Code division multiple access (CDMA) has been proposed for personal communications networks for both terrestrial and satellite links. We analyze the performance of the downlink (i.e., the base-to-mobile link) of a low earth orbiting (LEO) mobile satellite channel. An important characteristic of this fading channel is that the desired signal and the multiple access interference from all spot beams of the corresponding satellite fade simultaneously. In this respect, the satellite downlink is also different from its terrestrial counterpart. A two-state fading channel model is considered. In the nonshadowed state, the signal envelope is characterized by Rician statistics and in the shadowed state by the Rayleigh statistics. 针对已有动态信道分配策略在阴影衰落环境中性能损失较大的问题,对卫星移动通信系统的阴影衰落信道模型进行分析,提出了一种动态信道分配策略。该策略结合用户的运动状态,通过在用户的预测运动轨迹上选取抽样点,将这些抽样点的平均干扰作为信道分配的指标,并采用链路质量约束避免了流量较大时的性能恶化。仿真结果表明提出的动态信道策略可在不增大阻塞率的前提下,在中低流量时将用户平均信噪比提高约0.5 dB。该策略可以应用于阴影衰落信道下的地面移动卫星通信系统,以提高用户的平均链路性能。  相似文献

A novel cooperative diversity scheme based on Distributed Space-Time Block Coding and Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (DSTBC-MC-CDMA) is proposed which works well in frequency selective fading channels with multiple single-antenna users. And an analytical error model is established to describe the symbol decoding errors between interusers, based on which a close form expression for theoretical Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of the scheme is derived to analyze the influence of the interuser decoding errors on the BER performance of the scheme. Then simulation is complimented to verify the analytic result above, which also shows that the BER performance of DSTBC-MC-CDMA outgoes that of non-cooperative MC-CDMA with considerable gains. Further- more, the simulations coincide with the theoretical results well.  相似文献

This paper, tutorial in nature, describes the effort of many investigators who have and still are conducting channel measurements and modeling for land mobile satellite communications. Various channel measurement results, ranging from ultrahigh frequency to Ka-band, are given. Many statistical channel models and simplified models that have been developed are referred to. Some of the models are applicable to geostationary and nongeostationary communications satellites. A statistical model developed by Loo (1985) is described in detail, as well as its extension to modeling land mobile satellite communications at Ka-band. This was accomplished by including a Gaussian probability density function to account for weather conditions. Also, practical computer-generated statistical channel models are given. These computer models should facilitate the estimation of performance of satellite communications systems  相似文献

智能车载协作系统中车辆快速移动使得无线通信信道具有时变特性,为有效评估系统的误码性能,给出了符合车载时变信道的一阶自回归(AR1)模型,提出了一种基于AR1模型的自适应解码转发(ADF)协作误码率分析方法.该方法通过AR1模型的多普勒频偏相关系数来刻画时变信道特性,根据中继译码结果自适应选择是否协作转发,提升了智能交通系统的可靠性.此外,利用矩生成函数(MGF)推导出ADF协作下多进制正交幅度调制(M-QAM)信号误码率封闭表达式,并分析了车载移动速度和信道状态信息(CSI)估计精度对误码性能的影响.数值仿真结果表明,车载系统能通过增加CSI估计精度,有效地减少车载快速移动引起的误码平顶值.该方法相对于放大转发(AF)协作通信方式,平均误码性能提高约8.7 dB.  相似文献

This paper deals with an efficient dynamic channel allocation (DCA) technique suitable for applications in mobile satellite cellular networks. A cost function is defined to allow an optimum selection of channels to be allocated on demand. A mobility model suitable for low earth orbit (LEO) satellite systems is presented. The performance of the novel DCA technique in terms of call blocking probability has been derived by simulations. The obtained results are compared with those achieved by a fixed channel allocation (FCA) technique to show a better behaviour.  相似文献

At present a major effort is under way to define the most efficient modulation/multiple access system in mobile satellite communication. Where the emphasis is on digital voice modulation, the proposed multiple access methods almost always imply frequency division multiple access (FDMA). This analysis presents a comparison between FDMA and code division multiple access (CDMA), for the operation of both multiple access methods in the mobile satellite communication environment. The mobile satellites under consideration use multiple-beam or scan-beam antennas and employ frequency reuse of the allocated L-band frequency spectrum. As CDMA is better at absorbing Doppler and multipath effects, and permits higher rate coding, in general (practical considerations aside) it appears to be the more capable system.  相似文献

An analytical derivation of the probability of bit error noncoherent frequency-shift keying (FSK) and coherent phase-shift keying (PSK) signals transmitted through a land-mobile satellite channel is described. The channel characteristics used in the analysis are based on a recently developed model which includes the combined effects of fading and shadowing. Analytical expressions for the probability of bit error of FSK and coherent phase-shift keying (CPSK) signals are obtained. The results show that large amounts of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are required to compensate for the combined effect of fading and shadowing. An analytical expression for the irreducible probability of bit error of a CPSK signal due to phase variations caused by fading and shadowing is derived. The results described should be useful in the design of land mobile satellite communication systems  相似文献

A novel class of adpative Kalman channel estimators (AKCEs) for low-data-rate signalling via the land mobile satellite (LMS) channel is presented in this paper. The proposed technique is based on a scheme known as the ‘parallel processing algorithm’ and assumes a discrete Gauss–Markov extension of the LMS channel model. Three different approaches compared against the non-adaptive filter show an improved estimation error variance under various environmental conditions. Trading off computational complexity and performance, the derived maximum a posteriori (MAP) approach has been found to be best applicable. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Given that satellite mobile channel is a time-varying channel,Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) was proposed to provide robust and spectrally efficient transmission over satellite mobile channel.Three different kinds of channel environment were considered in this paper:the urban area,the rural area,and the open space.Four combinations of modulation and coding were designed to meet reliable communication on time-varying channel,and spectral efficiency and system throughput of these three kinds of channel environment were simulated.Based on the simulation results,this paper analysed the results and compared the performances of AMC with non-AMC system in these three kinds of channel environment.At last,we come to the conclusions:a system with AMC can achieve higher spectral efficiency and better system throughput; and the spectral efficiency and system throughput of AMC system will be higher on better satellite mobile channel.  相似文献

针对双卫星中继协作通信系统中存在非符号周期整数倍的时延差问题,提出了一种双采样的差分空时正交频分复用(D-OFDM2)方案。所提方案在卫星信道条件未知的情况下,基于具有时延容忍的 D-OFDM编码,在接收端构造了一种双采样方法。该方法在以符号速率采样的同时,对当前主瓣大于相邻旁瓣的区间内增加一次采样,并将两次采样结果等增益合并。仿真结果表明,在系统时延差为非符号周期整数倍的情况下,该方法较单采样方法能获得更高的接收信噪比,同时改善了系统误码性能。  相似文献

Recently, Lee et al. proposed a simple and efficient authentication scheme for mobile satellite communication systems. However, we find that their scheme is vulnerable to the smart card loss attack, the denial of service attack and the replay attack. To overcome the weaknesses of Lee et al.'s scheme, we proposed an authentication scheme for mobile satellite communication systems to improve security. The proposed scheme possesses the essential properties and security requirements, which should be considered for the authentication scheme of mobile satellite communication systems. Cooperative diversity protocols promise a new dimension of diversity that provides better communication by engaging nearby relays in forming a ‘virtual’ array of antennas for combined signal transmission. The current incremental cooperative diversity algorithms incrementally select best relay(s) to cooperate based on the channel quality reported by the relays. However, the algorithms do not take into consideration the fact that the chosen best relay(s) at estimation may not always be the best at the time of communication. This is due to the time delay between the relay selection and its transmission of signal (problem of outdated channel quality information (CQI)). To solve this problem, the concept of channel prediction is introduced and employed whereby each relay determines a predicted value of its CQI based on its past measurements. The paper therefore develops a novel predictive relay‐selection (PRS) cooperative diversity model that seeks to improve land mobile satellite communication through prediction protocols. In the model, the chosen best relay is the one with the best predicted CQI value instead of the traditional outdated one. Performance analysis of outage probability and average bit error probability for the newly developed PRS cooperation shows that the PRS cooperation is better than direct and outdated CQI relay communication. In order to guarantee the service quality and reliability for mobile satellite communication systems, we have to take into account outages due to obstruction of the line-of-sight path between a satellite and a mobile terminal as well as the signal fluctuation caused by interference from multipath radio waves. Thus, we need a good characterization for the satellite propagation channel. In this paper, we derive a general statistical model for mobile communication systems based on propagation scattering theory. Both the probability density function (PDF) of the received signal envelope and that of received signal power are given. This model is shown to be more general than previously known statistical models and can provide a better fit to the experimental data. 针对低轨道(Low Earth Orbit,LEO)卫星通信系统包含不同层次业务的情况,提出一种动态多优先级信道预留策略。策略关键在于利用低轨卫星高速确定的运动特性进行呼叫业务预测,动态计算出最优的信道预留门限;进而建立了信道分配的马尔科夫模型;最终通过遗传算法获得该模型的解。在不需要对用户进行GPS定位的情况下,利用卫星运动预测动态获得最优预留门限,该策略有效降低了切换呼叫阻塞率,提高了信道利用率。仿真结果表明了该策略的有效性和优越性。  相似文献
