2D materials, particularly those bearing in‐plane anisotropic optical and electrical properties such as black phosphorus and ReS2, have spurred great research interest very recently as promising building blocks for future electronics. However, current progress is limited to layered compounds that feature atomic arrangement asymmetry within the covalently bonded planes. Herein, a series of highly anisotropic nanosheets (Sb2Se3, Sb2S3, Bi2S3, and Sb2(S, Se)3), which are composed of 1D covalently linked ribbons stacked together via van der Waals force, is introduced as a new member to the anisotropic 2D material family. These unique anisotropic nanosheets are successfully fabricated from their polymer‐like bulk counterparts through a gentle water freezing‐thawing approach. Angle‐resolved polarized Raman spectroscopy characterization confirms the strong in‐plane asymmetry of Sb2Se3 nanosheets, and photodetection study reveals their high responsivity and anisotropic in‐plane transport. This work can enlighten the synthesis and application of new anisotropic 2D nanosheets that can be potentially applied for future electronic and optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Graphdiyne (GDY) is a fascinating graphene-like 2D carbon allotrope comprising sp and sp2 hybridized carbon atoms. However, GDY materials synthesized by solution-phase methods normally come as thick and porous films or amorphous powders with severely disordered stacking modes that obstruct macroscopic applications. Here, a facile and scalable synthesis of ultrathin holey graphdiyne (HGDY) nanosheets is reported via palladium/copper co-catalyzed homocoupling of 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene. The resulting freestanding 2D HGDY self-assembles into 3D foam-like networks which can in situ anchor clusters of palladium atoms on their surfaces. The Pd/HGDY hybrids exhibit high electrocatalytic activity and stability for the oxygen reduction reaction which outperforms that of Pt/C benchmark. Based on the ultrathin graphene-like sheets and their unique 3D interconnected macrostructures, Pd/HGDY holds great promise for practical electrochemical catalysis and energy-related applications.  相似文献

Tin sulfide (SnS) 3D flowers containing hierarchical nanosheet subunits are synthesized using a simple polyol process. The Li ion cells incorporating SnS 3D flowers exhibit an excellent rate capability, as well as good cycling stability, compared to SnS bulks and Sn nanoparticles. These desirable properties can be attributed to their unique morphology having not only large surface reaction area but also enough space between individual 2D nanosheets, which alleviates the pulverization of SnS.  相似文献

2D materials have captured much recent research interest in a broad range of areas, including electronics, biology, sensors, energy storage, and others. In particular, preparing 2D nanosheets with high quality and high yield is crucial for the important applications in energy storage and conversion. Compared with other prevailing synthetic strategies, the electrochemical exfoliation of layered starting materials is regarded as one of the most promising and convenient methods for the large-scale production of uniform 2D nanosheets. Here, recent developments in electrochemical delamination are reviewed, including protocols, categories, principles, and operating conditions. State-of-the-art methods for obtaining 2D materials with small numbers of layers—including graphene, black phosphorene, transition metal dichalcogenides and MXene—are also summarized and discussed in detail. The applications of electrochemically exfoliated 2D materials in energy storage and conversion are systematically reviewed. Drawing upon current progress, perspectives on emerging trends, existing challenges, and future research directions of electrochemical delamination are also offered.  相似文献

Rational design of highly efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts based on 3D transition‐metal‐based materials for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is of great importance for sustainable energy conversion processes. Herein, a novel strategy involving outer and inner structural engineering is developed for superior water splitting via in situ vertical growth of 2D amorphous FePO4 nanosheets on Ni foam (Am FePO4/NF). Careful experiments and density functional theory calculations show that the inner and outer structural engineering contributing to the synergistic effects of 2D morphology, amorphous structure, conductive substrate, and Ni?Fe mixed phosphate lead to superior electrocatalytic activity toward OER and HER. Furthermore, a two‐electrode electrolyzer assembled using Am FePO4/NF as an electrocatalyst at both electrodes gives current densities of 10 and 100 mA cm?2 at potentials of 1.54 and 1.72 V, respectively, which is comparable to the best bifunctional electrocatalyst reported in the literature. The strategies, introduced in the present work, may open new opportunities for the rational design of other 3D transition‐metal‐based electrocatalyst through an outer and inner structural control to strengthen the electrocatalytic performance.  相似文献

A method has been developed to stabilize and transfer nanofilms of functional organic semiconductors. The method is based on crosslinking of their topmost layers by low energy electron irradiation. The films can then be detached from their original substrates and subsequently deposited onto new solid or holey substrates retaining their structural integrity. Grazing incidence X‐ray diffraction, X‐ray specular reflectivity, and UV–Vis spectroscopy measurements reveal that the electron irradiation of ≈50 nm thick pentacene films results in crosslinking of their only topmost ≈5 nm (3–4 monolayers), whereas the deeper pentacene layers preserve their pristine crystallinity. The electronic performance of the transferred pentacene nanosheets in bottom contact field‐effect devices is studied and it is found that they are fully functional and demonstrate superior charge injection properties in comparison to the pentacene films directly grown on the contact structures by vapor deposition. The new approach paves the way to integration of the organic semiconductor nanofilms on substrates unfavorable for their direct growth as well as to their implementation in hybrid devices with unusual geometries, e.g., in devices incorporating free‐standing sheets.  相似文献

Lithium‐ion capacitors (LICs) are promising electrical energy storage systems for mid‐to‐large‐scale applications due to the high energy and large power output without sacrificing long cycle stability. However, due to the different energy storage mechanisms between anode and cathode, the energy densities of LICs often degrade noticeably at high power density, because of the sluggish kinetics limitation at the battery‐type anode side. Herein, a high‐performance LIC by well‐defined ZnMn2O4‐graphene hybrid nanosheets anode and N‐doped carbon nanosheets cathode is presented. The 2D nanomaterials offer high specific surface areas in favor of a fast ion transport and storage with shortened ion diffusion length, enabling fast charge and discharge. The fabricated LIC delivers a high specific energy of 202.8 Wh kg?1 at specific power of 180 W kg?1, and the specific energy remains 98 Wh kg?1 even when the specific power achieves as high as 21 kW kg?1.  相似文献

2D layered materials with sensitive surfaces are promising materials for use in chemical sensing devices, owing to their extremely large surface‐to‐volume ratios. However, most chemical sensors based on 2D materials are used in the form of laterally defined active channels, in which the active area is limited to the actual device dimensions. Therefore, a novel approach for fabricating self‐formed active‐channel devices is proposed based on 2D semiconductor materials with very large surface areas, and their potential gas sensing ability is examined. First, the vertical growth phenomenon of SnS2 nanocrystals is investigated with large surface area via metal‐assisted growth using prepatterned metal electrodes, and then self‐formed active‐channel devices are suggested without additional pattering through the selective synthesis of SnS2 nanosheets on prepatterned metal electrodes. The self‐formed active‐channel device exhibits extremely high response values (>2000% at 10 ppm) for NO2 along with excellent NO2 selectivity. Moreover, the NO2 gas response of the gas sensing device with vertically self‐formed SnS2 nanosheets is more than two orders of magnitude higher than that of a similar exfoliated SnS2‐based device. These results indicate that the facile device fabrication method would be applicable to various systems in which surface area plays an important role.  相似文献

2D genuine unilamellar nanosheets, that are, the elementary building blocks of their layered parent crystals, have gained increasing attention, owing to their unique physical and chemical properties, and 2D features. In parallel with the great efforts to isolate these atomic-thin crystals, a unique strategy to integrate them into 2D vertically stacked heterostuctures has enabled many functional applications. In particular, such 2D heterostructures have recently exhibited numerous exciting electrochemical performances for energy storage and conversion, especially the molecular-scale heteroassembled superlattices using diverse 2D unilamellar nanosheets as building blocks. Herein, the research progress in scalable synthesis of 2D superlattices with an emphasis on a facile solution-phase flocculation method is summarized. A particular focus is brought to the advantages of these 2D superlattices in applications of supercapacitors, rechargeable batteries, and water-splitting catalysis. The challenges and perspectives on this promising field are also outlined.  相似文献

MoS2 and generally speaking, the wide family of transition‐metal dichalcogenides represents a solid nanotechnology platform on which to engineer a wealth of new and outperforming applications involving 2D materials. An even richer flexibility can be gained by extrinsically inducing an in‐plane shape anisotropy of the nanosheets. Here, the synthesis of anisotropic MoS2 nanosheets is proposed as a prototypical example in this respect starting from a highly conformal chemical vapor deposition on prepatterend substrates and aiming at the more general purpose of tailoring anisotropy of 2D nanosheets by design. This is envisioned to be a suitable configuration for strain engineering as far as strain can be spatially redistributed in morphologically different regions. With a similar approach, both the optical and electronic properties of the 2D transition‐metal dichalcogenides can be tailored over macroscopic sample areas in a self‐organized fashion, thus paving the way for new applications in the field of optical metasurfaces, light harvesting, and catalysis.  相似文献

2D layered nanomaterials have attracted considerable attention for their potential for highly efficient separations, among other applications. Here, a 2D lamellar membrane synthesized using hexagonal boron nitride nanoflakes (h‐BNF) for highly efficient ion separation is reported. The ion‐rejection performance and the water permeance of the membrane as a function of the ionic radius, ion valance, and solution pH are investigated. The nonfunctionalized h‐BNF membranes show excellent ion rejection for small sized salt ions as well as for anionic dyes (>97%) while maintaining a high water permeability, ≈1.0 × 10?3 L m m?2 h?1 bar?1). Experiments show that the ion‐rejection performance of the membrane can be tuned by changing the solution pH. The results also suggest that the rejection is influenced by the ionic size and the electrostatic repulsion between fixed negative charges on the BN surface and the mobile ions, and is consistent with the Donnan equilibrium model. These simple‐to‐fabricate h‐BNF membranes show a unique combination of excellent ion selectivity and high permeability compared to other 2D membranes.  相似文献

Although photocatalysis is one of the most promising technologies for environmental and energy issues, the irreconcilable contradiction between the absorption of the visible light and the strong redox capability of the photocatalyst and the low photocatalytic reaction kinetics result in the poor efficiency. Here, a composite photocatalyst is reported with high redox capability and accelerated reaction kinetics synergistically utilizing 2D semiconducting structural advantages and the noble‐metal‐free Schottky junction effect. The 2D structure can not only increase the bandgap of the photocatalyst but also improve the transfer and separation of the photogenerated charge carriers. Furthermore, the introduction of the noble‐metal‐free Schottky junction effect accelerates the photocatalytic reaction kinetics. The Schottky barrier can also prevent the photogenerated charges trapped by the electron acceptor from flowing back to the semiconductor, which can further boost the photocatalytic performance. The transfer process of the photogenerated charge carriers is also researched in detail by the comprehensive characterization methods, which enable the photocatalytic mechanism to be revealed.  相似文献
