The master sintering curve approach represents densification data in terms of a master variable that combines sintering time and temperature. Recently, a finite-element scheme to predict sintering deformation that requires only the master sintering curve instead of a full constitutive law as the input data has been developed. Here, a modification to the original master sintering curve approach, so that it is more suitable for finite-element analysis, is presented. Finite-element shape functions are used to represent the densification data as well as the master sintering curve. This approach confers extra flexibility to the master sintering curve approach, even when it is not used with finite-element analysis. For example, by using shape functions, a varying activation energy can be used to obtain a master sintering curve for a set of densification data that cannot be fitted using a constant activation energy. 相似文献

Pactamycin is a bacteria‐derived aminocyclitol antibiotic with a wide‐range of biological activity. Its chemical structure and potent biological activities have made it an interesting lead compound for drug discovery and development. Despite its unusual chemical structure, many aspects of its formation in nature remain elusive. Using a combination of genetic inactivation and metabolic analysis, we investigated the tailoring processes of pactamycin biosynthesis in Streptomyces pactum. The results provide insights into the sequence of events during the tailoring steps of pactamycin biosynthesis and explain the unusual production of various pactamycin analogues by S. pactum mutants. We also identified two new pactamycin analogues that have better selectivity indexes than pactamycin against malarial parasites. 相似文献

Sch47554 and Sch47555 are antifungal compounds from Streptomyces sp. SCC‐2136. The availability of the biosynthetic gene cluster made it possible to track genes that encode biosynthetic enzymes responsible for the structural features of these two angucyclines. Sugar moieties play important roles in the biological activities of many natural products. An investigation into glycosyltransferases (GTs) might potentially help to diversify pharmaceutically significant drugs through combinatorial biosynthesis. Sequence analysis indicates that SchS7 is a putative C‐GT, whereas SchS9 and SchS10 are proposed to be O‐GTs. In this study, the roles of these three GTs in the biosynthesis of Sch47554 and Sch47555 are characterized. Coexpression of the aglycone and sugar biosynthetic genes with schS7 in Streptomyces lividans K4 resulted in the production of C‐glycosylated rabelomycin, which revealed that SchS7 attached a d ‐amicetose moiety to the aglycone core structure at the C‐9 position. Gene inactivation studies revealed that subsequent glycosylation steps took place in a sequential manner, in which SchS9 first attached either an l ‐aculose or l ‐amicetose moiety to 4′‐OH of the C‐glycosylated aglycone, then SchS10 transferred an l ‐aculose moiety to 3‐OH of the angucycline core. 相似文献

The production of β-sialon (Si3A1303N5) and nonoxidic powders by carbothermal reduction of oxides is discussed. Special attention is paid to the rate-determining steps in the conversion process performed in a packed-bed reactor. It is shown that powders with specific surface area >10 m2 /g can be produced by the correct choice of pellet size, gas flow rate, temperature, and raw material. 相似文献
