1.  Presence in a welded joint of steel 08Kh18N10T of 2–2.5% -ferrite promotes an increase in the degree of first-order stress relaxation at 400–480°C without reducing strength properties and with retention of resistance to ICC.
2.  A reduction in the relaxation resistance of an electroslag weld with an austenitic structure with a small amount of ferrite is due to the greater deformation capacity of ferite and microvolumes of austenite adjacent to it.

1.  The nonuniform effect of average defect density and average stress level on the corrosion resistance of steel is due to evolution of a substructure and connected with it the nonuniform dependence of local internal stresses.

Properties of surface oxide layers formed on extended Kh18N10T steel specimens upon oxidation at residual pressure P = 10?4–101 mmHg under typical heating in a furnace and alternating-current (50 Hz) electrocontact heating (300°C) are studied. A strong activating effect of alternating-current heating on the oxidation of steel at P = 0.01 mmHg is noticed. Compared to typical heating in a furnace, electrocontact heating promotes saturation of the surface oxide with chromium and homogenization of the chromium distribution in the depth of the oxide and the resulting formation of iron chromite.  相似文献

Conclusions Nitriding of austenitic steel of the 12Kh18N10T type can be speeded up by using ordinary furnaces.
