该文针对FDTD近远场外推中时域解收敛慢和运算量大等问题,改进了FDTD求解方向图的方法.其核心思想是:FDTD近场计算时,只计算前一段时间外推面上的数据,利用GPOF法估算后面时间的数据.在计算过程中,利用奈奎斯特原理,减少了时间和空间上的采样点数,大大节省了运算时间.最后将数值结果与商业软件FEKO与HFSS的结果进行比较,验证了算法的有效性.  相似文献

该文提出一种利用时域有限差分计算雷电磁脉冲对飞机碳纤维介质舱体内的干扰作用的分析方法。将雷电通道等效为垂直于无限大导体地面的线天线,利用天线场区划分的概念将雷电电磁场划分为近区场和远区场。在远场情况下,通过在舱体侧设置平面波源来分析雷电脉冲对舱内的干扰;在近场情况下,通过在舱体一侧设置延伸至完全匹配层(PML),并与PML外金属边界相接的线电流来模拟一段雷电通道,有效避免了传统设置线电流时的静电积累效应,并分析近距离雷电对舱体的干扰。计算结果与解析结果吻合较好。分析解决了雷电脉冲的近场和远场情况下飞机碳纤维舱体内的电场分布及变化情况,为飞机介质舱体的电磁加固提供依据。  相似文献

Low-frequency noise characteristics of NPN and PNP InP-based heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs) were investigated. NPN HBTs showed a lower base noise current level (3.85 /spl times/ 10/sup -17/ A/sup 2//Hz) than PNP HBTs (3.10 /spl times/ 10/sup -16/ A/sup 2//Hz), but higher collector noise current level (7.16 /spl times/ 10/sup -16/ A/sup 2//Hz) than PNP HBTs (1.48 /spl times/ 10/sup -16/ A/sup 2//Hz) at 10 Hz under I/sub C/=1 mA, V/sub C/=1 V. The NPN devices showed a weak dependence I/sub C//sup 0.77/ of the collector noise current, and a dependence I/sub B//sup 1.18/ of the base noise current, while the PNP devices showed dependences I/sub C//sup 1.92/ and I/sub B//sup 1.54/, respectively. The dominant noise sources and relative intrinsic noise strength were found in both NPN and PNP InP-based HBTs by comparing the noise spectral density with and without the emitter feedback resistor. Equivalent circuit models were employed and intrinsic noise sources were extracted. The high base noise current of PNP HBTs could be attributed to the exposed emitter periphery and higher electron surface recombination velocity in P-type InP materials, while the relatively high collector noise current of NPN HBTs may be due to the noise source originating from generation-recombination process in the bulk material between the emitter and the collector.  相似文献

The common-mode (CM) current due to a trace near a printed circuit board (PCB) edge, and its suppression by a guard band have been studied experimentally and with finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) modeling. As the guard band, copper tape is connected along the entire edge of the ground plane. First, a PCB electromagnetic interference (EMI) coupling path that results from the nonzero impedance of the PCB ground plane is discussed. As the trace is moved closer to the PCB edge, the CM current increases. Then, the effect of the guard band on the CM current is detailed. A guard band parallel to and near a trace is most effective in suppressing the CM current. The cross-sectional magnetic field distribution at center of the PCB with and without the guard band is also calculated with FDTD modeling. The guard band decreases the magnetic field distributed on the reverse side of a PCB. These results indicate the guard band is effective in suppressing CM current. Finally, an empirical formula to quantify the relationship between the position of a trace and CM current for the case with a guard band is proposed. Calculated results using the empirical formula and FDTD modeling are in good agreement, which indicates this empirical formula should be useful for developing EMI design guidelines.  相似文献

We previously introduced high-accuracy finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithms based on nonstandard finite differences (NSFD) to solve the nonabsorbing wave equation and the nonconducting Maxwell equations. We now extend our methodology to the absorbing wave equation and the conducting Maxwell equations. We first derive an exact NSFD model of the one-dimensional wave equation, and extend it to construct high-accuracy FDTD algorithms to solve the absorbing wave equation, and the conducting Maxwell's Equations in two and three dimensions. For grid spacing h, and wavelength /spl lambda/, the NSFD solution error is /spl epsiv//spl sim/(h//spl lambda/)/sup 6/ compared with (h//spl lambda/)/sup 2/ for ordinary FDTD algorithms using second-order central finite-differences. This high accuracy is achieved not by using higher-order finite differences but by exploiting the analytical properties of the decaying-harmonic solution basis functions. Besides higher accuracy, in the NSFD algorithms the maximum time step can be somewhat longer than for the ordinary second-order FDTD algorithms.  相似文献

We formulate a problem of state information transmission over a state-dependent channel with states known at the transmitter. In particular, we solve a problem of minimizing the mean-squared channel state estimation error E/spl par/S/sup n/ - S/spl circ//sup n//spl par/ for a state-dependent additive Gaussian channel Y/sup n/ = X/sup n/ + S/sup n/ + Z/sup n/ with an independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) Gaussian state sequence S/sup n/ = (S/sub 1/, ..., S/sub n/) known at the transmitter and an unknown i.i.d. additive Gaussian noise Z/sup n/. We show that a simple technique of direct state amplification (i.e., X/sup n/ = /spl alpha/S/sup n/), where the transmitter uses its entire power budget to amplify the channel state, yields the minimum mean-squared state estimation error. This same channel can also be used to send additional independent information at the expense of a higher channel state estimation error. We characterize the optimal tradeoff between the rate R of the independent information that can be reliably transmitted and the mean-squared state estimation error D. We show that any optimal (R, D) tradeoff pair can be achieved via a simple power-sharing technique, whereby the transmitter power is appropriately allocated between pure information transmission and state amplification.  相似文献

Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithms are affected by numerical artifacts and noise. In order to obtain better results we propose the use of the principal component analysis based on multivariate statistical techniques. It allows a straightforward discrimination between the numerical noise and the actual electromagnetic field distributions, and the quantitative estimation of their respective contributions. Besides, the FDTD results can be filtered to clean the effect of the noise. The method has been applied successfully to two dimensional simulations: propagation of a pulse in vacuum using total field-scattered field techniques, and mode computation in a two-dimensional photonic crystal. In this last case, PCA has revealed hidden electromagnetic structures related to actual modes of the photonic crystal.  相似文献

Growth rate and feed consumption depressions were observed in groups of 25 day-old male chicks when exposed in metal cage environments to the following CW fields: 1) a UHF wave at 880 MHz in a very low-Q cavity resonator energized by a 220-mW power source (values of electric field square E/sup 2/ divided by the intrinsic impedance of free space /spl eta/ = 377 /spl Omega/ were measured resulting in a maximum value of 550 /spl mu/W/cm/sup 2/ with a "hot spot" of 900 /spl mu/W/cm/sup 2/); 2) a VHF wave at 260 MHz in a very low-Q cavity resonator, energized by a 220-mW power source (values of E/sup 2/ / /spl eta/ were not measured, but the values should have been similar to those measured in the UHF facility); 3) an extremely low frequency (ELF) electric field at either 45 or 60 Hz with calculated electric field strength of 3500 V/m; 4) an ELF magnetic field at either 45 or 60 Hz with 1.3 G was measured. Adrenal glands of chicks exposed to the 880-MHz wave were compared with those from control chicks. Smaller adrenals were observed in the treated group of birds. Growth depression was also observed in rats exposed to the UHF field at 880 MHz. Mean adrenal weights of the treated and control rats did not differ significantly; however, spleen and thymus weights of the treated rats were notably larger. Potential causes of the growth responses observed are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, a physics-based MOSFET drain thermal noise current model valid for deep submicron channel lengths was derived and verified with experiments. It is found that the well-known /spl mu/Q/sub inv//L/sup 2/ formula, previously derived for long channels, remains valid for short channels. Carrier heating in the gradual channel region was taken into account implicitly with the form of diffusion noise source and then impedance field method taking velocity saturation effect was used to calculate the external drain thermal noise current. The derived model was verified by experimental noise for devices with channel lengths down to 0.18 /spl mu/m. Excellent agreement between measured and modeled drain thermal noise was obtained for the entire V/sub GS/ and V/sub DS/ bias regions.  相似文献

We approach the multiple input multiple output (MIMO) decision feedback equalization (DFE) problem in digital communications from an H/sup /spl infin// estimation point of view. Using the standard (and simplifying) assumption that all previous decisions are correct, we obtain an explicit parameterization of all H/sup /spl infin// optimal DFEs. In particular, we show that, under the above assumption, minimum mean square error (MMSE) DFEs are H/sup /spl infin// optimal. The radiation pattern of a monopole antenna with a small electromagnetic crystal (EMXT) reflector was investigated. High frequency structure simulations predict a considerable amount of near-field shielding with undisturbed antenna impedance matching when a perfect magnetic conductor reflector is positioned near the monopole. The pattern distortion created by the reflector gradually decreases, reaching a minimum in the far field. Experimental results show the monopole with an EMXT reflector, /spl lambda//sub 0//4/spl times//spl lambda//sub 0//2 in size, produces a radiation pattern with a front-to-back ratio of 10.8 and 5.7 dB in the near and far fields, respectively.  相似文献

The low-frequency noise characteristics of p-n-p InAlAs/InGaAs heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs) were investigated. Devices with various geometries were measured under different bias conditions. The base noise current spectral density (3.11 /spl times/ 10/sup -16/ A/sup 2//Hz) was found to be higher than the collector noise current spectral density (1.48 /spl times/ 10/sup -16/ A/sup 2//Hz) at 10 Hz under low bias condition (I/sub C/=1 mA, V/sub EC/=1 V), while the base noise current spectral density (2.04 /spl times/ 10/sup -15/ A/sup 2//Hz) is lower than the collector noise current spectral density (7.87 /spl times/ 10/sup -15/ A/sup 2//Hz) under high bias condition (I/sub C/=10 mA, V/sub EC/=2 V). The low-frequency noise sources were identified using the emitter-feedback technique. The results suggest that the low-frequency noise is a surface-related process. In addition, the dominant noise sources varied with bias levels.  相似文献

We introduce an extended class of cardinal L/sup */L-splines, where L is a pseudo-differential operator satisfying some admissibility conditions. We show that the L/sup */L-spline signal interpolation problem is well posed and that its solution is the unique minimizer of the spline energy functional /spl par/Ls/spl par//sub L2//sup 2/, subject to the interpolation constraint. Next, we consider the corresponding regularized least squares estimation problem, which is more appropriate for dealing with noisy data. The criterion to be minimized is the sum of a quadratic data term, which forces the solution to be close to the input samples, and a "smoothness" term that privileges solutions with small spline energies. Here, too, we find that the optimal solution, among all possible functions, is a cardinal L/sup */L-spline. We show that this smoothing spline estimator has a stable representation in a B-spline-like basis and that its coefficients can be computed by digital filtering of the input signal. We describe an efficient recursive filtering algorithm that is applicable whenever the transfer function of L is rational (which corresponds to the case of exponential splines). We justify these algorithms statistically by establishing an equivalence between L/sup */L smoothing splines and the minimum mean square error (MMSE) estimation of a stationary signal corrupted by white Gaussian noise. In this model-based formulation, the optimum operator L is the whitening filter of the process, and the regularization parameter is proportional to the noise variance. Thus, the proposed formalism yields the optimal discretization of the classical Wiener filter, together with a fast recursive algorithm. It extends the standard Wiener solution by providing the optimal interpolation space. We also present a Bayesian interpretation of the algorithm.  相似文献

This paper discusses the use of printed circuit board (PCB) integrated inductors for low power DC/DC buck converters. Coreless, magnetic plates and closed core structures are compared in terms of achievable inductance, power handling and efficiency in a footprint of 10 /spl times/ 10 mm/sup 2/. The magnetic layers consist of electroplated NiFe, so that the process is fully compatible with standard PCB process. Analytic and finite element method (FEM) methods are applied to predict inductor performance for typical current waveforms encountered in a buck converter. Conventional magnetic design procedures are applied to define optimum winding and core structures for typical inductor specifications. A 4.7 /spl mu/H PCB integrated inductor with dc current handling of up to 500 mA is presented. This inductor is employed in a 1.5 W buck converter using a commercial control integrated circuit (IC). The footprint of the entire converter measures 10 /spl times/ 10 mm/sup 2/ and is built on top of the integrated inductor to demonstrate the concept of integrated passives in power electronic circuits to achieve ultra flat and compact converter solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the problem of linearly equalizing the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications channels from an H/sup /spl infin// point of view. H/sup /spl infin// estimation theory has been recently introduced as a method for designing filters that have acceptable performance in the face of model uncertainty and lack of statistical information on the exogenous signals. In this paper, we obtain a closed-form solution to the square MIMO linear H/sup /spl infin// equalization problem and parameterize all possible H/sup /spl infin//-optimal equalizers. In particular, we show that, for minimum phase channels, a scaled version of the zero-forcing equalizer is H/sup /spl infin//-optimal. The results also indicate an interesting dichotomy between minimum phase and nonminimum phase channels: for minimum phase channels the best causal equalizer performs as well as the best noncausal equalizer, whereas for nonminimum phase channels, causal equalizers cannot reduce the estimation error bounds from their a priori values. Our analysis also suggests certain remedies in the nonminimum phase case, namely, allowing for finite delay, oversampling, or using multiple sensors. For example, we show that H/sup /spl infin// equalization of nonminimum phase channels requires a time delay of at least l units, where l is the number of nonminimum phase zeros of the channel.  相似文献

Noise measurement in the linear regime of the device characteristics shows the evolution of an important Lorentzian-like component in the thin-film SIMOX silicon-on-insulator (SOI) n-MOSFET, during the transition from fully depleted to near fully (or partially) depleted operation. The same noise component co-exists with another Lorentzian-like component commonly observed in the kink region, thus distinguishing it from the latter, which is associated with a shot-noise mechanism. Evidence unambiguously shows that local potential fluctuations, caused by random generation-recombination (G-R) processes at bulk defects in the depleted SOI film, are primarily responsible. Extracted trap energy of /spl sim/0.4-0.45 eV below the silicon conduction band edge confirms the involvement of deep-level electron traps, which are probably linked to the residual oxygen and SiO/sub 2/ precipitates in the SOI film. A new analytical G-R noise model yields bulk traps with an average density of /spl sim/10/sup 16/ cm/sup -3/, situated at /spl sim/22-32 nm from the front interface. With an area density comparable to that of the front interface states, the proximity of these bulk traps to the conducting channel in thin-film SIMOX SOI devices accounts for the dominance of bulk-trap induced G-R noise over conventional 1/f noise due to near-interface oxide traps.  相似文献

The induced fields and the associated power deposition in mail exposed to HF electromagnetic (EM) fields have been investigated theoretically using spherical models. The induced electric fields inside the model exposed to either plane wave or near fields can be described adequately by a combination of quasi-static electric and magnetic induction solutions. It is shown that for field impedances less than 1200/spl pi//spl Omega/ the magnetically induced energy absorption predominates. Therefore, H fields must be measured to obtain any estimate of the hazards due to HF exposure. For a 70-kg model of man exposed to a plane wave field, the theory indicates that the time-average power absorption per unit volume is less than 2.5x10/sup -3/ mW/g for each milliwatt per square centimeter incident at 20 MHz and below. This suggests that the thermal safe-exposure levels for the HF band are many orders of magnitude in excess of the 10-mW/cm/sup 2/ level recommended for the microwave region.  相似文献

基于时域有限差分方法和传输线方程,结合高效网格建模技术,文中提出了一种高效的时域建模算 法,它能有效解决微带线的电磁耦合建模问题,实现空间电磁场与微带线瞬态响应的同步计算。首先,结合经验公 式,计算得到微带线的单位长度分布参数,构建适用于微带线电磁耦合分析的传输线方程。然后,采用时域有限差 分(Finite-Difference Time-Domain, FDTD)方法,结合非均匀网格技术和自动网格生成技术,仿真得到微带线激励场, 并在每个时间步进上引入传输线方程获得等效分布源项。最后,对传输线方程使用FDTD 的中心差分格式进行离 散,实现微带线及其端接电路上瞬态响应的迭代求解。为了验证时域建模算法的正确性和高效性,通过自由空间和 屏蔽腔内PCB 上微带线电磁耦合的数值模拟,从计算精度和耗时两方面与传统FDTD 方法的计算结果进行了对比。  相似文献
