Thermally induced bending of sandwich panels composed of three symmetrically arranged layers is studied under the consideration of plane strain. Moderately thick elastic layers made of dissimilar transverse isotropic materials are considered. Analyzing two special cases of interlaminar connections, namely, perfect bond and elastic interlayer slip, a complete analogy between the corresponding initial boundary-value problems is derived. Subsequently, the response of the panel with elastic interlayer slip can be determined directly from the solution of the perfectly bonded sandwich panel with moderately thick faces by substituting effective parameters. 相似文献

A solar photovoltaic panel accumulates substantial amount of heat, which deteriorates its performance. Thus, to minimize the panel temperature, 3 new designs (semioval serpentine, circular spiral, and circular spiral semiflattened) of absorbers for back surface cooling are introduced in this paper. Experimental investigations on the panel performances with and without the designed cooling systems are performed. A similar experiment with an existing serpentine design of absorbers is also conducted, and the results of all the experiments are compared. The circular spiral semiflattened design absorber has shown preeminent performance among all the absorbers in terms of the highest improvement in efficiency (4.32%), fill factor (19.80%), etc. 相似文献

Present research deals with the geometrically nonlinear bending of a long cylindrical panel made of a through-the-thickness functionally graded material subjected to thermal load. A panel under the action of uniform temperature rise loading is considered. Formulation of the shell is based on the third-order shear deformation shell theory, where the first-order shear deformation and classical shell theory may be extracted as special cases. Thermomechanical properties of the shell are assumed to be temperature dependent and are estimated according to a power law function across the shell thickness. Also, it is assumed that shell is in contact with an elastic foundation which acts in tension as well as in compression. The nonlinear governing equations of the shell are obtained using the von Kármán type of geometrical nonlinearity. The obtained governing equations are solved for two cases, i.e., simply supported shells and clamped shells. The developed equations are solved using a two-step perturbation technique. Accurate closed-form expressions are provided to obtain the mid-span deflection of the shell as a function of temperature elevation. Numerical results are provided to analyze the effects of power law exponent, boundary conditions, temperature dependency, side to radius ratio, and side to thickness ratio. 相似文献

In this paper a new type of cooling ceiling panel with corrugated surface has been studied experimentally. A heat flux and a heat transfer coefficient for the new type panel were compared with the reference values obtained for a panel of a flat surface. It was shown that increase of the new panel cooling performance results both from increase of its area and from enhancement of natural convection heat transfer. For typical operation conditions, the increase of the new type panel cooling capacity varies from 26 to 55%, in comparison with the reference panel. In addition, the new type panel is more resistant to the risk of dew point and enables the achievement of higher EER values by the heat pump cooperating with it. 相似文献
