An amine‐ester derivative of isoeugenol was prepared in three steps. This amine‐ester was converted to diazonium salt and subsequently was reacted with 2‐naphthol and a novel isoeugenol ester‐azo derivative as a new monomer was obtained in quantitative yield. This monomer was characterized by high‐field 1H‐NMR, IR, and elemental analysis and then was used for the preparation of model compound and polymerization reactions. 4‐Phenyl‐1,2,4‐triazoline‐3,5‐dione was allowed to react with this new monomer. The reaction was very fast and gave only one double adduct by Diels–Alder and ene pathways in excellent yield. The polymerization reactions of novel monomer with bistriazolinediones [bis(p‐3,5‐dioxo‐1,2,4‐triazolin‐4‐ylphenyl)methane and 1,6‐bis(3,5‐dioxo‐1,2,4‐triazolin‐4‐yl)hexane] were carried out in N,N‐dimethylacetamide at room temperature. The reactions were exothermic, fast, and gave novel heterocyclic polyimides by repetitive Diels–Alder‐ene polyaddition reactions. Some structural characterization and physical properties of these novel heterocyclic polyimides are reported. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 89: 1942–1951, 2003  相似文献

1‐Naphthylacetic acid (1) was reacted with thionyl chloride and 1‐naphthyl‐ acetyl chloride (2) was obtained in a quantitative yield. The reaction of this acid chloride (2) with isoeugenol (3) was performed in chloroform and a novel isoeugenol ester derivative (4) as a monomer was obtained in a high yield. The compound (4) was characterized by 1H‐NMR, IR, mass, and elemental analyses and then was used for the preparation of a model compound (6) and polymerization reactions. 4‐Phenyl‐1,2,4‐triazoline‐3,5‐dione (PhTD) (5) was allowed to react with compound (4). The reaction is very fast and gives only one double adduct (6) via Diels–Alder and ene pathways in an excellent yield. The polymerization reactions of the novel monomer (4) with bistriazolinediones [bis‐(p‐3,5‐dioxo‐1,2,4‐triazolin‐4‐ylphenyl)methane (7) and 1,6‐bis‐(3,5‐dioxo‐1,2,4‐triazolin‐4‐yl)hexane] (8) were carried out in N,N‐dimethylacetamide (DMAc) at room temperature. The reactions are exothermic and fast and gave novel heterocyclic polyimides containing a naphthalenic pendant group (9) and (10) via repetitive Diels–Alder‐ene polyaddition reactions. Stereochemical analysis of the model compound and fluorimetric studies of the model compound as well as polymers were done conclusively. Excimer formation of the polymers and its effect on fluorescence emission were investigated and some structural characterization and physical properties of these novel heterocyclic polyimides are reported. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The reaction of 4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-dione (PhTD) ( 2 ) with trans-3,3-dichloro-1-phenyl-1-propene ( 4 ) was investigated at room and reflux temperatures in methylene chloride solution. Although the reaction is slow, it gives quantitative yield. This reaction leads to the formation of two 2:1 adducts via double Diels–Alder and Diels–Alder-Ene reactions in a ratio of about 1: 7. The major product was isolated by means of fractional crystallization as a pure compound and was characterized by infra-red (IR), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), 13C NMR, mass spectra and elemental analysis. The structure of the minor product was determined by IR and 1H NMR. These compounds were used as models for the polymerization reactions. The reaction of bistriazolinediones (1,6-bis-(3,5-dioxo-1,2,4-triazoline-4-yl)hexane and bis-(p-3,5-dioxo-1,2,4-triazoline-4-ylphenyl)methane) with ( 4 ) was carried out in dimethylformamide (DMF). The reactions gave novel polymers via repetitive double Diels–Alder and Diels–Alder-Ene polyaddition reactions, with the major component being a Diels–Alder-Ene structure. These polymers have intrinsic viscosities in a range from 0·08 to 0·18dlg-1 in DMF. The physical properties and structural characterization of these polymers have been studied and are reported. © of SCI.  相似文献

4‐(4′‐Aminophenyl)‐1,2,4‐triazolidine‐3,5‐dione ( 1 ) was reacted with 1,8‐naphthalic anhydride ( 2 ) in a mixture of acetic acid and pyridine (3 : 2) under refluxing temperature and gave 4‐(4′‐N‐1,8‐naphthalimidophenyl)‐1,2,4‐triazolidine‐3,5‐dione ( NIPTD ) ( 3 ) in high yield and purity. The compound NIPTD was reacted with excess n‐propylisocyanate in N,N‐dimethylacetamide solution and gave 1‐(n‐propylamidocarbonyl)‐4‐[4′‐(1,8‐naphthalimidophenyl)]‐1,2,4‐triazolidine‐3,5‐dione ( 4 ) and 1,2‐bis(n‐propylamidocarbonyl)‐4‐[4′‐(1,8‐naphthalimidophenyl)]‐1,2,4‐ triazolidine‐3,5‐dione ( 5 ) as model compounds. Solution polycondensation reactions of monomer 3 with hexamethylene diisocyanate ( HMDI ), isophorone diisocyanate ( IPDI ), and tolylene‐2,4‐diisocyanate ( TDI ) were performed under microwave irradiation and conventional solution polymerization techniques in different solvents and in the presence of different catalysts, which led to the formation of novel aliphatic‐aromatic polyureas. The polycondensation proceeded rapidly, compared with conventional solution polycondensation, and was almost completed within 8 min. These novel polyureas have inherent viscosities in a range of 0.06–0.20 dL g?1 in conc. H2SO4 or DMF at 25°C. A series of new polyimides containing s‐triazine rings have been synthesized via Diels–Alder intermolecular polymerization of 2,6‐bis(2‐furanylmethylimino)‐4‐isopropoxy‐1,3,5‐triazine with various bis(maleimide)s. All the poly(imino‐s‐triazine imide)s were characterized by elemental analyses, FTIR spectral studies, number average molecular weight ( M n) by non‐aqueous conductometric titration and thermogravimetry. Glass‐fibre reinforced composites were prepared via an in situ Diels–Alder intermolecular reaction between 2,6‐bis(2‐furanylmethylimino)‐4‐isopropoxy‐1,3,5‐triazine and various bis(maleimide)s. The composites were characterized for chemical resistivity and mechanical properties. © 2003 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The zeolite H‐Beta catalyzes the retro‐Diels–Alder reaction of a range of cyclopentadiene cyclo‐adducts at moderate temperatures and ambient pressure, in the presence of an active dienophile. The active catalyst was identified and optimum reaction conditions established after screening a range of zeolites in the retro‐Diels–Alder reaction of the cyclopentadiene adduct of cyclopentenone. Our results suggest that retro‐Diels–Alder reactions of tricyclodecadienones are catalyzed by Brønsted acids and the high catalytic performance of H‐Beta catalysts can be ascribed to the optimal balance between the number of acid sites and their strength as well as to the accessibility of these sites. The methodology was then applied to a series of alkyl derivatives of cyclopentadienylcyclopentenones to provide a viable alternative synthetic route to 4‐alkylcyclopentenones and the versatility of the approach was demonstrated by the successful cycloreversion of N‐cyclohexyl‐2‐azanorborn‐5‐ene.  相似文献

A series of new polymerized monomer reactants (PMR) matrix resins of poly(pyrrolone‐benzimidazole)s containing a pyridine unit (PPBP) were synthesized by polycondensation of monoethyl ester of cis‐5‐norbornene‐endo‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid, 2,6‐diphenyl ester pyridinedicarboxylic acid or 3,5‐diphenyl ester pyridinedicarboxylic acid, and diethyl ester of 4,4′‐oxydiphthalic acid with 3,3′‐diaminobenzidine in a mixing solution of anhydrous ethyl alcohol and N‐methylpyrrolidone under given temperature and pressure conditions. The resulting resin solutions showed good solubility in polar organic solvents and stability at room temperature. The corresponding PPBP matrix resin, molded powder, and molded plate were prepared by undergoing amidation, imidization, cyclization, and crosslinking reactions when the reaction temperature was increased from 80 to 350°C, successively; the crosslinking structure was formed by the reverse Diels–Alder reaction at 270–290°C under 50 MPa pressure (2.5–3.5 MPa displayed by the pressure meter). The chemical reactions and properties of the resulting PPBP were studied by means of FTIR, TGA, and DMA methods, and the results indicated that the kinds of PPBP materials retain excellent thermal stability and processability; when the initial decomposition temperature was above 620°C the Tg was at 413.5°C for 3,5‐PPBP‐20 molded plate. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. One class of potential Lewis acids that has received negligible attention as a catalyst is the carbocation. Here we show the potential of triarylmethylium ions as highly powerful Lewis acid catalysts for organic reactions. The Lewis acidity of the triarylmethylium ion can be easily tuned by variation of the electronic properties of the aromatic rings and the catalytic activity of the carbocation is shown to correlate directly to the level of stabilization of the empty pC‐orbital at the cationic carbon. The versatility of triarylmethylium ions as efficient Lewis acid catalysts for organic reactions is demonstrated in Diels–Alder, aza‐Diels–Alder, conjugate addition, halogenation, epoxide rearrangement and intramolecular hetro‐ene reactions.

4‐[4′‐(2‐Hydroxy‐1‐naphthylazo)phenyl]‐1,2,4‐triazolidine‐3,5‐dione ( HNAPTD ) ( 1 ) has been reacted with excess amount of n‐propylisocyanate in DMF (N,N‐dimethylformamide) solution at room temperature. The reaction proceeded with high yield, and involved reaction of both N? H of the urazole group. The resulting bis‐urea derivative 2 was characterized by IR, 1H‐NMR, elemental analysis, UV‐Vis spectra, and it was finally used as a model compound for the polymerization reaction. Solution polycondensation reactions of monomer 1 with Hexamethylene diisocyanate ( HMDI ) and isophorone diisocyanate ( IPDI ) were performed in DMF in the presence of pyridine as a catalyst and lead to the formation of novel aliphatic azo‐containing polyurea dyes, which are soluble in polar solvents. The polymerization reaction with tolylene‐2,4‐diisocyanate ( TDI ) gave novel aromatic polyurea dye, which is insoluble in most organic solvents. These novel polyureas have inherent viscosities in a range of 0.15–0.22 g dL?1 in DMF at 25°C. trans‐Diastereoselective hetero‐Diels–Alder reactions took place in the presence of SiCl4/activator systems. The reactions of aldehydes with a derivative of Danishefsky’s diene afforded the corresponding pyrones with high yields and diastereoselectivity upon activating SiCl4 with suitable neutral Lewis bases. Aldol intermediates deriving from a Mukaiyama‐type pathway were isolated in many cases. The employment of a chiral activator allowed us to convert Danishefsky’s diene (or its disubstituted derivative) into both aldols and pyrones in good to high enantiomeric excesses.  相似文献

A ligation strategy based on the Diels–Alder [4+2] cycloaddition for the two‐step activity‐based labeling of endogenously expressed enzymes in complex biological samples has been developed. A panel of four diene‐derivatized proteasome probes was synthesized, along with a dienophile‐functionalized BODIPY(TMR) tag. These probes were applied in a Diels–Alder labeling procedure that enabled us to label active proteasome β‐subunits selectively in cellular extracts and in living cells. We were also able to label the activity of cysteine proteases in cell extracts by utilizing a diene‐derivatized cathepsin probe. Importantly, the Diels–Alder strategy described here is fully orthogonal with respect to the Staudinger–Bertozzi ligation, as demonstrated by the independent labeling of different proteolytic activities by the two methods in a single experiment.  相似文献

One‐shot treatment of a mixture of Danishefsky diene 4 and tetraallyltin 8 with 3‐formylbenzylidene imines 1 in the presence of Sc(OTf)3 catalyst provides a single product 13 as a result of exclusive Diels–Alder and allylation reactions on the imine and aldehyde functions, respectively. The chemoselectivities of the respective elementary reactions are improved in the parallel reaction, and the redistribution of substrate 1 that is induced readily by Sc(OTf)3 is completely suppressed, thus offering a novel protocol for simplification of the multi‐step chemical process.  相似文献

Perylene dianhydride (PDA)-incorporated polyimides were prepared. The perylene unit in the polyimide was thermally converted to the corresponding N-heterocyclic polyarene unit through a Diels–Alder reaction. The monomer, 2,2-bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl) hexafluoropropane (6FAP), was modified via O-alkylation to improve the solubility of the polymer. 2-Ethylhexyl-attached 6FAP yielded a soluble copolyimide that contained ca. 70 mol% PDA using pyromellitic dianhydride. The perylene unit of the copolyimide transformed to a polyarene unit through the dipolar cycloaddition of 4-aryl-1,2,4-triazole-3,5-dione (TAD) and maleic anhydride. The perylene transformation of the polyimide occurred with 50% conversion with maleic anhydride and quantitatively with TAD. The PDA-copolymer exhibited a spectral blue-shift and red-shift by maleic anhydride and TAD, respectively.  相似文献

Hafnium chloride tetrahydrofuran complex (HfCl4⋅2 THF) is an efficient catalyst for the Diels–Alder cycloadditions of 3‐ethoxycarbonylcoumarins 1a – c and 1,3‐butadienes 2x – z under solvent‐free conditions furnishing the corresponding cycloadducts in excellent yields. This salt is an air stable Lewis acid and therefore the reactions can be performed in air atmosphere making the procedure simple to be carried out.  相似文献

Various imidazolium ionic liquids such as [Bmim]PF6, [Bmim]SbF6, [Bmim]OTf and [Bmim]BF4 were screened for recycling an organic catalyst [(5S)‐5‐benzyl‐2,2,3‐trimethylimidazolidin‐4‐one ( 1 )] for asymmetric Diels–Alder reactions. Good yields and enantioselectivies (up to 85% yield and 93% ee) were obtained from reactions in [Bmim]PF6 or [Bmim]SbF6. However, reactions in [Bmim]OTf or [Bmim]BF4 gave racemic products in low yields. Isolation of the products by simple extraction using diethyl ether allowed recycling of the ionic liquid containing the immobilized catalyst in subsequent reactions without significant decrease of yields and enantioselectivities.  相似文献

A new type of diamine monomer containing the anisyl moiety was synthesized via a straight‐forward one‐step procedure. Anisaldehyde was reacted with 2,6‐dimethylaniline in the presence of dry HCl to attain bis(4‐amino‐3,5‐dimethylphenyl)anisylmethane. A series of organo‐soluble polyimides were prepared using the anisyl diamine and various aromatic dianhydrides via a two step method involving thermal imidization. All polyimides are soluble in strong polar solvents such as N‐methyl‐2‐pyrollidone, N,N‐Dimethylformamide, and N,N‐DimethylAcetamide. The polyimides show excellent thermal stability and good mechanical properties. The glass transition temperatures of the polyimides are in the range 265–294 °C. The tensile strengths are in the range 79–99 MPa and the temperatures at which 10 % weight loss occurs are in the range 460–496 °C. Copyright © 2004 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献
