Energy-efficient light bulbs are being developed to replace the incandescent lamp where they can satisfy the design criteria and be used in'sockets that have long hours of annual use. The four technologies discussed include the compact fluorescent lamp, coated-filament lamp, electrodeless fluorescent lamp, and ' compact high-intensity discharge lamp. The systems demonstrate efficacy improvements of two to four times that of their incandescent counterparts. These new lamps have required considerable advances in lamp technology. They offer the potential for achieving efficacies close to 80 Im/W. These new lamps will reduce the energy used annually by incandescent lamps (190 billion kWh) by more than 50 percent in the 1990' s, at which times they will be commonly employed. 相似文献

A three-phase AC voltage controller can be used for energy saving while feeding a lightly loaded induction motor. In this paper, while optimizing the power consumed by the motor, the sampling time ( Delta t) and the step change in firing angle ( Delta alpha) have been appropriately chosen by simulating the transient performance of the system using the simulation language SIMNON. A combination of current minimization scheme and power factor maximization scheme has been advocated here which yields better savings than the constituent schemes individually. A functional relationship between the optimum value of alpha ( alpha opt) and the load on the motor has been deduced so that for a given load the same optimum point is attained always in spite of the inaccuracies in the current sensing mechanism. The hardware implementation is based on an Intel 8085 processor. The processor develops this functional relationship (AngleLoad Pattern) by learning the system behavior for two or more different load conditions. Thus, it can intelligently adapt itself to any variations in the system parameters because of temperature rise or other nonlinearities. 相似文献

The efficiency of electric energy use in the thermal technological processes of agricultural production can be significantly increased by using it during a period of reduced rate. The design features of an energy-efficient electric storage unit for steam and hot water supply of the agricultural facilities are considered. The electric plant includes a storage water heater, steam generator, section of steam superheating to a temperature of 140°C, control cabinet, and stop and safety valves. When heating the heat medium in all units of the plant, an indirect electric heating method was applied. A method of calculation of the electrical, thermal energy, and structural parameters is proposed. The results of physical modeling of the processes of heat transfer between the electric heater and heat medium are presented, and they are described mathematically. The dependence of the heat transfer coefficient on the specific surface power of the heaters when water boils in a large volume for the installed structure of the electric steam generator is obtained. The dynamics of the convective heat transfer between the electric heater and steal flow is studied. The economic efficiency of use of the storage electric plant is demonstrated, and it is shown in practical use. 相似文献

该文阐述对一种采用微晶芯片制成的管型基元LED的研究,这种管型基元LED结构是将N个≤25μm×25μm的芯片贴装在透光导热良好的基片上,通过串并联后再与梳篦状结构的导电和导热的反光板连接,然后再将其装入透光性好的玻管,两端分别用特殊形状的插接端子引出电源,并气密性封接和充入1atm以上的干燥氮气或其他惰性气体。这种管型基元LED的测试结果表明,其光效比同批次采用1 mm×1 mm尺寸的芯片提高1倍以上,而且在输入电流加大25%左右时也没有明显降低。研制成果表明它能为普通照明和液晶显示器的背光照明提供一种高光效的管型基元LED元件。 相似文献
