Chronic nonhealing wounds remain a major clinical challenge that would benefit from the development of advanced, regenerative dressings that promote wound closure within a clinically relevant time frame. The use of copper ions has shown promise in wound healing applications, possibly by promoting angiogenesis. However, reported treatments that use copper ions require multiple applications of copper salts or oxides to the wound bed, exposing the patient to potentially toxic levels of copper ions and resulting in variable outcomes. Herein the authors set out to assess whether copper metal organic framework nanoparticles (HKUST‐1 NPs) embedded within an antioxidant thermoresponsive citrate‐based hydrogel would decrease copper ion toxicity and accelerate wound healing in diabetic mice. HKUST‐1 and poly‐(polyethyleneglycol citrate‐coN‐isopropylacrylamide) (PPCN) are synthesized and characterized. HKUST‐1 NP stability in a protein solution with and without embedding them in PPCN hydrogel is determined. Copper ion release, cytotoxicity, apoptosis, and in vitro migration processes are measured. Wound closure rates and wound blood perfusion are assessed in vivo using the splinted excisional dermal wound diabetic mouse model. HKUST‐1 NPs disintegrated in protein solution while HKUST‐1 NPs embedded in PPCN (H‐HKUST‐1) are protected from degradation and copper ions are slowly released. Cytotoxicity and apoptosis due to copper ion release are significantly reduced while dermal cell migration in vitro and wound closure rates in vivo are significantly enhanced. In vivo, H‐HKUST‐1 induced angiogenesis, collagen deposition, and re‐epithelialization during wound healing in diabetic mice. These results suggest that a cooperatively stabilized, copper ion‐releasing H‐HKUST‐1 hydrogel is a promising innovative dressing for the treatment of chronic wounds.  相似文献

To achieve large bending displacement and fast response time under ultralow input voltages, as well as improved durability, advanced high‐performance ionic actuators still face crucial design challenges that must be resolved. Here, hierarchically porous and unzipped graphitic nanoribbons anchored on graphene as an efficient electrode material for high‐performance electroionic artificial muscles are reported. Using controlled solvothermal and pyrolysis methods, nanoarchitectured carbon is derived from a self‐templated potassium‐based metal–organic frameworks–graphene hybrid. The newly designed ionic actuator demonstrates excellent actuation performance, including large bending displacement (17.4 mm) and a strain difference of 0.51% at 0.5 V AC input, very fast response time (700 ms) at 0.5 V DC input, wide frequency response (0.1–15 Hz), and excellent cycling stability (92%) after 25 000 cycles without any delamination of electrodes under continuous electrical operation. The breakthrough in actuation performance mainly stems from the unzipping of hollow nanorods to hierarchical porous graphitic nanoribbons anchored on graphene with the enlarged surface area, large pore volume, stronger mechanical integrity, and emerging charge storage and transport ability. Further, the electroionic actuator shows promise when applied in the demonstration of a biomimicking Venus flytrap.  相似文献

The fabrication of functional nanoplatforms for combating multidrug‐resistant bacteria is of vital importance. Among them, silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) have shown an antibacterial effect; however, the remainder cores of Ag NPs after use might have a toxic effect on humans. Thus, Ag ions based materials have been fabricated to substitute Ag NPs for antibacterial applications. Nevertheless, the always‐on release state leads to the low biocompatibility, which limits their biomedical applications. In addition, the single effect also restricts their antibacterial ability. Herein, a powerful surface‐adaptive, on‐demand antimicrobial nanoplatform is fabricated by coating hyaluronic acid (HA) on Ag ions loaded photosensitive metal‐organic frameworks to exhibit a strong synergistic effect. The nanoplatform shows good biocompatibility with nontargeted cells, as negatively charged HA can prevent the release of Ag ions. While in the presence of targeted bacteria, the secreted hyaluronidase can degrade HA on the nanoplatform and produce positively charged nanoparticles, which display increased affinity to bacteria and show a strong synergistic antibacterial effect owing to the released Ag ions and generated reactive oxygen species under visible light irradiation. Importantly, due to the outstanding on‐demand antimicrobial performance, the nanoplatform also shows great effects on treating multidrug‐resistant bacteria infected wounds in mice models.  相似文献

Recent emerged antibacterial agents provide enormous new possibilities to replace antibiotics in fighting bacterial infectious diseases. Although abundant types of nanoagents are developed for preventing pathogen colonization, however, rationally design of nonchemotherapic, robust, and clinical‐adaptable nanoagents with tunable bacterial trap and killing activities remains a major challenge. Here, a demonstration of controlling the trap, ablation, and release activities of pathogenic bacteria via stimulus‐responsive regulatory mechanism is reported. First, temperature‐sensitive polymer brush is chemically grown onto carbon nanotube–Fe3O4, whereby the synthesized nanoagents can transfer from hydrophilic dispersion to hydrophobic aggregation upon near‐infrared light irradiation, which thus controls the bacterial trap, killing, and detaching. In turn, the formed aggregations will serve as localized heating sources to enhance photothermal ablation of bacteria. Systematically antibacterial experiments and mouse wound disinfection demonstrate the ultrarobust and recyclable disinfection capability of nanoagents with nearly 100% killing ratio to Staphylococcus aureus. Overall, for the first time, we represent a pioneering study on designing nonchemotherapic and robust dual‐responsive nanoagents that can sensitively and reversibly trap, inactivate, and detach bacteria. We envision that such nanoagents will not only have potential applications in pathogenic bacteria prevention but also provide a new pathway for wound disinfection, implant sterilization, and also live bacteria transportation.  相似文献

Sodium‐ion hybrid capacitors (SIHCs) can potentially combine the virtues of high‐energy density of batteries and high‐power output as well as long cycle life of capacitors in one device. The key point of constructing a high‐performance SIHC is to couple appropriate anode and cathode materials, which can well match in capacity and kinetics behavior simultaneously. In this work, a novel SIHC, coupling a titanium dioxide/carbon nanocomposite (TiO2/C) anode with a 3D nanoporous carbon cathode, which are both prepared from metal–organic frameworks (MOFs, MIL‐125 (Ti) and ZIF‐8, respectively), is designed and fabricated. The robust architecture and extrinsic pseudocapacitance of TiO2/C nanocomposite contribute to the excellent cyclic stability and rate capability in half‐cell. Hierarchical 3D nanoporous carbon displays superior capacity and rate performance. Benefiting from the merits of structures and performances of anode and cathode materials, the as‐built SIHC achieves a high energy density of 142.7 W h kg?1 and a high power output of 25 kW kg?1 within 1–4 V, as well as an outstanding life span of 10 000 cycles with over 90% of the capacity retention. The results make it competitive in high energy and power–required electricity storage applications.  相似文献

The replicative construction of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) templated with solvent‐insoluble solid substrates is of marked importance, as it allows for the assembly of 2D and 3D macro‐ and mesoscopic architectures with properties that are challenging to attain by the conventional solution‐based synthesis approach. This work reports an in situ and direct construction of MOFs from zero‐valent metal substrates via a green hydrothermal oxidation–MOF construction chemistry without the use of any additional metal source, chemical reagents, or acidification of solvent, and elucidates the zero‐valent metal derived formation mechanisms of MOFs and their structure modulation to 1D nanofibers (NFs), 2D film, and 3D core–shell microstructures. Through modulation of the competing surface oxidation‐dissolution and MOF crystallization kinetics, Al@MIL‐53 core–shell microstructures and MIL‐53 (Al) NFs are obtained that exhibit unique morphologies and marked properties superior to the conventional MIL‐53 (Al) powders. The generality of zero‐valent metal‐templated synthesis of MOFs is demonstrated with formation of MIL‐53 (Al), HKUST‐1, and ZIF‐7 polycrystalline films on Al, Cu, and Zn metal meshes, elucidating the significance of the approach utilizing solid metal substrate that can be easily processed into various shapes, architectures, and compositions.  相似文献

Functionalized metal–organic frameworks (fu‐MOFs) of general formula [Zn2(fu‐L)2dabco]n show unprecedentedly large uniaxial positive and negative thermal expansion (fu‐L = alkoxy functionalized 1,4‐benzenedicarboxylate, dabco = 1,4‐diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane). The magnitude of the volumetric thermal expansion is more comparable to property of liquid water rather than any crystalline solid‐state material. The alkoxy side chains of fu‐L are connected to the framework skeleton but nevertheless exhibit large conformational flexibility. Thermally induced motion of these side chains induces extremely large anisotropic framework expansion and eventually triggers reversible solid state phase transitions to drastically expanded structures. The thermo‐responsive properties of these hybrid solid–liquid materials are precisely controlled by the choice and combination of fu‐Ls and depend on functional moieties and chain lengths. In principle, this combinatorial approach allows for a targeted design of extreme thermo‐mechanical properties of MOFs addressing the regime between crystalline solid matter and the liquid state.  相似文献

The complex tumor microenvironment (TME) and nonspecific drug targeting limit the clinical efficacy of photodynamic therapy in combination with chemotherapy. Herein, a metal–organic framework (MOF) assisted strategy is reported that modulates TME by reducing tumor hypoxia and intracellular glutathione (GSH) and offers targeted delivery and controlled release of the trapped chemodrug. Platinum(IV)‐diazido complex (Pt(IV)) is loaded inside a Cu(II) carboxylate‐based MOF, MOF‐199, and an aggregation‐induced‐emission photosensitizer, TBD, is conjugated to polyethylene glycol for encapsulating Pt(IV)‐loaded MOF‐199. Once the fabricated TBD‐Pt(IV)@MOF‐199 nanoparticles are internalized by cancer cells, MOF‐199 consumes intracellular GSH and decomposes to fragments to release Pt(IV). Upon light irradiation, the released Pt(IV) generates O2 that relieves hypoxia and produces Pt(II)‐based chemodrug inside cancer cells. Concomitantly, efficient reactive oxygen species generation and bright emission are afforded by TBD, resulting in synergistic image‐guided photo‐chemo therapy with enhanced efficacies and mitigated side effects.  相似文献

The construction of bifunctional electrode materials for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) has been a hot topic of research. Herein, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) derived micro‐/nanostructured Ni2P/Ni hybrids with a porous carbon coating (denoted as Ni2P/Ni@C) are prepared using a feasible pyrolysis–phosphidation strategy. On the one hand, the optimal Ni2P/Ni@C catalyst exhibits superior HER performance with a low overpotential of 149 mV versus a reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) at 10 mA cm?2 and excellent durability. The density functional theory computations verify that the strong synergistic effect between Ni2P and Ni could optimize the electronic structure, thus rendering the enhanced electrocatalytic performance. On the other hand, the Ni2P/Ni@C electrode displays a reversible capacity of 597 mAh g?1 after 1000 cycles at 1000 mA g?1 and improved rate capability as an anode for LIBs, owing to the well‐organized micro‐/nanostructure and conductive Ni core. In addition, the electrochemical reaction mechanism of the Ni2P/Ni@C electrode upon lithiation/delithiation is investigated in detail via ex situ X‐ray powder diffraction and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy methods. It is expected that the facile and controllable approach can be extended to fabricate other MOF‐based metal phosphides/metal hybrids for electrochemical energy storage and conversion systems.  相似文献

A fluorous metal–organic framework [Cu(FBTB)(DMF)] (FMOF‐3) [H2FBTB = 1,4‐bis(1‐H‐tetrazol‐5‐yl)tetrafluorobenzene] and fluorous nonporous coordination polymer [Ag2(FBTB)] (FN‐PCP‐1) are synthesized and characterized as for their structural, thermal, and textural properties. Together with the corresponding nonfluorinated analogues lc‐[Cu(BTB)(DMF)] and [Ag2(BTB)], and two known (super)hydrophobic MOFs, FMOF‐1 and ZIF‐8, they have been investigated as low‐dielectric constant (low‐κ) materials under dry and humid conditions. The results show that substitution of hydrogen with fluorine or fluoroalkyl groups on the organic linker imparts higher hydrophobicity and lower polarizability to the overall material. Pellets of FMOF‐1, FMOF‐3, and FN‐PCP‐1 exhibit κ values of 1.63(1), 2.44(3), and 2.57(3) at 2 × 106 Hz, respectively, under ambient conditions, versus 2.94(8) and 3.79(1) for lc‐[Cu(BTB)(DMF)] and [Ag2(BTB)], respectively. Such low‐κ values persist even upon exposure to almost saturated humidity levels. Correcting for the experimental pellet density, the intrinsic κ for FMOF‐1 reaches the remarkably low value of 1.28, the lowest value known to date for a hydrophobic material.  相似文献

The activity of electrocatalysts strongly depends on the number of active sites, which can be increased by downsizing electrocatalysts. Single‐atom catalysts have attracted special attention due to atomic‐scale active sites. However, it is a huge challenge to obtain atomic‐scale CoOx catalysts. The Co‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) own atomically dispersed Co ions, which motivates to design a possible pathway to partially on‐site transform these Co ions to active atomic‐scale CoOx species, while reserving the highly porous features of MOFs. In this work, for the first time, the targeted on‐site formation of atomic‐scale CoOx species is realized in ZIF‐67 by O2 plasma. The abundant pores in ZIF‐67 provide channels for O2 plasma to activate the Co ions in MOFs to on‐site produce atomic‐scale CoOx species, which act as the active sites to catalyze the oxygen evolution reaction with an even better activity than RuO2.  相似文献

Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) hold great promise as porous matrixes for the incorporation of Au nanoparticles (NPs) because of their rationally designed framework structures. Unfortunately, the as‐synthesized bulk MOFs usually vary in the range of micrometer or sub‐micrometer size, rendering extremely longer molecular diffusion distance of chemical species. 2D MOF nanosheets with extended lateral dimensions and nanometer thickness are expected to implement fast kinetics and effectively lower mass‐transfer barriers during embedding Au NPs process and sequential catalytic reactions. In this study, a novel 2D nanosheet of mixed‐ligand Ni(II) MOF (referred to NMOF‐Ni ) is successfully fabricated. With the merits of well‐defined micropores and functional oxygen‐decorated inner walls, the incorporation of quite monodisperse ultrasmall Au nanoparticles of around 1 nm into NMOF‐Ni has been achieved for the first time. The resulting nanocomposites exhibit remarkable catalytic performance and good size selectivity toward aqueous reduction reactions of nitrophenol, taking advantage of ultrasmall Au and 2D nanosheet nature, as well as the intact microporosity of host matrix. The present encouraging findings might shed light on new ways to develop high‐performance heterogeneous catalysts by using of 2D MOF nanosheets with functional cavities as hosts for homogeneous distribution of ultrasmall Au NPs.  相似文献

Compartmentalization is an essential feature found in living cells to ensure multiple biological processes occur without being affected by undesired external influences. Here, compartmentalized systems are developed based on the self‐assembly of metal–organic framework (MOF) nanoparticles into multifunctional MOF capsules (MOF‐Cs). Such MOF‐Cs have the capability of controlling molecular transportation and protecting interior microenvironment, thus making tandem reaction along trajectories to desired products. First of all, MOF‐Cs present controlled molecular transportation derived from molecular sieving property of MOFs. Second, MOF‐Cs can protect the encapsulated cargoes from denaturation and maintain their catalytic activity. Third, MOF‐Cs can provide spatial segregation for incompatible species and facilitate communication between these compartments to perform tandem reactions. These compartmentalized structures offer new views in the transportation, microreactor, and biotechnology.  相似文献

The synthesis of doxorubicin‐loaded metal–organic framework nanoparticles (NMOFs) coated with a stimuli‐responsive nucleic acid‐based polyacrylamide hydrogel is described. The formation of the hydrogel is stimulated by the crosslinking of two polyacrylamide chains, PA and PB, that are functionalized with two nucleic acid hairpins ( 4 ) and ( 5 ) using the strand‐induced hybridization chain reaction. The resulting duplex‐bridged polyacrylamide hydrogel includes the anti‐ATP (adenosine triphosphate) aptamer sequence in a caged configuration. The drug encapsulated in the NMOFs is locked by the hydrogel coating. In the presence of ATP that is overexpressed in cancer cells, the hydrogel coating is degraded via the formation of the ATP–aptamer complex, resulting in the release of doxorubicin drug. In addition to the introduction of a general means to synthesize drug‐loaded stimuli‐responsive nucleic acid‐based polyacrylamide hydrogel‐coated NMOFs hybrids, the functionalized NMOFs resolve significant limitations associated with the recently reported nucleic acid‐gated drug‐loaded NMOFs. The study reveals substantially higher loading of the drug in the hydrogel‐coated NMOFs as compared to the nucleic acid‐gated NMOFs and overcomes the nonspecific leakage of the drug observed with the nucleic‐acid‐protected NMOFs. The doxorubicin‐loaded, ATP‐responsive, hydrogel‐coated NMOFs reveal selective and effective cytotoxicity toward MDA‐MB‐231 breast cancer cells, as compared to normal MCF‐10A epithelial breast cells.  相似文献

Metal–organic framework (MOF) nanosheets have attracted significant interests for sensing, electrochemical, and catalytic applications. Most significantly, 2D MOF with highly accessible sites on the surface is expected to be applicable in data storage. Here, the memory device is first demonstrated by employing M‐TCPP (TCPP: tetrakis(4‐carboxyphenyl)porphyrin, M: metal) as resistive switching (RS) layer. The as‐fabricated resistive random access memory (RRAM) devices exhibit a typical electroforming free bipolar switching characteristic with on/off ratio of 103, superior retention, and reliability performance. Furthermore, the time‐dependent RS behaviors under constant voltage stress of 2D M‐TCPP–based RRAMs are systematically investigated. The properties of the percolated conducting paths are revealed by the Weibull distribution by collecting the measured turn‐on time. The multilevel information storage state can be gotten by setting a series of compliance current. The charge trapping assisted hopping is proposed as operation principle of the MOF‐based RRAMs which is further confirmed by atomic force microscopy at electrical modes. The research is highly relevant for practical operation of 2D MOF nanosheet–based RRAM, since the time widths, magnitudes of pulses, and multilevel‐data storage can be potentially set.  相似文献

Despite recent progress in photo‐electrochemical (PEC) water oxidation systems for TiO2‐based photoanodes, PEC performance improvement is still seriously hampered due to poor carrier transport efficiency and sluggish surface water oxidation kinetics of pristine TiO2. Herein, for the first time a brand new metal–organic framework (MOF)‐derived Co3C nanosheet with narrow bandgap energy is demonstrated, to effectively sensitize TiO2 hollow cages as a heterostructure photoanode for PEC water oxidation. It is found that MOF‐derived Co3C nanosheet with narrow bandgap characteristic can simultaneously accelerate the surface water oxidation kinetics and extend the light harvesting range of pristine TiO2. Meanwhile, a uniquely matched type‐II heterojunction constructed between MOF‐derived Co3C and TiO2 results in an evidently spontaneous e?/h+ separation. MOF‐derived Co3C/TiO2 heterostructure photoanodes bring about drastically improved PEC water oxidation performance. Specifically, MOF‐derived Co3C‐3/TiO2 photoanode with an optimized content of Co3C achieves the highest photocurrent density and charge separation efficiency of 2.6 mA cm?2 and 92.6% at 1.23 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode, corresponding to 201% and 152% improvement compared with pristine TiO2 nanocages. The ingeniously prepared MOF‐derived Co3C carbide with narrow bandgap energy as a cocatalyst paves new way to construct potentially high performance solar‐energy conversion system.  相似文献
