In this paper, we describe Nicolog, a language with capabilities similar to recently developed constraint logic programming (CLP) languages such as CLP(BNR), clp(FD), and cc(FD). Central to Nicolog are projection constraints (PCs), a sublanguage for compiling and optimizing constraint propagation in numeric and Boolean domains. PCs are an interesting generalization of the indexical constraints introduced in cc(FD) and also found in clp(FD). Nicolog compiles a very general class of built-in constraints into equivalent sets of PCs, allowing an arbitrary mixture of integer (easily extensible to real) and Boolean operations. Nicolog also lets the user program PCs directly, making it possible to implement new sophisticated propagation procedures. We show that PCs are a simple, efficient, and flexible way to implement most of the propagation procedures possible in other FD CLP systems. These include procedures for cardinality, constructive disjunction, implication, and mixed Boolean/numeric constraints. Empirical results with a simple prototype Nicolog implementation based on the WAM architecture show it can solve hard problems with speed comparable to the fastest existing CLP systems.  相似文献

针对已有的RTL数据通路模拟矢量自动生成方法的不足,提出一种利用约束逻辑编辑(CLP)自动生成数据通路模拟矢量的新方法.该方法首先对给定的Verilog RTL描述采用程序切片进行设计化简,然后对化简后的结果基于位向量算术原理生成CLP约束,并利用CLP求解器GProlog进行约束求解,最终生成满足输出要求的模拟矢量.该方法约束求解速度快,生成的约束是统一的,得到的模拟矢量较完备,能满足模拟验证的要求.实验结果表明,文中方法是一种高效的RTL数据通路模拟矢量自动生成方法.  相似文献

针对当前特定网络检测方法中没有对数据粒度进行过滤,数据粒度过于粗糙,检测过程的单一,致使检测效率低、检测正确性偏差等问题。提出一种基于多约束信息融合的特定网络检测方法,利用Windows中的Wpcap.dll获取特定网络中NIC相关信息,构建特定网络侦听,制定过滤条件实现特定网络数据的获取;根据Rough集理论对特定网络数据粒度进行过滤,减小数据粒度的粗糙程度;构建特定网络检测模型,结合D-S证据理论得到基本置信函数值并确定值的权重,代入D-S合成公式获得检测结果,引入群体信任法对检测结果再次过滤,实现网络异常数据的彻底检测和清除,解决检测方法的单一性。实验表明,该方法提高了网络检测的效率和正确性,有效解决了当前网络检测方法中存在的问题。  相似文献

In this paper an application of constraint logic programming (CLP) to the resolution of nesting problems is presented. Nesting problems are a special case of the cutting and packing problems, in which the pieces generally have non‐convex shapes. Because of their combinatorial optimization nature, nesting problems have traditionally been tackled by heuristics and in the recent past by meta‐heuristics. When trying to formulate nesting problems as linear programming models, to achieve global optimal solutions, the difficulty of dealing with the disjunction of constraints arises. On the contrary, CLP deals easily with this type of relationships among constraints. A CLP implementation for the nesting problem is described for convex and non‐convex shapes. The concept of nofit polygon is used to deal with the geometric constraints inherent to all cutting and packing problems. Computational results are presented.  相似文献

Constraint satisfaction problems play a central role in artificial intelligence. A class of network consistency algorithms for eliminating local inconsistencies in such problems has previously been described. We analyze the time complexity of several node, arc and path consistency algorithms and prove that arc consistency is achievable in time linear in the number of binary constraints. The Waltz filtering algorithm is a special case of the arc consistency algorithm. In the edge labelling computational vision application the constraint graph is planar and so the time complexity is linear in the number of variables.  相似文献

There have been many proposals for adding sound implementations of numeric processing to Prolog. This paper describes an approach to numeric constraint processing which has been implemented in Echidna, a new constraint logic programming (CLP) language. Echidna uses consistency algorithms which can actively process a wider variety of numeric constraints than most other CLP systems, including constraints containing some common nonlinear functions. A unique feature of Echidna is that it implements domains for real-valued variables with hierarchical data structures and exploits this structure using a hierarchical arc consistency algorithm specialized for numeric constraints. This gives Echidna two advantages over other systems. First, the union of disjoint intervals can be represented directly. Other approaches require trying each disjoint interval in turn during backtrack search. Second, the hierarchical structure facilitates varying the precision of constraint processing. Consequently, it is possible to implement more effective constraint processing control algorithms which avoid unnecessary detailed domain analysis. These advantages distinguish Echidna from other CLP systems for numeric constraint processing.  相似文献

We give a complexity analysis of a variety of languages across the spectrum of the CLP scheme. By varying the logic and memory management, the role of the constraints and the role of the logic can be measured. The analysis clarifies the relation between linear/integer programming and constraint logic programming. We also determine how the power of constraints can easily lead to undecidable queries in Datalog languages with constraints. CLPGUI is a generic graphical user interface for visualizing and controlling the execution of constraint logic programs. CLPGUI has been designed to be used in different contexts: initially for teaching purposes, then for debugging complex programs of real-world scale, and recently for developing end-user interfaces. The challenge of developing a tool which is generic w.r.t. both the constraint logic programming system and the visualizers, is addressed by a client-server architecture for connecting a CLP process to a Java-based GUI process, and by a non-intrusive tracing and control method based on annotations in the CLP program. Arbitrary constraints and goals can be posted incrementally from the GUI in an interactive manner, and arbitrary states can be recomputed. We describe several generic 2D and 3D viewers of the variables and of the search tree, and argue that the 3D representation is best-suited to apprehend the shape of large search trees. We also illustrate the use of CLPGUI for developing application-oriented end-user interfaces on two placement problems, one in virtual reality.  相似文献

We introduce a new generic propagation mechanism for constraint programming. A first advantage of our pruning technique stems from the fact that it can be applied on various global constraints. In this work we describe a filtering scheme for such a family based on Dulmage-Mendelsohn Structure Theorem. Our method checks the feasibility in polynomial time and then ensures hyper-arc consistency in linear time. It is also applicable to any soft version of global constraint expressed in terms of a maximum matching in a bipartite graph and remains of linear complexity.  相似文献

应用约束规划方法建立炼厂原油混输模型,并通过搜索求解获得可操作的调度方案。约束规划允许以逻辑约束表达混输过程中的操作规则,使模型简洁直观,而对整型变量及非线性约束不敏感,则降低了模型的求解难度。选取了一个时间跨度为300小时实际调度问题作为案例,模型中包含约8000个变量和14000条约束,在普通PC机上计算求解,能够在30秒内获得调度方案,方案具有可操作性且优于人工方案,表明以约束规划方法解决原油混输调度问题是可行的。  相似文献

We show that constraint logic programming (CLP) can serve as a conceptual basis and as a practical implementation platform for the model checking of infinite-state systems. CLP programs are logical formulas (built up from constraints) that have both a logical interpretation and an operational semantics. Our contributions are: (1) a translation of concurrent systems (imperative programs) into CLP programs with the same operational semantics; and (2) a deductive method for verifying safety and liveness properties of the systems which is based on the logical interpretation of the CLP programs produced by the translation. We have implemented the method in a CLP system and verified well-known examples of infinite-state programs over integers, using linear constraints here as opposed to Presburger arithmetic as in previous solutions. In classical Constraint Satisfaction Problems (CSPs) knowledge is embedded in a set of hard constraints, each one restricting the possible values of a set of variables. However constraints in real world problems are seldom hard, and CSP's are often idealizations that do not account for the preference among feasible solutions. Moreover some constraints may have priority over others. Lastly, constraints may involve uncertain parameters. This paper advocates the use of fuzzy sets and possibility theory as a realistic approach for the representation of these three aspects. Fuzzy constraints encompass both preference relations among possible instantiations and priorities among constraints. In a Fuzzy Constraint Satisfaction Problem (FCSP), a constraint is satisfied to a degree (rather than satisfied or not satisfied) and the acceptability of a potential solution becomes a gradual notion. Even if the FCSP is partially inconsistent, best instantiations are provided owing to the relaxation of some constraints. Fuzzy constraints are thus flexible. CSP notions of consistency and k-consistency can be extended to this framework and the classical algorithms used in CSP resolution (e.g., tree search and filtering) can be adapted without losing much of their efficiency. Most classical theoretical results remain applicable to FCSPs. In the paper, various types of constraints are modelled in the same framework. The handling of uncertain parameters is carried out in the same setting because possibility theory can account for both preference and uncertainty. The presence of uncertain parameters leads to ill-defined CSPs, where the set of constraints which defines the problem is not precisely known.  相似文献

本文面向状态估计, 考察了通讯功率受限时线性动态系统状态的降维问题. 为了满足平行信道传输数据的维数限制和通讯功率约束, 采取降低状态维数的方法, 通过传输信号的新息, 提高传输效率, 利用有限的通信资源, 使得接收端的状态估计达到最优. 本文采用差分脉冲编码调制系统(DPCM), 基于最小误差熵估计准则和Kalman估计算法, 得出了最优的状态降维矩阵的设计方法, 并且对随机系统的可估计性以及对相应确定性系统的能观性进行了分析. 分析和仿真结果表明, 这种设计方法在传输信号满足通讯功率限制的条件下可以使接收端的状态估计性能达到最优.  相似文献

Constraint Retraction in CLP(FD): Formal Framework and Performance Results   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
Constraint retraction can be described, in general, as the possibility of deleting a previously stated piece of information. This is obviously very convenient in many programming frameworks, especially in those that involve some level of interaction between the user and the system, or also in those concerning rescheduling or replanning. Nevertheless, constraint retraction is usually not provided in current constraint programming environments. This is mainly due to its high complexity and also to its non-monotonic nature, which would make most of such systems much more complex to reason with. In this paper we avoid these problems by considering a specific constraint programming framework, called clpFD, that is, constraint logic programming (CLP) over finite domain (FD) constraints. We propose an algorithm which deletes a constraint from a set of FD constraints, while maintaining partial arc-consistency, which is usual in this programming framework. What is crucial is that the retraction operation we propose is incremental, in that it follows the chain of dependencies among variables which are set by the nature of the FD constraints, and by doing so it updates only the part of the constraint set which is affected by the deletion. We also detail how constraint retraction can be incorporated in the FD constraint solver and we evaluate its behavior within the clpFD system. Experimental results on usual benchmarks, on classes of problems of increasing connectivity, and also on a real-life problem show that in almost all cases the use of our retraction algorithm provides great speed-up with respect to standard methods while not slowing down the clpFD system when no retraction is performed. This provides the system with an efficient way of retracting constraints while not changing its performance when the user does not want to use this new feature.  相似文献

We present a concept for integrating state-of-the-art methods in geometric and qualitative spatial representation and reasoning with feature-based parametric modelling systems. Using a case-study involving a combination of topological, visibility, and movement constraints, we demonstrate the manner in which a parametric model may be constrained by the spatial aspects of conceptual design specifications and higher-level semantic design requirements. We demonstrate the proposed methodology by applying it to architectural floor plan layout design, where a number of spaces with well defined functionalities have to be arranged such that particular functional design constraints are maintained. The complementing strengths of Constraint (Logic) Programming (CLP) and Mixed Integer Programming (IP) have recently received significant attention. Although various optimization and constraint programming packages at a first glance seem to support mixed models, the modeling and solution techniques encapsulated are still rudimentary. Apart from exchanging bounds for variables and objective, little is known of what constitutes a good hybrid model and how a hybrid solver can utilize the complementary strengths of inference and relaxations. This paper adds to the field by identifying constraints as the essential link between CLP and IP and introduces an algorithm for bidirectional inference through these constraints. Together with new search strategies for hybrid solvers and cut-generating mixed global constraints, solution speed is improved over both traditional IP codes and newer mixed solvers.  相似文献

Several combinatorial problems, such as car sequencing and rostering, feature sequence constraints, restricting the number of occurrences of certain values in every subsequence of a given length. We present three new filtering algorithms for the sequence constraint, including the first that establishes domain consistency in polynomial time. The filtering algorithms have complementary strengths: One borrows ideas from dynamic programming; another reformulates it as a regular constraint; the last is customized. The last two algorithms establish domain consistency, and the customized one does so in polynomial time. We provide experimental results that demonstrate the practical usefulness of each. We also show that the customized algorithm applies naturally to a generalized version of the sequence constraint that allows subsequences of varied lengths. The significant computational advantage of using a single generalized sequence constraint over a semantically equivalent collection of among or sequence constraints is demonstrated empirically.  相似文献

Constraints have played a central role in cp because they capture key substructures of a problem and efficiently exploit them to boost inference. This paper intends to do the same thing for search, proposing constraint-centered heuristics which guide the exploration of the search space toward areas that are likely to contain a high number of solutions. We first propose new search heuristics based on solution counting information at the level of individual constraints. We then describe efficient algorithms to evaluate the number of solutions of two important families of constraints: occurrence counting constraints, such as alldifferent, and sequencing constraints, such as regular. In both cases we take advantage of existing filtering algorithms to speed up the evaluation. Experimental results on benchmark problems show the effectiveness of our approach.
