轴线具有阻抗变换功能和较好的功率承载能力,铁氧体磁环改善了巴伦在低频时的输入匹配和 两个输出端口不平衡度。仿真和实测表明,此巴伦在0. 05~1. 24 GHz 内回波损耗低于-10 dB,去除3. 0 dB 系统插损 后单端插入损耗在1. 5 dB 以内,两端输出的相位不平衡度在5°以内,幅度不平衡度在2%以内。通过分析巴伦的电 磁热损耗场、温度场和应力形变场,验证了巴伦在高功率馈电下的工作性能,结果表明此巴伦在工作频带内能够承 受500 W 的功率。  相似文献

基于GaN HEMT工艺研制了一款8~12.5 GHz宽带6 bit数字移相器.通过采用优化的宽带拓扑和集总元件,以及在片上集成GaN并行驱动器,提高了移相精度,缩小了芯片的尺寸,减少了控制端数量.测试结果表明,在8~12.5 GHz频带内,全部64个移相状态下,插入损耗小于11 dB,输入回波损耗小于-14 dB,输出回波损耗小于-16 dB,移相均方根误差小于1.8°,幅度变化均方根误差小于0.5 dB.在8 GHz频率下,1 dB压缩点输入功率高达33 dBm.芯片尺寸为5.05 mm×2.00 mm×0.08 mm.  相似文献

An ultra broadband printed (UBP) antenna is presented which consists of a diplexer and two aperture stacked patch antennas. S-parameter theory is used to investigate the input impedance behavior of the UBP antenna. This antenna can produce a 10-dB return loss bandwidth of almost 120% with constant gain of 6.5 dB. A relatively uniform radiation pattern over the entire band was also achieved.  相似文献

The realization of matched impedance wide-band amplifiers fabricated by InGaP-GaAs heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) process is reported. The technique of multiple feedback loops was used to achieve terminal impedance matching and wide bandwidth simultaneously. The experimental results showed that a small signal gain of 16 dB and a 3-dB bandwidth of 11.6 GHz with in-band input/output return loss less than -10 dB were obtained. These values agreed well with those predicted from the analytic expressions that we derived for voltage gain, transimpedance gain, bandwidth, and input and output impedances. A general method for the determination of frequency responses of input/output return losses (or S11, S22) from the poles of voltage gain was proposed. The intrinsic overdamped characteristic of this amplifier was proved and emitter capacitive peaking was used to remedy this problem. The tradeoff between the input impedance matching and bandwidth was also found  相似文献

提出了一种新颖的V形微带缝隙天线,地板上开一个直角V形缝隙,在V形缝隙的顶角处附加一个小直角三角形补偿隙,通过改变三角形补偿隙面积的大小可以对天线阻抗匹配进行优化,由基片另一侧的箭形微带线终端对缝隙单元馈电。这种天线易于实现宽带特性,设计简单,便于加工。文中给出了天线阻抗和方向图的计算结果,并给出了反射损耗和增益的实验结果。实测结果表明,该天线的阻抗带宽达到了43%,覆盖了1146~1776MHz的频率范围,-10dB阻抗带宽内增益值在4.5~6.5dB之间,平均增益约为5.5dB。  相似文献

By incorporating a lumped-element impedance- matching network on the laser diode carrier/submount, the signal injection efficiency of electro-absorption modulator integrated lasers is significantly improved through the reduction of input return loss. Over a frequency range spanning from 5.8 to 10 GHz, an improvement of approximately 12% to 37% in signal injection efficiency is observed. To avoid increasing the component-count, a unique implementation of the lumped element impedance matching network is proposed.  相似文献

A 3-6 GHz CMOS broadband low noise amplifier (LNA) for ultra-wideband (UWB) radio is presented. The LNA is fabricated with the 0.18 /spl mu/m 1P6M standard CMOS process. Measurement of the CMOS LNA is performed using an FR-4 PCB test fixture. From 3 to 6 GHz, the broadband LNA exhibits a noise figure of 4.7-6.7 dB, a gain of 13-16 dB, and an input/output return loss higher than 12/10 dB, respectively. The input P/sub 1 dB/ and input IP3 (IIP3) at 4.5 GHz are about -14 and -5 dBm, respectively. The DC supply is 1.8 V.  相似文献

基于微带天线结构,设计了一款适用于整个UHF RFID系统的新型宽带标签天线。在H型贴片上开H槽,形成了两个相近的谐振点,调整H槽的位置和大小,使两个谐振点靠近耦合,从而拓展了天线带宽。通过改变贴片底部矩形槽深度和微带线长度调整天线的输入阻抗。使用软件HFSS14.0进行仿真分析。结果表明,该天线具有很好的宽频特性(766~989 MHz,回波损耗S11<10 dB),在超高频段(840~960 MHz)内具有良好的阻抗匹配特性。  相似文献

0.1-μm-gate-length GaAs MESFET distributed baseband integrated circuits (ICs) that utilize an artificial-line-division technique and three-dimensional transmission lines are described. The technique reduces return loss of the distributed circuits at high frequencies, and four-layer transmission-line structure reduces parasitic impedance caused by the IC pattern shape and is suitable for the flip-chip bonding module format. A gate-line-division distributed baseband amplifier IC achieved input return loss of less than -13 dB and gain of 11.7 dB in the 0-56 GHz band. A source-line-division distributed level-shift IC achieved output return loss of less than -9.6 dB at high frequencies and insertion loss of 2.7 dB in the 0-79 GHz band. A critical need in the evaluation of an ultrawideband (UWB) radio system is the calculation of the energy link loss between the source at the transmit antenna and the receiver load. While the rigorous calculation of link loss in a wideband pulsed system requires a full transient electromagnetic solution for the transmit and receive antennas, we show in this paper that accurate approximations for link loss can be obtained for the special cases of electrically small dipole or loop antennas, with Gaussian or Gaussian doublet (monocycle) generator waveforms. We also consider the error involved with applying the much simpler narrowband Friis transmission formula. It is found that the use of the basic Friis formula can result in link loss errors of more than 60 dB for a UWB system having severely (impedance) mismatched antennas, but may give results correct to within a few dB for well-matched narrowband antennas, or if the formula is augmented with an impedance mismatch correction factor. It appears that the dominant limitation of the Friis formula, when applied to UWB systems, is the broadband effect of mismatch between the transmit/receive antennas and their source or load impedances. Numerical examples are presented for electrically short dipoles, resonant dipoles, and broadband lossy dipoles for both Gaussian and monocycle input pulse waveforms.  相似文献

随着近红外声光可调滤波器(Near Infrared Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter,AOTF-NIR)光谱成像技术在深空探测的广泛应用,超声换能器作为AOTF-NIR核心部件,对其工作带宽、光谱衍射效率及功率效率提出了更高的要求.超声换能器在不同频率下具有不同的输入阻抗,当驱动信号源输出阻抗与换能器输入阻抗失配时将会产生能量损耗,导致无法把功率最大限度的传递给换能器,从而使AOTF-NIR光谱衍射效率降低,影响光谱灵敏度.该文通过射频电路先进设计系统(Advanced Design System,ADS)仿真及实验测试,运用滤波器网络理论,采用LC无耗储能元件设计了一种带通型宽带匹配网络.最终在60-120MHz带宽范围内阻抗匹配网络的回波损耗S11>-29.8dB,阻抗匹配网络功率效率达到90%以上.通过不断地微调优化匹配阻抗值及LC参数值,以此来提高光谱衍射效率,使光谱衍射效率最高达90%以上,提高了在620-1150nm波段内的光谱灵敏度及光谱成像清晰度.  相似文献

A cryogenic low noise amplifier (LNA) using Agilent high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) for 380 MHzto 480 MHz is designed and fabricated, and the excellent cryogenic performance in superconducting receiver front-end for communication system is achieved. A special input impedance matching topology is implemented to provide low noise figure (NF) and good input matching in this cryogenic LNA design. The measurement results show that the NF is within 0.25 dB from the minimum NF of a single transistor, the power gain is above 20 dB, the flatness is within 1 dB, and the maximum input return loss is lower than -20 dB in bandwidth.  相似文献

提出了一种工作频率为914MHz的印刷偶极子天线。为了使天线获得宽带特性和平衡馈电,采用了微带线到共面带状线的巴伦馈电。仿真表明天线在830MHz~1030MHz左右范围内,回波损耗低于-10dB,相对带宽可达22%。在中心工作频点上,该天线具有良好的回波损耗,可达-50dB。且结构简单,易于制作和集成,可用于相关的无线数据采集系统中。  相似文献

A broadband eight-way differential substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) power divider with bandpass-filtering response by using novel hybrid multiple-via probe and multiple radial slots has been presented in this paper. The novel hybrid multiple-via probe are employed to achieve broadband impedance matching, while the multiple radial slots are used to improve the out-of-band rejection level. An eight-way differential SIW power divider with bandpass-filtering response is designed, fabricated, and measured. The measured results agree with the simulated ones closely in the desirable frequency range. The measured average insertion loss of the eight-way power divider is approximately 9.3 dB and input return loss is greater than 15 dB from 3.2 to 8.1 GHz. Moreover, the out-of-band rejection band with more than 25 dB attenuation from 9 GHz to more than 11 GHz is observed. A maximum amplitude imbalance of \(\pm 0.7\,\hbox { dB}\) is observed over the entire operating frequency range.  相似文献

We present segmented transmission-line (TML) electroabsorption modulators (EAMs) with characteristic impedance close to 50 /spl Omega/. The segmented TML approach allows us to design a traveling-wave EAM with 50 /spl Omega/ impedance and very high bandwidth. The devices show low return loss (<-15 dB) and excellent frequency response up to 50 GHz, and exhibit a maximum model-extrapolated 3 dBe bandwidth (BW) of 90 GHz. An effective modeling tool based on Bloch-wave analysis is derived. Design considerations and TML properties for periodic TML-EAMs are discussed.  相似文献

介绍了一种工作在S频段,一分二十的威尔金森功率分配器的设计方法,20个输出端口为1:1的等功率分配,系统阻抗为50 Ω。使用软件Advanced Design System 2009进行仿真,在2.17~2.20 GHz的工作频率内,表现出良好的电气性能,输入端口反射系数在-18 dB,该功分器的20个输出端口的相位和幅度具有良好的一致性,端口幅度平衡度为±0.3 dB,相位平衡度±2°,输出端口的隔离度在-25 dB以下。  相似文献
