研究了上海交通大学热能研究所研制的60kW两段式秸秆气化炉的运行特性.以秸秆为原料在该气化炉上实验,考察原料量、空气过量系数对气化炉生产能力和碳转化率以及气化效率的影响,并分析了气化气成分及热值.数据表明该气化炉各项参数均优于一般固定床气化炉:原料消耗量为100kg/h,ER=0.35时,秸秆气化气平均热值为6599.6010/m~3,产气率为1.88m~3/kg,碳转化率为91.3%,气化效率为84.6%.  相似文献

This paper reports gasification of coal/biomass blends in a pilot scale (50 kWe) air-blown circulating fluidized bed gasifier. Yardsticks for gasification performance are net yield, LHV and composition and tar content of producer gas, cold gas efficiency (CGE) and carbon conversion efficiency (CCE). Net LHV decreased with increasing equivalence ratio (ER) whereas CCE and CGE increased. Max gas yield (1.91 Nm3/kg) and least tar yield (5.61 g/kg of dry fuel) was obtained for coal biomass composition of 60:40 wt% at 800 °C. Catalytic effect of alkali and alkaline earth metals in biomass enhanced char and tar conversion for coal/biomass blend of 60:40 wt% at ER = 0.29, with CGE and CCE of 44% and 84%, respectively. Gasification of 60:40 wt% coal/biomass blend with dolomite (10 wt%, in-bed) gave higher gas yield (2.11 Nm3/kg) and H2 content (12.63 vol%) of producer gas with reduced tar content (4.3 g/kg dry fuel).  相似文献

The influences of equivalence ratio (ER), oxygen concentration (OC) and fluidization velocity (FV) on the gasification performance in a pilot-scale fluidized bed with capacity of 1 ton biomass (the mixture of agricultural residue) per day were investigated using oxygen-enriched air as gasification agent and high-alumina bauxite as bed material. The characteristics of syngas (lower heating value (LHV), gas yield (Y), carbon conversion (CC) and cold gas efficiency (CGE)), bio-char (LHV and Proximate analysis) and tar (tar yield and LHV) were used to evaluate the gasification performance in this study. The results showed that 0.161 was the optimal ER due to the high quality of syngas produced and relatively lower tar generation with ER changing from 0.115 to 0.243 at OC ≈ 40% and FV ≈ 1.20.29.7% was the optimal OC due to the highest Y and CC and relatively low tar generation when OC varied from 21% to 44.7% at ER ≈ 1.40 and FV ≈ 1.15. Although higher FV could improve syngas quality, it also resulted in the higher tar yield and heavier wear, therefore, the optimal gasification performance was achieved at moderate FV (FV = 1.13). This study proved that oxygen-enriched gasification in a large-scale fluidized bed was an effective option to produce gaseous biofuels with high quality.  相似文献

In the context of climate change, efficiency and energy security, biomass gasification is likely to play an important role. Circulating fluidised bed (CFB) technology was selected for the current study. The objective of this research is to develop a computer model of a CFB biomass gasifier that can predict gasifier performance under various operating conditions. An original model was developed using ASPEN Plus. The model is based on Gibbs free energy minimisation. The restricted equilibrium method was used to calibrate it against experimental data. This was achieved by specifying the temperature approach for the gasification reactions. The model predicts syn-gas composition, conversion efficiency and heating values in good agreement with experimental data. Operating parameters were varied over a wide range. Parameters such as equivalence ratio (ER), temperature, air preheating, biomass moisture and steam injection were found to influence syn-gas composition, heating value, and conversion efficiency. The results indicate an ER and temperature range over which hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO) are maximised, which in turn ensures a high heating value and cold gas efficiency (CGE). Gas heating value was found to decrease with ER. Air preheating increases H2 and CO production, which increases gas heating value and CGE. Air preheating is more effective at low ERs. A critical air temperature exists after which additional preheating has little influence. Steam has better reactivity than fuel bound moisture. Increasing moisture degrades performance therefore the input fuel should be pre-dried. Steam injection should be employed if a H2 rich syn-gas is desired.  相似文献

The gasification characteristics of the rice husk were studied in a cyclone gasifier using air as the gasifying medium to generate the fuel gas with available heating value and less tar content. The influence of equivalence ratio on temperature profiles, composition and low heating value of the produced gas, tar content, carbon conversion and cold gas efficiency was investigated. The equivalence ratios considered in this study were 0.20–0.32. The results show that the optimal equivalence ratio is 0.29 and the maximum temperature of gasification should be lower than 1000 °C. In order to optimize the performance of the cyclone gasifier, the main body of the gasifier was lengthened and air staged gasification was carried out. The low heating value of the produced gas, carbon conversion, cold gas efficiency and tar content are 4.72 MJ/Nm3, 57.5%, 37.3% and 1.85 g/Nm3, respectively.  相似文献

The main objective of this paper is to study the effect of design and operating parameters, mainly reactor geometry, equivalence ratio and biomass feeding rate, on the performance of the gasification process of biomass in a three air stage continuous fixed bed downdraft reactor. The gasification of corn straw was carried out in the gasifier under atmospheric pressure, using air as gasifying agent. The results demonstrated that due to the three stage of air supply, a high and uniform temperature was achieved in the oxidation and reduction zones for better tar cracking. The designing of both the air supply system and rotating grate avoided bridging and channeling. The gas composition and tar yield were affected by the parameters including equivalence ratio (ER) and biomass feeding rate. When biomass feeding rate was 7.5 kg/h and ER was 0.25–0.27, the product gas of the gasifier attained a good condition with lower heating value (LHV) about 5400 kJ/m3 and cold gas efficiency about 65%. An increase in equivalence ratio led to higher temperature which in turn resulted in lower tar yield which was only 0.52 g/Nm3 at ER = 0.32. Increasing biomass feeding rate led to higher biomass consumption rate and process temperature. However, excessively high feeding rate was unbeneficial for biomass gasification cracking and reforming reactions, which led to a decrease in H2 and CO concentrations and an increase in tar yield. When ER was 0.27, with an increase of biomass feeding rate from 5.8 kg/h to 9.3 kg/h, the lower heating value decreased from 5455.5 kJ/Nm3 to 5253.2 kJ/Nm3 and tar yield increased from 0.82 g/Nm3 to 2.78 g/Nm3.  相似文献

The developed 1-dimensional biomass gasification mathematical model [1] was validated using the experimental results obtained from a circulating fluidized bed biomass gasifier. The reactor was operated on rice husk at various equivalence ratios (ER), fluidization velocities and biomass feed rates. The model gave reasonable predictions of the axial bed temperature profile, syngas composition and lower heating value (LHV), gas production rate, gasification efficiency and overall carbon conversion. The model was also validated by comparing the simulation results with two other different size circulating fluidized beds biomass gasifiers (CFBBGs) using different biomass feedstock, and it was concluded that the developed model can be applied to other CFBBGs using various biomass fuels and having comparable reactor geometries.  相似文献

The catalytic steam gasification of palm oil wastes for hydrogen-rich gas production was experimentally investigated in a combined fixed bed reactor using the newly developed tri-metallic catalyst. The results indicated that the supported tri-metallic catalyst had greater activity for the cracking of hydrocarbons and tar in vapor phase and higher hydrogen yield than the calcined dolomite in catalytic steam gasification of palm oil wastes. A series of experiments have been performed to explore the effects of temperature, steam to biomass ratio (S/B) and biomass particle size on gas composition, gas yield, low heating value (LHV) and hydrogen yield. The experiments demonstrated that temperature was the most important factor in this process; higher temperature contributed to higher hydrogen production and gas yield, however, it lowered gas heating value. Comparing with biomass catalytic gasification, the introduction of steam improved gas quality and yield, the optimal value of S/B was found to be 1.33 under the present operating condition. It was also shown that a smaller particle size was more favorable for gas quality and yield. However, the LHV of fuel gas decreased with the increasing S/B ratio and the decreasing biomass particle size.  相似文献

Biomass gasification is an important method to obtain renewable hydrogen. However, this technology still stagnates in a laboratory scale because of its high-energy consumption. In order to get maximum hydrogen yield and decrease energy consumption, this study applies a self-heated downdraft gasifier as the reactor and uses char as the catalyst to study the characteristics of hydrogen production from biomass gasification. Air and oxygen/steam are utilized as the gasifying agents. The experimental results indicate that compared to biomass air gasification, biomass oxygen/steam gasification improves hydrogen yield depending on the volume of downdraft gasifier, and also nearly doubles the heating value of fuel gas. The maximum lower heating value of fuel gas reaches 11.11 MJ/N m3 for biomass oxygen/steam gasification. Over the ranges of operating conditions examined, the maximum hydrogen yield reaches 45.16 g H2/kg biomass. For biomass oxygen/steam gasification, the content of H2 and CO reaches 63.27–72.56%, while the content of H2 and CO gets to 52.19–63.31% for biomass air gasification. The ratio of H2/CO for biomass oxygen/steam gasification reaches 0.70–0.90, which is lower than that of biomass air gasification, 1.06–1.27. The experimental and comparison results prove that biomass oxygen/steam gasification in a downdraft gasifier is an effective, relatively low energy consumption technology for hydrogen-rich gas production.  相似文献

Biomass gasification, conversion of solid carbonaceous fuel into combustible gas by partial combustion, is a prominent technology for the production of hydrogen from biomass. The concentration of hydrogen in the gas generated from gasification depends mainly upon moisture content, type and composition of biomass, operating conditions and configuration of the biomass gasifier. The potential of production of hydrogen from wood waste by applying downdraft gasification technology is investigated. An experimental study is carried out using an Imbert downdraft biomass gasifier covering a wide range of operating parameters. The producer gas generated in the downdraft gasifier is analyzed using a gas chromatograph (NUCON 5765) with thermal conductivity detector (TCD). The effects of air flow rate and moisture content on the quality of producer gas are studied by performing experiments. The performance of the biomass gasifier is evaluated in terms of equivalence ratio, composition of producer gas, and rate of hydrogen production.  相似文献

Plasma gasification is a promising gasification technology intended at providing sustainable disposal for various wastes. In this work, a process model was developed to simulate the biomass plasma gasification using Aspen Plus simulator. Effects of critical parameters, including gasification temperature, Equivalence Ratio (ER) and Steam-to-Biomass Ratio (SBR) on the composition of fuel gas were discussed. The model is validated against experimental data and found to be in good agreement. The results indicate that low temperatures are more favourable for the production of hydrogen, while high ER has a negative effect on the hydrogen production. The simulation results also demonstrate that steam injection is a key factor to produce more hydrogen rich gas in the SBR range studied, but had a major effect on CO2 formation. The temperature and the SBR show opposite behavior on the syngas LHV, which is attributed to the CO content in the syngas that increases with temperature and decreases with SBR. Results of plasma gasification show similar syngas LHV trends for the three biomasses cases being the higher syngas LHV obtained for vines pruning. These data are crucial to describe scenarios concerning the potential use of biomass as energy source.  相似文献

The current paper concerns the process of non-woody biomass gasification, particularly about releasing processes of detrimental elements. The gasification of corn straw was carried out in a downdraft fixed bed gasifier under atmospheric pressure, using air as an oxidizer. The effects of the operating conditions on gasification performance in terms of the temperature profiles of the gasifier, the composition distribution of the producer gas and the release of sulphur and chlorine compounds during gasification of corn straw were investigated. This work examines the hydrogen gas yield and trace pollutants partitioning in automobile shredder residue (ASR) catalytic gasification by fixed bed and fluidized bed gasifier with controlling at equilibrium ratio (ER) 0.2, temperature 900 °C, and 5%–15% prepared catalyst addition. Oyster shell (OS) is a valuable resource due to its higher calcium content that it could prepare as a catalyst for enhancing the hydrogen production in ASR gasification. In the case of the fixed bed gasifier experiments, the highest lower heating value (LHV) and syngas production were found at 900 °C and 10% OS catalyst addition. The maximum H2 and CO composition were 6.57% and 5.97%, respectively. The LHV of syngas was approximately 4.43 MJ/Nm3. The fluidized bed gasifier could provide a good ASR decomposition and heat transfer behavior. The syngas yield results indicated the maximum H2 and CO composition were 12.12% and 10.59%, respectively. It was obviously showed that the syngas production and energy conversion efficiency were enhanced by applying fluidized bed gasifier. The maximum produced gas LHV was 10.77 MJ/Nm3 as well as the cold gas efficiency (CGE) of produced gas was 71.62%. On the other hand, the volatile sulfur and chlorine speciation formed in ASR gasification were mainly partitioned in the solid and/or liquid phase. It implied that tested OS catalysts could inhibit the volatile sulfur and chlorine speciation emission in the produced gas as well as enhance the produced gas quality. In summary, this research could provide basic insight into enhanced syngas production and quality in ASR catalytic gasification using the prepared OS catalyst.  相似文献

In this work, syngas was used directly as fuel source for the renewable CCHP system, which can be producted through biomass gasification process. The advantages and limitation of entrained flow gasifier are compared, followed by discussion on the key parameters that are critical for the optimum production of syngas. Gasification agent of 450 °C temperature and 30 atm pressure has been proposed as a optical solution to a entrained flow gasifier using air as gasification agent at 0.27 ER (oxygen equivalence ratio), in that it provides a syngas of 5.665 MJ/m3 LHV and up to 77% gasification efficiency. Depending on the key parameters of gasification process, the properties of syngas produced can be varied. It is thus essential to thoroughly understand the cogeneration system to identify the suitable methods for a renewable CCHP system. These process was simulated using Aspen Plus to perform the rigorous material and energy balances. The results obtained from simulation and experiment agreed well. This paper later focused on economic evaluation of the entire process, as well as the environmental benefits. The renewable CCHP system could able to attain lower CO2 and SO2 emission with total energy efficiency and gas yield of 75.43% and 2.476 m3/kg respectively.  相似文献

A kinetic model of algae gasification for hydrogen production with air and steam as gasification agent and was developed. The developed model was based on kinetic parameters available in the literature. The objective was to study the effect of critical parameters such as reaction temperature, stoichiometric ratio (SR) and steam flow rate (SFR) on H2/CO ratio in the syngas, hydrogen yield, and lower heating value (LHV) of the produced syngas. Model formulation was validated with experimental results on air-steam gasification of biomass conducted in an atmospheric fluidized bed gasifier. The results showed that higher temperature contributed to lower H2/CO, while higher SFR resulted in higher H2/CO. The LHV of producer gas increased with SFR and gasification temperature.  相似文献

A small scale fixed bed downdraft gasifier system to be fed with agricultural and forestry residues has been designed and constructed. The downdraft gasifier has four consecutive reaction zones from the top to the bottom, namely drying, pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction zones. Both the biomass fuel and the gases move in the same direction. A throat has been incorporated into the design to achieve gasification with lower tar production. The experimental system consists of the downdraft gasifier and the gas cleaning unit made up by a cyclone, a scrubber and a filter box. A pilot burner is utilized for initial ignition of the biomass fuel. The product gases are combusted in the flare built up as part of the gasification system. The gasification medium is air. The air to fuel ratio is adjusted to produce a gas with acceptably high heating value and low pollutants. Within this frame, different types of biomass, namely wood chips, barks, olive pomace and hazelnut shells are to be processed. The developed downdraft gasifier appears to handle the investigated biomass sources in a technically and environmentally feasible manner. 部分气化燃煤联合循环发电系统是目前具有发展前景的洁净煤发电技术之一。本文提出了将空气和蒸汽先经过高温预热再送入气化炉的部分气化联合循环系统新方案,对该方案进行了热力性能计算,并与常规的不预热空气/蒸汽的部分气化联合循环系统热力性能进行了分析比较。计算结果说明了高温预热空气/蒸汽的部分气化联合循环系统有利于提高煤气热值和循环系统效率,对于劣质煤以及生物质气化生成较高热值煤气也具有重要意义。  相似文献

A one-dimensional, steady state, numerical model was developed for a fluidized bed biomass gasifier. The gasifier model consists of a fuel pyrolysis model, an oxidation model, a gasification model and a freeboard model. Given the bed temperature, ambient air flow rate and humidity ratio, fuel moisture content and reactor parameters, the model predicts the fuel feed rate for steady state operation, composition of the producer gas and fuel energy conversion. The gasifier model was validated with experimental results. The effects of major mechanisms (fuel pyrolysis and the chemical and the physical rate processes) were assessed in a sensitivity study of the gasification model. A parametric study was also conducted for the gasifier model. It is concluded that the model can be used for gasifier performance analysis.  相似文献

This paper investigates the hydrogen-rich gas produced from biomass employing an updraft gasifier with a continuous biomass feeder. A porous ceramic reformer was combined with the gasifier for producer gas reforming. The effects of gasifier temperature, equivalence ratio (ER), steam to biomass ratio (S/B), and porous ceramic reforming on the gas characteristic parameters (composition, density, yield, low heating value, and residence time, etc.) were investigated. The results show that hydrogen-rich syngas with a high calorific value was produced, in the range of 8.10–13.40 MJ/Nm3, and the hydrogen yield was in the range of 45.05–135.40 g H2/kg biomass. A higher temperature favors the hydrogen production. With the increasing gasifier temperature varying from 800 to 950 °C, the hydrogen yield increased from 74.84 to 135.4 g H2/kg biomass. The low heating values first increased and then decreased with the increased ER from 0 to 0.3. A steam/biomass ratio of 2.05 was found as the optimum in the all steam gasification runs. The effect of porous ceramic reforming showed the water-soluble tar produced in the porous ceramic reforming, the conversion ratio of total organic carbon (TOC) contents is between 22.61% and 50.23%, and the hydrogen concentration obviously higher than that without porous ceramic reforming.  相似文献

The concept of biomass steam gasification offers platform for production (i) of hydrogen, (ii) hydrocarbons and (iii) value added chemicals. Majority of these developments are either in nascent or in pilot/demonstration stage. In this context, there exists potential for hydrogen production via biomass steam gasification. Gaseous products of biomass steam gasification consist of large percentage of CO, CH4 and other hydrocarbons, which can be converted to hydrogen through water‐gas‐shift reaction, steam reforming and cracking respectively. Although there are many previous research works showing the potential of production of hydrogen from biomass in a two stage process, challenges remain in extended biomass and char gasification so as to reduce the amount of carbon in the residual char as well as improve conversion of heavy hydrocarbon condensates to hydrogen rich gas. In the current work, the characteristics of biomass steam gasification in an in‐house designed rotary tubular helical coil reactor at temperatures less than 850 °C, in the presence of superheated steam, were presented. The objectives were to obtain high carbon conversion in the primary biomass steam gasification step (upstream) and high product gas yield and hydrogen yield in the secondary fixed bed catalytic step (downstream). The influence of temperature, steam‐to‐biomass ratio and residence time on product gas yield in the rotary tubular helical coil gasifier was studied in detail using one of the abundantly available biomass sources in India‐rice husk. Further, enhancement of product gas yield and hydrogen yield in a fixed bed catalytic converter was studied and optimized. In the integrated pathway, a maximum gas yield of 1.92 Nm3/kg moisture‐free biomass was obtained at a carbon conversion efficiency of 92%. The maximum hydrogen purity achieved under steady state conditions was 53% by volume with a hydrogen yield of 91.5 g/kg of moisture‐free biomass. This study substantiates overall feasibility of production of high value hydrogen from locally available biomass by superheated steam gasification followed by catalytic conversion.
