Some Architectural Alternatives in the Design of a Digital Switch

This paper presents a general survey of some common trends emerging in the field of digital central office architectural concepts, as promoted by technological progress and countered by the constraints of the existing telephone network establishment. No specific systems are covered, but solutions which might indicate a trend are identified and discussed. The main body of this paper is devoted to an analysis of digital central offices and the impact of technological progress on their architecture. General block diagrams are given and major subsystems are discussed. The discussion specifically concerns the line interface, the network and evolving control strategies in relation to technological tradeoffs.     

The sensitivity to technological innovations of the doses delivered by optimized mammography systems

Multiparameter optimizations have been carried out to study the effects of hypothetical technological advances on the patient doses required to maintain a given image quality in mammography. The assumed advances include: improvement in the power loading limits of the tube focal spot, increased absorption efficiency for a given detector resolution, increases in detector system gain, and changes in the exposure time limitations that result from patient motion. The optimization permits system geometry, kVp of the examination, filtration, detector resolution, focal spot size, and grid characteristics to vary simultaneously and self-consistently subject to image quality as well as technological constraints. The effects of technological innovations were measured by systematically varying the technological constraints to reflect hypothetical improvements and comparing the resulting minimized doses, required to maintain constant image quality, to a baseline optimized system derived from a set of baseline technological capabilities.

Research on effects of input servitization on export technological complexity of manufacturing industry of China

Based on measurement of export technological complexity and input servitization level in the manufacturing industry of China from 2006 to 2015, the effects of onshore and offshore input servitization on export technological complexity of manufacturing industry were discussed based on the panel data model by combining industrial heterogeneity. Results demonstrated that offshore input servitization has significant positive effects on export technological complexity of manufacturing industry and onshore input servitization can inhibit export technological complexity slightly. Input servitization can promote the export technological complexity to a limited extent. All of these influences have industrial heterogeneity.

A Social History of the Mobile Telephone with a View of its Future

The social history of the mobile telephone involves both the history of technological development and an account of changing social and political frameworks into which the new technological developments become integrated. The technological innovations of mobile telephony were established from the 1940s, but it was not until the 1990s that adoption took off. It has been claimed that the mobile telephone revolution can be explained by changes in the way communication happens through social networks, away from old hierarchical forms. Several unique communicative and behavioural patterns have emerged in countries with mass use of the mobile telephone, including texting (SMS) and the development of new social norms. Nevertheless there is still huge global variation in use and development, and more research needs to be conducted which responds to very local patterns of use and reuse. A functionally integrated injection laser-modulator with the radiation frequency modulation

The construction technique and structure of injection lasers with functionally integrated optical-radiation frequency modulators, characterized by the maximal terahertz modulation frequencies, are proposed. The proposed structure of injection laser-modulators ensures the possibility of their fabrication in a single technological cycle using traditional technological operations.

MMCM自动贴片成品率与效率的影响因素研究

贴片是微波多芯片组件（MMCM）组装过程中的一道重要工序。由于微波多芯片组件（MMCM）正不断向小型化、高密度、高可靠、高性能、大批量方向发展，因此对贴片工序的合格率和效率提出了更高的要求。文章主要通过基于Palomar3500-III型自动贴片机进行相关试验，对影响自动贴片质量、效率的因素进行研究分析，结果表明工装夹具的设计、吸嘴设计、图像识别、程序优化、工艺参数（压力大小／保压时间、固化条件）等因素直接影响全自动贴片的成品率和效率，文中对以上几方面的优化方法及途径进行了介绍，并通过正交试验法对工艺参数进行研究，最终提出一套相对较佳的贴片参数。
