A broadband E-shaped microstrip antenna is discussed. Its bandwidth is further increased by cutting a pair of tapered slots. Using the even-mode symmetry of an E-shaped microstrip antenna, a compact single slot loaded rectangular microstrip antenna is proposed, which reduces the antenna size by half.  相似文献

The study of the effect of various meandering slots in the rectangular microstrip antenna ground plane for compact broadband operation is presented. The rectangular microstrip antenna is meandered using three different types of ground plane meandering slots: (a) smaller meandering slots, (b) longer meandering slots, and (c) open-end meandering slots, and is studied experimentally and compared. In these meandering slots, the open-end meandering slot is proved to be effective in significantly enhancing the bandwidth of a compact meandered antenna. Using open-end meandering slots in the ground plane, an extreme compactness of 83% with a broad bandwidth of 38.3% is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper a novel form of the familiar E-shaped patch antenna is presented. In the presented approach, by using the genetic algorithm (GA) based on fuzzy decision-making, some modifications have been implemented to the incorporated slots which lead to even more enhancement in the antenna bandwidth. The MOM (Method of Moment) is employed for analysis at the frequency band of 1.8GHz–2.6GHz by the optimization parameters of supply locations and slot dimensions. In the implemented fuzzy system, inputs are parameters like population, and outputs are parameters like recombination to produce the next generation. Fuzzy inference system (FIS) is used for the control of GA parameters. The design is also optimized by successive iterations of a computer-aided analysis package and experimental modifications. Prototype antenna, resonating at wireless communication frequencies of 1.88 and 2.37 GHz, has been constructed and experimental results are in relatively good agreement with the analysis. Dimensions of the modified slots for bandwidth enhancement, while maintaining good radiation characteristics, have been determined and the obtained antenna bandwidth of 36.7% is larger than that of a corresponding unslotted rectangular microstrip antenna or a conventional E-Shaped patch antenna. Details of the antenna design approach and experimental results are presented and discussed.  相似文献

An aperture shape that gives significantly improved coupling for an aperture coupled microstrip antenna is described. This 'dogbone' aperture consists of the usual rectangular slot augmented with loading slots at each end. Measured data show an increase of more than three for the resonant input impedance of an antenna using the dogbone-shaped aperture, as compared with the input impedance of the same antenna with a rectangular slot of the same overall length. 现有开槽技术减缩微带天线RCS是以牺牲辐射性能为代价,文中提出了一种圆形槽与矩形槽相结合的开槽方式,这种方式可以实现RCS的有效减缩。理论分析和仿真、实测结果表明,该方法设计的微带天线在辐射性能没有变化的同时,在4~8GHz频率范围内单站RCS有了较大幅度的减缩,最大减缩量达到了22dBsm。  相似文献

为了简化方形切角圆极化微带天线单元的设计流程,提出了一种新颖的开槽切角圆极化微带天线单元形式。利用在微带天线单元上开矩形槽的方法,避免了调试切角圆极化单元的谐振频点和轴比时的反复迭代过程,缩短了调试时间。分析了矩形槽的不同宽度和深度对阻抗和轴比的影响,并通过仿真设计出一款性能良好的微带天线单元。单层微带天线单元仿真的最终阻抗相对带宽(S11 <-10 dB)为2. 05% (1. 980 ~ 2. 021 GHz);仿真的最终轴比相对带宽(AR<3 dB)为0. 50%(1. 995 ~2. 005 GHz)。加工了天线单元实物并进行测试,实测的阻抗相对带宽(S11 <-10 dB)为2. 05%(1. 975 ~2. 016 GHz);实测的轴比相对带宽(AR<3 dB)为0. 50% (1. 990 ~ 2. 000 GHz)。实测结果与仿真结果具有良好的一致性,验证了设计的正确性。  相似文献

A method of increasing the bandwidth of low-profile cavity-hacked slot and microstrip patch antennas without appreciably adding to the antenna dimensions is presented. This idea incorporates the stacking of structures which have close resonant frequencies. Energy is coupled between cavities via carefully placed slots in the common wall. An approximate two-and-a-half fold increase in input impedance bandwidth has been observed for a certain cavity-backed slot antenna.  相似文献

设计了一种改进的U型槽低剖面宽带微带天线,并考虑在尺寸为30.0 mm×30.0 mm×1.5 mm、由相对介电常数为4.4的FR4制成的覆铜介质基板上通过酸蚀制备该天线。利用仿真软件HFSS对该天线的参数进行了仿真和优化,并根据优化的天线尺寸进行了实际制作和测量。仿真及实测结果均表明:通过在U型槽臂加载弧形,该天线的频带宽度和相对带宽分别可达3.4~11.2 GHz(S11≤–10 dB)和107%,达到了展宽带宽的目的。该天线不仅可以实现超宽带,而且结构简单,尺寸小,易于集成。  相似文献

With a foam substrate of thickness ~0.08 λ0, a slotted triangular microstrip antenna with an operating bandwidth of ~18% is obtained, which is ~1.8 times that of a corresponding simple triangular patch antenna. A novel broadband design of a probe-fed rectangular microstrip antenna with a pair of toothbrush-shaped slots embedded close to the nonradiating edges of the patch is presented. The proposed broadband design is achieved by the excitation of two adjacent resonant frequencies of the TM10 and TMδ0 modes (1<δ<2), to obtain a wide operating bandwidth. An antenna bandwidth as large as ~2.6 times that of a conventional rectangular microstrip antenna has also been obtained. A wide operating bandwidth for a single-layer coaxially fed rectangular microstrip patch antenna can be obtained by cutting a U-shaped slot on the patch. This antenna structure has recently been found experimentally to provide impedance bandwidths of 10%-40%, even with nonair substrates. However, design rules for this antenna have not yet been presented. This paper develops principle design procedures through examination of the structure's multiple resonant frequencies as well as the radiation and impedance properties of different antenna geometries. The approximate design rules are derived by analysis of former experiments, method of moments (MoM) simulations, and measurement results. Simulations and measurements of several antennas designed using these new rules are presented and directions for further study are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, a different method for designing a new slot antenna with dual band-notched characteristic for ultra-wideband applications is presented. The proposed antenna consists of a square-ring radiating stub with an inverted T-shaped strip protruded inside the ring, a feed-line with an E-shaped strip protruded inside the rectangular slot, and a ground plane with a pair of L-shaped strips protruded inside the extra rectangular slot. In this study, by using a a pair of L-shaped strips protruded inside the slot in the ground plane, additional resonance is excited and hence much wider impedance bandwidth can be produced. By using this modified structure in the ground plane, the antenna provides a wide usable fractional bandwidth of more than 130 % (3.01–15.35 GHz). To generate a single band-notched function, we convert a square radiating patch to a square-ring with an inverted T-shaped strip. Finally, by adding a rectangular slot with a protruded E-shaped strip in the microstrip feed line, a dual band-notched function is achieved. The measured results reveal that the presented dual band-notched slot antenna offers a very wide bandwidth with two notched bands, covering all the 5–6 GHz wireless local area network, 8–8.5 GHz international telecommunication union bands.  相似文献

提出了一种新颖的V形微带缝隙天线,地板上开一个直角V形缝隙,在V形缝隙的顶角处附加一个小直角三角形补偿隙,通过改变三角形补偿隙面积的大小可以对天线阻抗匹配进行优化,由基片另一侧的箭形微带线终端对缝隙单元馈电。这种天线易于实现宽带特性,设计简单,便于加工。文中给出了天线阻抗和方向图的计算结果,并给出了反射损耗和增益的实验结果。实测结果表明,该天线的阻抗带宽达到了43%,覆盖了1146~1776MHz的频率范围,-10dB阻抗带宽内增益值在4.5~6.5dB之间,平均增益约为5.5dB。  相似文献
